Hye ya'll. Sorry about the non posting, I have had a busy weekend. My son had his Special Olympic Swim Meet this weekend, he brought home two silver and one bronze. We will find out sometime this week if he qualified for the S.O. State Meet next month. I got back to work yesterday and was informed I have an inspection this week so I may not be able to post as regular as I have been. You are all awesome and we can do this. I will catch up on the posts I have not read later and you may have a long post later tonight.

I warned you guys.  I gained back 2 pounds.  I was actually thinking it was gonna be more.  I am really sorry about my numbers this week. I am going to do better this week.  My bf and I are pretty much off the south beach diet. That means I won't have the big numbers I had the first two weeks but I hope to contribute something.

Hi babygtbck,

This is a weightloss challenge along the same lines as the tv show "the biggest loser." Unfortunately sign ups are closed for this round, but you are more then welcome to "play along at home" just like people do on the show.  Make sure that you stay tuned to the "challenge" forum to watch for the next round to start up in 8 weeks.  Alternately you could keep checking the chalenge forum every day because people start new challenges almost everyweek and then you can join one of those!

Hey Team 3!

Well not so good on the weight loss this week - only 1lb lost!  Something I am pleased about though - I lost one inch from bust, waist and hips - so clothes feeling much better!

For those feeling a bit down this week -

letsgetitstarted..good job!..A steady pound or two weekly is better than the 5.6 down 4 up or 2 up I have been doing...

Week Loss = -.5 lbs

Total Loss =  8 lbs  I'm proud... That's more than two lbs a week.

So, I'm doing well.  .5 lbs is less than I wanted, but i'm GRATEFUL FOR IT.  I'm starting a new program that is good.  No real "diet" but eating the foods that will give me results.

I'm also following the bodybuilder's guides to losing fat.  I figure they know what they are talking about, considering losing fat is sort of an obsession with them.  It's really scientific discussion rather than the mumbo-jumbo you get on talk shows and infomercials.  Let me know if you want details!

Doing this is a test for me to see if the fat loss will increase...so it may work really well, or go badly, but I have confidence in it.

zenasavvy - thanks for the kind words.  I wish you a good week:)

austj020 - I would be interested in the bodybuilder's guides to losing fat.  Do you have a link to their site?

I'm down another 2lbs to 186.  Total of 5lbs lost since the first weigh in.  However it's a total of 10lbs loss since 3-15.

One of my husbands  friends came by tonight and brought me an old treamill - just a belt, no electronics (looks like it had something once but it broke off), but it does fold up.  I can't believe he remembered I was looking for one of these since I mentioned in passing about 1 month ago. 

He was was driving by just as someone in the next town was tossing it out so he grabbed it.   The important thing is that it works for what I want it for, moving my butt!!  And it was FREEEEE!!!!

     I am so sorry for not being able to post this year. I have been in the middle of an inspection all week. I am not losing as much as I want but I am still taking off inches. I wish I had more time to be on here providing the motivation and encouragement that I like to give, but when the Navy calls you jump. I have not been the best on my food intake, I have not been able to eat at my regular intervals as I usually do. I will try to be on later today.

Hey team 3,

So my loss for this week is only 0.6 pounds but it's a very important 0.6 pounds.  Since I started in January I have been down to 186 three times stay a while and then gain again.  I have not once been less.  Today is the first time since my son was born in October that I have beat that 186 mark.  Hopefully it means I'm doing something right and it'll keep going down.  Another difference this time is that I can see the loss now and feel it. 

As for my goal for this week I think I'll make sure I get outside and walk everyday.  I noticed that the last few days I haven't and my son has been waking up every two hours at night.  Maybe the fresh air will help him sleep through.  Speaking of which I beg anyone here who has had kids for advice.  He has not slept through the night yet and he's six months old.  My daughter always slept through the night so I never had a problem with her.  I have not had a single full night sleep in nine months (yes he kept waking me up even before he was born!)  I would have a whole lot more energy if I could get some sleep.  Maybe that's why it's taking so long this time, with my daughter it came off quick.  Any help would be much appreciated.

I hope all of you the best and my motivational words for the day are "if you tell yourself that you'll always be fat or never find happiness, chances are you'll end up fat and unhappy.  Tell yourself that you can get fit and you will be happy."

