Crock Pot Stroganoff

Makes 8 servings

beef stroganoff with egg noodles

Ingredients
2 lbs stew meat, cubed
1 tbsp cooking oil
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 tbsp onion, minced
2 tsp garlic, minced
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp thyme
16 oz sherry
1 1/2 cup fat free sour cream
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup water
4 cup egg noodles
Directions
  1. Brown beef in hot oil and drain fat

  2. Combine beef, mushrooms, onion, garlic, oregano, salt pepper, thyme, beef broth, sherry and bay leaf in slow cooker.

  3. Cover; cook on High 4-5 hours.

  4. Discard bay leaf.

  5. Mix together sour cream, flour and water.

  6. Stir one cup of the hot liquid into sour cream mixture.

  7. Cover; cook on High for 30 mins.

  8. Serve over noodles.
