Hi, I would like to get in shape for the summer...I am currently in college and have gained a bit more weight than I would have liked to:) I am 5'3 and weigh 143lbs...would love to go down to 125lbs or so over the course of the next few months and would love to hear from anyone else with the same situation?
I could certainly do with some motivation...someone to chat to when Im contemplating a chocolate binge:)
HEY LADIES! missed everyone. sorry i've been MIA but we went camping for 10 days in michigan's upper peninsula, no signals or computers just nature, peace and quiet. and bugs! it was awesome! the kids had a blast and now i that i'm home i have to stop eating mackinac island fudge and get back into the swing of things! let ya know on friday but i'm sure i've gained :( Oh BTW hasta, the really cute guy pic is my favorite actor of all time and i'm only slightly obsessed with him HEHEHE Christian Bale!! TTYL all

hi hasta, i'm weighing in early because we are going out of town to stay with family this weekend but as i guessed i've gained, 145.8. there's always next week. my husband doesn't really exercise or eat very healthy and he loses so easily! so not fair! well i did discovered an ass-kicking workout DVD called Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, she says she wants you to feel like you are going to die and she aint kiddin! that pretty much sums it up cuz i saw the white light a couple times during jumping jacks
it's hard and vigorous but she promises good results so we'll see. have a good weekend all

I'm at 59 kilos / 130.1 lbs, so that's a slight decrease from last week. I've been upping my excercise a bit> actually went running in a 40 degree heat (celsius, that is) and nearly fainted from exhaustion....![]()
i did sin a bit yesterday (and the other days too, when it comes to alcohol, but have stuck to either a beer or a few glasses of white wine) and went to Mickey D's.... not exactly proud of myself, but i managed to steer clear of my fries (had only FIVE!) and had a chicken steak sandwich at 318 cals... the wedding is next weekend and i'm still hoping to loose another kilo...
oh / and then i wanted to ask you guys what it's like for you, when ppl finally start noticing and complimenting you on your looks? At first i was reluctant to take it in, but realised how annoying it is for someone to give a compliment and not have it received well...so now i allow myself to get pleasantly surprised when ppl notice and comment, and thank them for saying it to me.....
im 136lbs today yey...headin to a restaurant in an hour oops:) great motivation to lay off the fries though!!
Happy Friday! I'm at 140.2 and very relieved that the extra lbs last week were a fluke. Unfortunately, 1 month ago, I was at my lowest since we started. I weighed 2.8 lbs lower than today. I'm going shoot to get that much off for next week. I hope that's realistic.
Hi everyone. It's Friday. Today, I weigh 136. I'm planning on running afterwork today. Need to work out some more because I family a family BBQ on Sunday. I swear, weekends are bad for me. Way too much carbs!!!!!! I'll try and have a good day tomorrow, work out and eat reasonably on Sunday with a treat...hahaha...or two. Have a good one!!
Hello, Im' new to CC. But i'm 21 years old 5'4-5'5". About two years ago around this time i was at 130 pounds and looking forward to gettng to 125. A little over a 1.5 ago i quit smokng cigarettes and found myself at my highest weight ever 153lbs =( I was mortified and started dieting.... I'm down to 143 but i CANNOT get under 140... I'm so frustrated... I'm eating healthy and everything =( I work close to 70 hours a week so it makes it very difficult to get to the gym becausei 'm always so tired... I love calorie count and it's really making me pay attention to what i'm putting in my mouth. I'd really like to get down to 130 again. And even 125 at some point... Low carb diets work for me.. but i love fruits and potatoes and pasta so i'm trying to do calories and portion control instead... and its' working.. just coming down sooo slowly. I'm jus glad to be under 145 and not putting it back on... HELP! any suggestions. I sit at a desk m-f 8:30-5 and i wairess 5-6 nights a week.
My weight for the week changed a little bit; lol, I'm actually pretty relieved it's still within manageable range.

Ah the last day of the weekend. I'm planning to take my family canoeing on a lake that runs through downtown. It's really more of a river, but they call it a lake here. Not sure what I'll do for excercise today. Yesterday I jogged but if I don't get out there pretty early today it will get too hot. Maybe I'll haul my bicycle out of the garage. I haven't ridden it in ages. Y'all have fun and keep checking in frequently to let us know how you're doing.

I am back from vacation. It was fun to be in nature at the cottage and disconnected from the world. But I am glad to be back and have a bit of normalcy and routine back in my life. I got up early today and went to aerobics and it kicked my butt!!
I ate very poorly during my vacation I am sad to report. But I have to say I did give myself permission to do it and we did a lot of swimming and biking. I stepped on the scale this morning (maybe a mistake?) and I am up to 145. I am hoping that once my salt content in food goes down some pounds might come off.
Hasta-I hope things in your life are calming down, or that you at least have time to do some exercise. I find doing exercise does help with stress, but sometimes it is hard to find the time.
I am glad to be back and hope to knock off a few pounds before Friday's weigh in.

Day 9 of a 10 day road trip. The first 4 was a sales meeting in Easley, SC and the last 6 are teachings with The D'alai Lama in Bethlehem, PA. Tomorrow's the last day and I should be back up in Northampton, MA tomorrow night (my home).
Not a good week to monitor my calories nor manage them. Hoping to be back in the swing of things by the end of the week.

Lol, it's getting tougher and tougher girls but I think we're already doing great by not giving up -we're still here aren't we?!

wow renekane you must have a hard time eating healthy being on the road so much. That's funny that you work for a canoe co. because i love canoeing. my husband and i just took my parents 40-some year old aluminum canoe down a river for 2.5 hours and had a blast. now we are looking to buy one and don't know what to get cuz my brothers' both have a light weight one for portaging but they are tippy. Any suggestions? we want something light but stable for my two kids to sit in. ANYWAY... i think you were asking what do we all do and where we all live. I am in Michigan, a nurse but currently stay at home mom of 2 small kids.
i was wondering how often and for how long you all exercise. I'm exercising 4-5 times a week for 30-60 mins. I usually do an exercise dvd and i hate
the treadmill so i don't do it very often.
Hi everyone. I am a juvenile probation officer. I just got out of my afternoon court hearing. Court and my juvies keep me busy. Sometimes I'm so busy I don't have time to eat. I've been getting better and keep some Musclemilk (protein powder) handy as well as some Quaker chewy bars. As for work outs, I've been pretty consistent the last month working out 5-6x a week for 40 to 60 minutes. I either do 40 - 50 minutes of cardio(run or machine) 3 times a week, then 20-30 min cardio(machine) with 20 circuit training 3 times a week.
Eh, you asked what we are doing and where we live? Lol, as you can tell I say "eh" a lot because, I am Canadian! Lol (Canadian joke). As for what I do, I do a lot of things -so what would you like to know?
In terms of work, I'm 100% student and in terms of exercise, I like to walk, so I walk for about 60 minutes everyday (well almost everyday if not everyday).
Oh yeah! Two more days until weigh in!! Can't wait!!

To answer the questions, I am a public health nurse working with communicable diseases in Madison, WI. Nothing too exciting.
I try to workout everyday, trying to take Fridays off or only weight lift that day. I am training for a triathlon so I swim bike and run different days for 30-60 minutes depending on the activity. Also try to lift weights 2-3 times a week for 30-45 minutes. It keeps me busy
