Yeah I get the Bally's thing for free for two months..so I figured I'd go as long as could without paying for it...I'll get another session free with a trainer in a month anyways...My boyfriend was like..why pay someone when you can go online and get the info yourself?  I think I just like the idea of having someone tell me what I'm doing right or wrong..how I can improve and that extra push..I guess I feel like if I walk in I should be able to hold my head high knowing I did well..if I don't do well I'd probably walk in with my head down haha

Ok, I'm really getting serious about this now.  I've promised myself that I will drop the extra weight by May (in time for warm weather clothes).

My current post-holiday/post-vacation weight is 108 lbs :(  (bear in mind I'm 4'9.5").  I WILL get back below 100 lbs.  (This puts my BMI at about 19.5-20)

Wish me luck! :-D

Good luck!!!

HAHA the weight I have to lose is your size...I have to lose a lilsammi;)

I had a post here congratulating danibelle..and how I wished my boyfriend would also quit smoking but I don't know what I Did with it

so there it is again:)

Good luck Sammi!

I love that you can laugh about it therria4, Im wishing you all the best of luck through your weightloss journey. I have about 50 more lbs to go and since last april Ive lost 15 lbs... its feels great but knowing that Im going to get there feels even better. Good luck!

I really like this one.

Had a three-day-weekend, drank too much beer and didn't get out to exercise b/c of the snow and the indoor track was closed.  I wish I had a treadmill or something in the house!  I already feel like I've put on weight, but didn't want to step on the scale this morning.

Though when my fiance wanted to get pizza last night we didn't, instead we made english muffin pizzas w/fat free cheese, a little better at least.  We're trying, it is so hard sometimes though, especially on weekends when we just want to kick back!  I guess it really is a change of attitude and decisions ALL the time and not just during the week :( I've gotta dig down and find that motivation again!

LOL @ "Losing a lilsammi" that was cute.

Scarter-You'll get the motivation back. I was reading your bio, and saw some of your goals, I say put on that 2 piece and take a picture in it, to look at whenever you need the motivation. I have some belly shots of me at my most unflattering and even though it's only a matter of 5-15 pounds the difference is quite dramatic, and it really helped me. I'll post em when I get home, I have one at my heavier weight, then down in 5 pound increments, I can't wait to take my 140 shot Laughing

Somethings I like to do when I can't leave to work out- Squats are real easy..I also bought small hand weights..lunges in place....jumping jacks..and depending on how high your ceilings are in an area with no carpets-jump roping...

ps I live in an apt on the second floor but luckily my neighbors are rarely home HAHA I happen to have a cat that sounds like an elephant when she's running down the hall...they claim they never hear anything..hope not :)

Hello everyone! I am new to the site. I'm twenty years old and I want to lose fifteen to twenty pounds. I am doing the twelve week program and I am on week 3 day 17. Anyone else doing the program? What have your results been?

well I didnt reach my mini goal to be under 180 by the 15th. I am exactly 180 lbs. But I am very excited to see the scale on fridays weigh in!

dmartineau welcome! I have been doing the 12 week exercise program and Im really enjoying it (I took a week off for no reason) I have a lot more weight to loose than you do so my results cant measure up to you. I am also on week 3...should be on week 4 lol. When I do stick to it I definitely loose weight, its a really good program and I hope it works for you! keep up the good work.

I hope everyone is doing really well. Now that Im back on track I cant wait for it to be Friday!!

Scarter what happened to the no excuse policy?! You were like my mentor lol. Youll get back on track soon and youll appreciate it even more!

Kirsten you should be there by friday, you can do it!
Hey I am really glad I found this forum! I am 22 and have 100 pounds that I need to loose.  That was so funny "loosing a lilsammy" , it is hard when you have 100 + to loose  that's like an entire other person!! Anyway if you read my profile you will see my main problem is mainly lack of self control. I go to the gym everyday and am loosing weight  but I also eat junk food everyday and even though I know that has to be slowing me down I can't stop.  Those of you that go to Bally's do you know if they ever plan to open one in Austin TX ?? I go to 24 hour  and both that one and my other option ,Gold's ,are very male oriented.
I wish you all the best of luck :)  It's a struggle whether you're working on 100 lbs or the last 10 and everyone should be proud that they're trying to get healthy!

I am going to swim tonight and I'm going to make myself do at least 2500 meters.  I was up to 3500 m for a while but I've slacked off and I don't want to hurt myself and lose motivation by pushing too hard again too soon.

Good luck everyone!! :)

Welcome Yessica. I have a serious sweet tooth my weaknes is cakes and pastry type thigns, any who. Eating healthy is always gonna be difficult, but the first thing you can do is GET RID OF THE UNHEALTHY STUFF, throw it away , or if you aren't into wasting give it to someone who will devour it and not gain a ounce (don't ya just love those folks, lol). Something that helped me at work when the freakin vending machin is calling name, BRING YOUR OWN SNACKS, healthy ones, fruit cups, sugar free puddings, fresh veggies etc. If you know you ar ethe type that has to have a candy bar, buy the SNACK/FUN SIZE, but only eat one and savor it cause you can't eat 3

lilsammi, I used to swim, I loved it when I get older and get my own house built it will have pool. I miss swimming it was the only fitness I liked to do. Have fun swimmin those laps, you'll be back up to 3500m in not timeLaughing

Hey all! I've been floating around CC for awhile, but I never noticed this thread!! It's nice to have people to talk to that you have things in common with. I just started for the 3rd time- but this time I'm going to finish! :-)

Amayou: I hear ya on the junk food. We don't have a vending machine- we have people that love to cook yummy, fatty foods for us! :-) I've made it a point to keep my drawer stocked with healthy, filling snacks!

Thanks Amayou, Im excited, and Yessica Just wanted to say about the junk food (I love sweets).....I like slim fast chocolate bars. they are super yummy and are well balanced and they get an A for nutrition on this site. Honestly I used to be a junk food junkie but I made the decision to eat healthy and I havent looked back. You have to give into temptation (have a big glass of water first) but only once in a while and dont over induldge. The key is to not withhold it from yourself and the cravings will go away, I promise.

Mandi glad you found us, Good luck! If I was counting, this would probably be the hundredth time Ive tried to loose weight, but it doesnt matter how many trys it takes as long as you always get back to it... which brings me to todays quote... I just got home and its 1am so this is tomorrows quote....if that makes sense lol.

Perseverance is failing nineteen times and succeeding the twentieth.

Thanks for the quote!  I'm starting to think that what I thought was "motivation" is actually stress which is making me want to eat comfort food.  Grrr.  So jealous of all of you who've been talking about swimming and Bally's ... I can't wait for warmer weather!

That's a great quote Kirsten, I think I might print it out and put it up in my cube here at work. (yeah, that's right, I'm on the internet at work :)

and as for the junk food, it's sooo my weakness, especially those mini candy bars everyone seems to have out on thier desks for people, and cookies. I love me a good cookie. I brought in tootsie rolls to help resist the chocolate and try to plan my snacks for the work day, it helps. But really, my biggest motivator, I just really really really want to lose this weight with every fiber of my being.

Yeah, I can't wait for warmer weather too!  It's going to be below zero here for the next couple of days...

I'm just lucky I have an indoor lap pool nearby that I can use! :)

It's Weigh in day

I'm down to 143, I'm on a roll. Take that plateauTongue out
