How to stick with this4ever ~ The most important thing is to find a healthy approach that works for you that you can enjoy for the rest of your life. Create your new lifestyle. Let's talk about how!
Wow I have been so busy at work the last few days I didn't have a chance to stop by the boards (but I made sure to post my calories really quick because I don't want to get behind and forget something). Good news though. I got a promotion! I'm now a supervisor. YAY!
Krysties4I love your motto! I had actually ordered a recumbent (sp?) bike at the end of August and it was supposed to be in by the time I started on here, but it still isn't in! Grr..I just found out today that they had the wrong phone number so they couldn't schedule a delivery. Everything is sorted out now so hopefully I should get it Monday or Tuesday and then I'll be going at it! I do have a treadmill, but I need to get it fixed because my dog dropped a huge rock on it while someone was running on it and let me tell you that is not a good combo! The mat just twisted all over itself and is stuck now. $1000 treadmill broken by a dog with a rock problem..haha... I do have a few workout DVD's but I had injured my knee one time and now when I try to do most of the DVDs that have leg kicks and a lot of knee being stuff my knee just pops like crazy. It doesn't hurt but I don't want to risk hurting it. Surprisingly running and bike riding is fine on it, it is just weird movements that bother it.
Oh another breakthrough. I found 40 calorie bread today! That cuts bread calories in more than half for me! (I hope it tastes ok) I also found veggie hot dogs with only 45 calories instead of the 75 calorie ones I was eating. I wish being a vegetarian automatically made you skinny, but let me tel you I've been one for 9 years now and it sure doesn't! haha.
Congratulations to everyone on all the water drinking and weight loss! You are all such an inspiration! Sorry for the long post but I have one more thing. Here is a quote I found that I really liked and wanted to share with everyone:
" It is said that when you wake up in the morning you have two choices. You can continue your dream in the bed, or you can get up and make your dream become true."

I first have to say I haven't done what I am supposed to this week. It's just been too crazy. I will be starting to walk at lunch, and the new water coolers are in at work. They have the cold water set at like 45 degrees. I'm not a big water drinker however I found a product to put in my water. It's kind of like the stuff they put in the flavored waters. Then I can drink the water with no problem.
Anyway, I figure I can walk at lunch and eat at my 1:30 break. I work 6am-2:30, so I have a nice schedule for lunch, snacks, etc. Now once I do a big(healthy) shopping it will be alot easier for me to stay on track.
Well, I just wanted to drop in and say Hi. Have a great week! I'll check in again tomorrow!

Jansa5 ~ Welcome! Wow Girl! U Rock! Choosing to lose without bypass is a big deal. I think we're all kinda working on that here, even if we haven't said so. Hopefully DH will come around as he sees your success. I'm thinking it makes a difference to have real support. I haven't found that in the rw ever, even with DH. He yeah, yeah's me and then brings me food. Talk about passive agressive! So, I'm thinking the support we find here can make a real difference for all of us. Glad you're joining us :)
Ok, I have to zoom. Have a trillion things to do today.... ok, maybe 5.... gotta jet! ;)
I was kinda thinking this week everyone could snag their measurements and make a *i want to do this because* declaration for when they look back?
feeling guilty.....
Hey! Hope you're all doing well! I had a bad night (Sat). Went WAY over my calorie goal for the day-like by 700. :( Too easily influenced by others during Girls Night Out!! That's an excuse, huh? Oh well, trying to not beat myself up too badly. Got right back on track today! :) Drank 10 Cups of water so far. My husband is really enjoying this! He's been laughing it up all weekend 'cause I have to piddle every 30min.
Anyway, I'll get my measurements tomorrow. REALLY NOT looking forward to that! The idea is kinda painful! I haven't measured now in 3 weeks. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised though? Yeah... we'll go with that! Think positive thoughts! SKINNYthoughts!! :)
LOL xoxoxo - cmcole
did the exact same thing Friday night eating cake batter :(
But guess what today's another day and so is all of next week.
Skinny thinking and healthy eating full speed ahead.
Plus a fun girls night out is so worth it!
Have a great start into the week everyone!
don't beat yourself up! we need to enjoy ourselves with friends sometimes! those days I usually will bump up and shoot for eating the calories I burn (instead of a deficit)... and even if I go over an extra couple hundred calories, not too big a deal. just slows me down a couple extra days.
remember, an extra 500 cals is only 1/7th of a lb. shouldn't even register on the scale
~ unless u do it day after day.... hey! starts shouting!!! i saw your eyebrows pop up & the lightbulb start to glow overhead. don't u even think it!!! Hah! (((giggles)))
Eat your veggies!
Eat your veggies!
Eat your veggies!
My special goal for this upcoming week is to EAT VEGGIES EVERY DAY! Specifically, my goal is to eat at least three different veggies every day, and to eat at least 4 servings of veggies, if possible. (Fruits and starches (potatoes/corn) don't count ... but tomato is a veggie for my goal!) And, it has to be a "real" serving .... not just a few leaves of lettuce on a sammie or a dill pickle spear .... actual VEGGIES!
I get so traumatized / devastated / distressed over the scale not showing what I want it to show, so my husband thinks I should go to a once-a-month weigh in. Do any of you do that? (His plan, by the way, is to take the scale OUT of the house .... he currently is just hiding it from me!)
=^..^= MOLLY
I was a bad girl this weekend. I am going to have to work really heard for the next 4 days for my Thursday weigh in. It was my son's 21st bday and I guess I partied for him.
Congrats to all the losers out there.
Have a good day.
Sooooo I got on the scale this morning and guess what

sounds good to me. I think I am still going to be working on water this week. I'm off and on at best with water one day I'm great (9-10 cups) the next day I forget and haven't had hardly any water at all (1-2 cups).
I'll work on veggies too I guess :)
I had a bit of a curve thrown at me yesterday. I went to the ER for a sore on my head, was prescribed meds, came home and decided to take a pregnancy test (since it's ttom) before taking meds. I and my DH were shocked - it was positive. We've wanted more children for three years now. It's so early though - I'm a wreck. Whatever happens, I want to keep tracking calories and limit my weight gain.
I'm up for the measurements (haven't done mine since mid - July. Veggie challenge sounds good too - I've been a bit lax lately on getting fresh veggies!
Should I use a cleanse to jump-start my diet?
A cleanse is unnecessary, but a short-term fast like the Master Cleanse you describe, might serve as a tangible signal of change and... Read more
