Healthy version of a South African treat. Most people dunk them in tea.
| 1 | cup oil |
| 1 | kg flour |
| 4 | tsp baking powder |
| 1 | tsp salt |
| 6 | cups bran |
| 1 1/4 | cups brown sugar |
| 3 | eggs |
| 2 | cups water |
- Mix wets.
- Add dries.
- Press into a large baking pan, and bake at 180 C for 40-60 minutes.
- Break into roughly 4x2x2' pieces.
- Dry out slowly in the oven until hard all the way through.
- Store in an airtight container.
