| 1/2 | cup butter |
| 1/2 | cup sugar |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 | cup unsweetened applesauce |
| 1 1/2 | tsp ground cinnamon |
| 1 | tsp ground allspice |
| 1/2 | tsp ground cloves |
| 1/2 | tsp salt |
| 1 | tsp baking soda |
| 1 | cup all-purpose flour |
| 1 | cup oats |
| 1/2 | cup chopped walnuts |
Preheat oven to 350. Butter 24 small muffin tins. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Stir in applesauce and spices. Sift together salt, soda and flour. Add to applesauce mixture and beat well. Stir in nuts. Fill muffin tins 2/3 full and bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Batter keeps well in refrigerator, and baked muffins freeze well (reheat before serving). Yields 24 small muffins.Categories
