I am 40 yrs old, married with 2 children, one boy, one girl...both are 14 yrs. old.  I have 4 dogs and two cats. I never meant to have so many animals, but I volunteer with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals...and somehow I keep falling in love with the misfits and bringing them home. I work full-time, volunteer with the SPCA and Mobile Theatre Guild, and go to school . I am studying Graphic Design and Photography.

I am 5'7" and currently weigh 165 lbs.  Four years ago I was 128 lbs.  That was before starting the Depo shot.  My weight has inched up to the point that I am very unhappy with my appearance.  I gain weight evenly, so people are very surprised to find out how much I actually weigh.  My goal is to get to 135 lbs. before the end of the year. My husband is 6 years younger than me and is slim and trim.  This extra weight makes me feel old and unattractive. I would like slim down for my own self-esteem...and because my back has been damaged by taking the Depo shot and I need to relieve some of the pressure (weight) off my frame.

I am a very focused and determined person and I know that now that I have seriously set my mind on taking the weight off, and stopped taking the Depo shot, that I can acheive my goal.
