| 14 | oz firm tofu |
| 2 | T olive oil |
| 1 | medium onion, chopped |
| 1 | medium green pepper, chopped |
| 2 | cloves garlic, minced |
| 2 | T low-sodium soy sauce |
| 2 | c tomato sauce |
| 1 | T chili powder |
| 1/2 | tsp cumin powder |
- Heat olive oil in medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Add onion, green pepper and garlic, and sauté for 5 minutes or until tender.
- Add tofu and soy sauce, and sauté for 5 minutes or until tofu starts to brown.
- Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder and cumin powder.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot over toasted hamburger buns.
