This week, I am at 148 still! Thats fine for me. Next week I will lose.

OK: I know I'm late but I didn't get back from my conference until late Saturday and wanted a day to shed excess water weight associated with the crap I te last week.  This morning 235! Bonus!  I guess walking 5 - 10 miles each day to and around the convention center and running a 5K on Friday and Sunday really worked!

See you all next week!

Still at this plateau, which I imagine I will stay at until I can really get back into regular walking.  Snow two days ago, but very nice now, so that should be possible.  Also, tax season is really over, and I won't need to drive so as to have my car available.

Well, even though I seemed to keep it all off while away, this week 235.5; a slight gain...

Am 169.5lbs this week.

Is it just me or has our group become a bit distant recently? Each week we dont really say much other than our weight.

I for one am in need of a bit of support atm as am having real difficulty with self control! I keep snacking!

How is everyone else going with their weight loss?

xx

Snacking is fine, actually very good as one doesn't get painfully hungry.  The question is what.

I'm eating some radishes right now.  I don't even count celery and radishes, as I might eat one or several at a time.  I take fruit to work, which I log as either lunch or snack before I leave in the morning.

For me, self-control isn't necessary or even available--I don't have it.  All that's needed is the willingness to follow a simple plan using the very good set of tools found here.

I hope this is helpful to you.

Well this week was a huge movement on the scale for me; 231! I'm sure my body is finally happy I've stopped eating out everyday and stuffing some crap into it. (While I was away at conferences / meetings)

I agree with dinarly that snacking is fine as long as it is something healthy, filling and will stay with you and not make you more hungry. Not that I'm an expert; I do not always make the wisest choices and snacking in the evening when I'm home and not otherwise occupied with something, I reach for food.

Lucydawn, maybe we can be of some support to each other to not over snack and make better choices.  When I believe I'm making better choices they normally have some protien, carbs and lower in sugar.  I have some good peanut butter (Naturally More) that is lower in sugar, sodium, fat and had Flax seed in it.  Yummy and better than regularly processed p-nut butter.  I have it on a Omega 3 -enriched pita with some low or no-sugar strawberry preserves and a cup of skim milk.  Although a big snack, one that is yummy, filling and good for me.  Another would be turkey breast, fat-free cheese and the pita with a little honey mustard. Again, filling and yummy and less calories than the p-nut butter / jelly / milk combo.

Hope that helps.  Have a great week!

Not bad...As long as I keep a downward trend, I'm okay with it.

We could perhaps be more supportive.   I've been keeping the statistics, but it's very tedious to post them here.  Try this: http://members.tde.com/mokus/saturday.htm .  The chart itself shows our individual progress towards goal weight; the first table shows actual weekly weight.

Tax season is officially over.  Last week I went to a free sort of orientation to exercise equipment at my local community center.  I want to start rebuilding strength, of which I've lost a lot in the last few years.  When I was in my twenties, I could carry two cartons of 10 reams of 8-1/2 x 11 paper from the storeroom to the shop, about two hundred yards.  Now I can't even lift one carton.

It was snowing earlier, but has stopped now.  About time.

I did join the community center and went for the first time on Thursday, snow and all.  I didn't really exercise, but went to all the machines and confirmed the settings for them.  I was there about two hours, and it was rather tedious.

I found that some things I just can't do, because of my bad knee, but also because of bad balance.  I think that is going to have to be a priority.

My abilities in different areas were all over the place.  The machines don't seem to keep a consistent weight setting so it's very confusing.  I'm gradually learning about this stuff, I suppose.  I was full of disdain for it, of course.

Wow Dinarly snow!?  Where are you that you're still getting snow in late April / early May?  I can't imagine; but then again I do live in Florida :-) Used to be a Jersey boy but we never had snow that late that I remember.  Lots in February, maybe March but never after that.

OK;  serious stuff 232.... gained a little but I have been eating more and had some wine a couple of nights this week.  That surely sisn't help.  But it was yummy.  I'll go check out the chart now.

Later!

Hey everyone, sorry my computer has been playing up recently so haven't been able to get on here!!

staps that sounds like a plan to me! If you have a bad snack write it down somewhere and then at the end of the week we say what we've had. We can see just how bad / good we are with snacking!

Does anyone else want to track our snacks? Snack track Smile lol

This week i am, 169lbs. Planning on a healthy week next week and have been doing yogalates so will keep up with that too.

Have a good week everyone!! xx

I'm eight miles south of Denver; it's very unusual to have snow this late.  Today was fine, though.

I've posted the new graph, same place.

I log my snacks along with everything else, but I'll post them if you'd like.

This is due to my having started strength training on machines at the local recreation center.  So far I'm still at the beginning stages, trying to see where I'm starting from.  Thursday I did do a regular routine.  It does not seem very strenuous really, because I think I spend most of the time going from one machine to the other and changing settings, but this is safer, I think, for a person who has never done any consistent exercise.

However, I am sore, but not enough to be an interference.

i am 146lbs and have not really eaten well so i am VERY happy :)

I have not been exercising as much as i used to so i need to start again...

sorry i missed last week, it was my mom's b-day :)

OK; 234 this week.  I'm going the wrong way!  Have had a hard time not snacking and eating back all my exercise calories - plus! I need to get back on track and lose; not gain... Ahhhh!

Why is this closed for newcomers?

It started in January.  New groups start up constantly, and old groups dissipate.  This one is now down to four members.

Alrighty then! 235 this morning! Still going the wrong way; but I haven't been good that's for sure.  Although Tuesday - Thursday I was excellent. Last weekend with Mom's Day, hanging with friends, and other excuses I ate like crap. I guess I paying for it!

Donisharee please feel free to join in. It's starting to get a little lonely around here! LOL
