140/130 club

Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's.  We can all use support.  Today I am focusing on all the food groups.  Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30.  A Super long day.  I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today.

i'm also @ 145 and my goal is 130........i feel like i have been stuuuck @ 145 for awhile so hopefully soon it will goooo down!!!!!! good luck everyone :)
Looking to join this club! I'm on my way to 125 actually, so this wil lhopefully just be a stepping stone! I've been stuck between 140 and 143 since around June so hopefully I can get down into the 130s in the next couple of weeks and continue on my way! Good luck to you all. :D

Just wanted to say hi to everyone and soon hopefully i will be hanging with this crowd on calorie count my goal is to be back to 130 working on it LOL other than that my lowest weight was at 120 didn't look so well with that weight so 130 would just be fine since I'm 5'6 other than that just wanted to say hi to all have a nice fittness day !!
Another 2.2 down! I'm closing in on my goal.
I'm down to 147.5 this morning.  I'm hoping that tomorrow I will be back to 147 or below.  It's about time for it to drop again.  My eating has been under control (pretty much) this past week, so I should be goiing down again soon.  How's everyone else doing?

I am now 140 ..... 11 pounds down ... 10 more to go ....everyone ... keep up the good work we can do it .....

i just want to be BELOW 135 in the next few days....
Sweeeeeeet.... I can finally stay here throughout the day (for some reason I always weigh about 2 pounds more at night than in the morning, but I seem to drop it all at night, and sometimes plus more). I am at 148, down originally from 184. 36 down, 30 to go!

yuk!  i'm still at 138... when will that number move! ... and in the right direction...lol...
I am 140 and want to hit 130s so bad its not funny.  I only seem to be loosing a pound a week. Don't get me wrong, I'll take what I can get but at 1200 calories a day I would have thought I would lose more at least 2pds occasionally.  I am going to kick up the walking and see if that will change things as well as I may add 100 calories next week to see if possibly I am in starvation mode.
I totally hear you.  I am 144 and am hoping to get down to 130 by Christmas.  I just found this site and I am so excited about it!  I love the fact that I have to be accountable to my daily log!  I really do believe that exercise is the key to losing the weight.  It also helps you mentally as you start to feel really strong and motivated.  Good luck with your weight loss quest and keep us posted!
Hmmm... I've been thinking...We talk about this 500 calorie-a-day deficit to lose a pound a week and about anything under 1200 calories putting us into starvation mode.  If I was only eating 1200 calories a day (which is only enough to sustain basic bodily functions) what happens when I exercise on top of that? Would I not be taking calories away from my basic body functions when I exercise?  Would I be right in thinking that I should be adding whatever calories that I am exercising away to my daily intake?  I would think that as long as I don't go over whatever my maintenance level would be for my ideal weight (except, perhaps on those days when I REALLY exercise) that there is no way that I would gain weight.  Might this not explain why some are having such a hard time losing the poundage?  Are we maybe not feeding our bodies enough to accomplish this weight loss?

If you've read my profile, you know that I have been eating at the maintenance level for my ideal weight since I started losing around Thanksgiving last year and have lost 79 pounds so far.

Some of you who are stuck may want to try upping you calories to a more realistic level and see what happens.  IF YOU DON'T GO OVER YOUR MAINTENANCE LEVEL FOR YOUR IDEAL WEIGHT, YOU WILL NOT GAIN APPRECIABLE WEIGHT!  If you gain a couple of pounds while you're getting your body out of starvation mode (yes, virginia, that is what has been going on here if you are still overweight, keeping your calories down and are no longer losing), you can be sure that it will only be temporary.  What have you got to lose except more weight?  You won't gain back all that you have lost by trying this, and I am living proof that it can be done!

So I just found this board, a little about me: I was 167 at the beginning of summer, went down to 153 and maintained, now at 156 and hoping to lose again...except I'm having trouble getting to the gym and not eating...:S  Help?

Also about the food part from the previous board, 1200 is only enough for a certain amount of muscle...but the more you lift wieghts and excersise, you are building more muscle cells which need to be fueled, so 1200 cal/day will proabably need to be increased slightly to account for the muslce increase (you dont' want to lose your hard earned muscle!)  And if you're not getting enough calories for the day the fat cells will not release the fat they are holding and will break down the muscle and use the protien instead.

i just want out of the 130's so bad... iknow i haven't been in them that long compared the the 140's but i'm getting impatient.
