♥"A Healthy Baby & Me" Pregnancy Group♥

Quote  |  Reply

Since there are a few of us who are interested in staying healthy and active during our pregnancy, I thought it would be great to start a "pregnancy group".

I know that for many of us, it is easy to get caught up in the pregnancy and sometimes we do not always worry about what kind of food we are eating or if we are active.

This group will serve as a daily, weekly, or whenever you want check-in to keep us all motivated to remain healthy and active throughout our pregnancies.  Feel free to discuss whatever else you may want as well.

Here are some helpful links to check out as well:

Hi Guys!  How has everyone been doing this past week?

UTR, congrats on your (possible) baby boy!!!!  Did you ever decide on a boy name?

Thanks Cecily!

I'm partial to Cole.  LOL!  I guess the Col- part is popular in my family.  My cousin has two sons named Colby and Colton.  We were sort of having a hard time with boy names, too, this time.  There are tons we liked, but we kind of couldn't agree.  I like Chance, but Joe was stuck on Chase, and I couldn't come up with a middle name for that.  Now I'm kind of glad it's a girl. :)

I like Chase too!  My girlfreind is pregnant with a boy and she's naming him Cody-  toooo cute!!  Girls name are fun to pick out-  but hard too!!!!  My DH and I couldn't agree on anything except Julia and I had to FIGHT to get a middle name in there.  If I was having a boy; he would not have a middle name.  It would be just plain Joey.  Which would kinda fit our style anyway.  LOL.  Little Joey M.  awwww!!!

Julia is a very pretty name.  There are so many cute girl names out there!

I went to my first ultrasound today! I posted the picture as my default. My little gummy bear is really developing!!!!

My husband and two sons were able to join me so it was that much more special. Hearing and seeing that little heart beating is so moving!

According to dates I am just a few days over 10 weeks today, according to the ultrasound measurements, etc... I'm over 11 weeks! My doctor said it wasn't drastic enough to change my due date though and I can live with that. Being that this is my third baby, he/she will probably come early anyhow!

I developed thryroid issues recently, my TSH levels were high but went down on their own. I'm on meds now, Lavoxyl 100mg, daily and will need to have my blood drawn monthly to closely monitor it. Other than that I'm okay! I have to say that this pregnancy is different than my other two. My breasts are huge and extra sore... yesterday I felt like someone literally whooped on me I was so sore. I'm tired a lot and still very very hungry but everything seems to be tapering off. I'm almost out of the first trimester, woo hoo! I'd love the energy I had before to start working out again though.. between sore breasts and exhaustion I just can't do it!

Hope everyone else is coming along beautifully!!!!

flgirl, do you plan to find out what you're having?  Were your sons excited to see the ultrasound?

As for me, I'm 37 weeks, 4 days today.  I have so much pressure on my pelvis.  And it seems like my hips have really been hurting the past few days.  I hope this means I'll have a baby soon!  This is pretty much how I felt in the week to two weeks before I had my son, so I don't think it'll be much longer.  I'm excited! :)

My boys were totally excited but I think my youngest was a little scared, lol! I think they thought they would see a clear visual like a 4D but I'm not sure! We'll find out the sex around week 22! Can't wait to know the sex!!

Are you in that worry stage that your water will break any moment? I hate that feeling! You're pretty little girl will be here before you know it! How exciting!!!

Ha!  I actually do think about my water breaking since it happened with Cole.  Luckily, I was at home when it happened, but everytime we go out, I think about it.  Which reminds me, I should put a pad in my purse in case I need it.  LOL!

Hi Ladies!

I am resurrecting this thread to see how everyone is coming along in their pregnancies.  Smile

Vanessa and Cecily have already had their beautiful girls.  Who's next?

I'm still a ways away at week 25 (as of tomorrow), but we found out a few weeks ago that we're having a girl as well!! Lot's of girls being born around here, lol Smile

Congrats hotmomtobe!  Do you already have a name in mind?

Hello All! I just found out I was pregnant last week. I haven't had my first check up yet but I looked it up on a website by the first day of my last period and it said I was 6 weeks pregnant and my due date will be around April 29th. My 25th birthday is on April 23rd so if he/she comes a little early it will be a nice birthday present! I'm hoping to have a girl, as I already have one little boy, Lukas, who just turned 3 years old last month. However, I will be happy with another little healthy boy as well!

Congrats ShayeSmile

I'm officially into my second trimester!! Thank goodness too... all that nausea was starting to really make me an angry person! Sadly though, I've gained about 10 pounds.... during the first three months I ate when I was feeling yucky, which was a lot! It was the only thing that made me feel better. I get tired easily still and have the occasional headache which I have to say, a caffeinated drink does the trick on! I'm hoping to only gain another 10 over the next three months since I'm not needing as much food and I feel good enough again to start my workout routine again. I can't wait till the cooler weather hits, I'm in FL so the hot lasts longer here, so I can start walking in the mornings and at lunch again!

Thanks undertherainbow! Hubby and I are considering Brooke or Maegan! (I'm partial to Brooke, so we'll see!) What about you- have you picked out a name?

I've got to get it in gear and get started on her room! It's fun...the shopping and decorating, but stressful because I want everything to be perfect for my lil angel. While I know I have a ways to go, I know that time has flown by so far and it's only going faster and faster!

Congrats to all the new members. It's cool to see new faces as the vets are giving birth left and right. LOL! Surprised I believe I'm  next at 34 weeks 4 days with my second daughter and it's fun to watch others starting their own avdentures.

So far I am up 17 lbs total and feeling great. I have tons of energy too. Hope this keeps up the last few weeks; about 5 to go.

Maybe we will be a board full of girls!

I bet your daughter is so anxious for her little sister, Shill!  You don't have much longer to go.  Smile
