Do this in the oven for a nice creamy gravy.

Ingredients
| 2 |
lb beef brisket, upper portion |
| 1 |
T Salt |
| 1/8 |
cup Vegetable oil |
| 1/2 |
pound carrots, peeled and cut into 2-inch pieces |
| 4 |
stalks celery, cut into big chunks |
| 3 |
medium onions, peeled and cut into eights |
| 6 |
cloves garlic, peeled and lightly smashed |
| 26 |
ounce whole tomatoes |
| 1/3 |
cup light brown sugar |
| 1 |
cup chicken stock |
| 2 |
tablespoons red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar |
Directions
- Seer the meat.
- Lightly cook veggies in pan drippings, then pour over the beef in a shallow cooking dish.
- Combine remaining ingrediants, and warm in pan to pick up remaining flavors from beef and veggies. Then pour over meat and veggies.
- Lightly cover with foil, keeping sides vented for steam.
- Cook in 200 degree oven for 6-8 hours.
