| 1 3/4 | cups sugar (baker's) |
| 1 1/4 | cups brown sugar |
| 1 | cup unsalted butter |
| 3 | tbsp vanilla |
| 2 | large eggs |
| 3 | cups all-purpose flour |
| 3/4 | tsp baking soda |
| 1/2 | tsp salt |
| 1 1/2 | cups semisweet chocolate chips |
| 1 | cup chopped hazelnuts |
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix sugars together until well combined. Melt butter and mix in with sugars while butter is still warm/hot. Beats eggs and add eggs and vanilla to sugar mixture. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to sugar mixture just until combined and no more. Dough will be stiff. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop large spoonfuls onto cookie sheet at least 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly.
- Bake for 12-18 minutes or until cookies become golden brown around the edges. Cool on wire racks.