Hey there Family,
    I am not happy to report that the weight went back up a half pound to 268 this week. I am happy to report though that the inches continue to leave. I lost another half inch from my waist and added inches to my bicepts, chest and quads. I have not been doing anything different than the past couple of weeks, but I guess that the weight lifting has been helping the inches coming off. Sooner or later the weight will begin to come off again. I just wish it would be sooner than later. I am committing myself to losing the weight back this week plus some. Please forgive me for this week and I will make it up to all of you this next week.
    Thank you to all of you who picked up my slack this week, it looks as if we may be the big losers again this week. Everyone keep up the good work and I may be looking to our thread for some encouragement and motivation this next week. Thanks again everyone.

sorry i havent been on here or posted since weigh in day... i have been so  down the past few days!! no i havent been chowing down, just the oppsite... i know when people get down or depressed they eat.... not me i dont do anything but sit and cry.... i had a friend (of 4 years) that told me  a lie to my face and told other friends lies too.... but denied all of it when i ask them about it.... but i do know the truth! and it hurts to know your so - called - best friend - is stabbing you in the back, to gain whatever they want!! so with that being said, hubby told me to throw them to the curb!! and told me since i havent eatten anything since tue morning that i need to eat and get back on track.... so last nite while lying in bed, crying,  i thought who needs that crap in their lives?? is this what they really want?? ok this is what they get.... me no longer a friend! so after not eating for a couple of days will that hurt in my weight loss??? now i am just so hurt that they controlled my life for  a couple of days....  cause i have not eaten, or done any of my workouts!! and i told myself last nite that they arent worth this crap.... guys i still am not hungry and dont care if i eat!!  give me the boost i need, cause i am still hurting.... and dont know where to turn!! sorry!! but i hope my friends here will help me snap out of it!! thanks guys!! and sorry to vent my problems to ya!! have a nice day......

Gosh wildntaken...I got tears in my eyes reading your post.  I am so sorry you had to experience that.  Having someone so close to you hurt you in that way is so painful.  I am glad, tho, that you have the support of your hubby and all of us here.  I hope that you continue to find strength in your self that you don't need friends like that and you focus on taking care of you.  I hope you find your appitite again cuz I know I would be starving if I hadn't eaten in that long!  Haha! 

I didn't sleep well last night at all.  My bf and I got in a big fight.  When he is mad he holds onto things for what seems like forever and I hate him being mad at me so much.  It was over something I didn't think was a big deal...but I guess he did.  He snored all night and my tummy was upset from dinner.  UGH!  Thank goodness today is Friday.

Hey wildn taken,

You have to start slowly introducing food back in, so have some soup and maybe some whole wheat toast.  Something easy on your tummy.  hen try going for a walk, or maybe writing a letter or writing in a journal.  You have to get all those feelings out somehow because they sound like they are really damaging! Don't keep those toxic feelings from those toxic friends inside!  Release it and move on, or the only one hurt will be you!

Oh my dear wildntaken!

So sorry to read your sad post.  Don't let the "b******s"grind you down!  They are not worth it - they will get their just desserts one day - they will need someone and nobody will be there for them.  This person may well be jealous of your positive attitude, and your efforts to get healthy!  Meantime you must care for yourself, as kjmadill says have some soup, or something easy on your tummy.  I always have some oatmeal when my tummy is upset, it really helps.  I do hope you will be feeling stronger soon.

First things first! Wildntaken I wish I was able to write to you on Friday, I have told ya'll if ya need a shoulder you got mine. I know you have you family there, but it never hurts to have an extra shoulder handy! Let em go, I have had the same thing happen to me being in the Navy it happens all the time, now it takes quite awhile to get close to me. Let it go and go on living! No one needs the poison that kind of "friend" brings into a friendship.

Cristin, Do I need to come kick some boyfriend butt for ya?! Not really just trying to get ya to smile. I hope he grows up and gets over it, and ultimately to NOT HOLD ONTO THINGS and learn to be a duck, you know let the trivial stuff roll off his back.

Letsgetitstarted, You are awesome! Thanks for the motivation! Last week is the only thing I don't like about my job the inspections. Now after last week, my bosses told us to STOP the inspection. We now get to go back in about a month to RE-inspect them. Now every squadron gets TWO chances to pass the inspection, which in turn DOUBLES the amount of inspections. Thanks for the quote and I will try and be on more this week to help motivate all you ladies!
