Microwave Granola Bars Recipe

Why put your trail mix in a bag when you can turn it into a convienient bar! This delicious snack goes over great with kids and it's quick and easy to make.

Ingredients
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 1/4 cups crispy rice cereal
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup raisins or chocolate chips
1/3 cup toasted wheat germ
Directions
  1. Grease a microwave baking dish (12x8)

  2. In a large bowl, cream sugars with butter until light

  3. Beat in honey, vanilla, and egg. Blend well

  4. Gradually blend in flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Beat at low speed

  5. Fold in remaining ingredients with a spoon

  6. Press firmly into the baking dish

  7. Microwave on Medium for 7-9 mins or until set
