I started a month ago (but havent lost one pound), so I may be cheating since I started before you guys, but my dad and I made a pact to lose 15 pounds by the end of Dec. I want in!

14lbs gained whilst travelling - needs to go before i see my family at xmas!! or they will get a bit of a shock.. am trying very hard with workouts and sensible eating.. i'm doing weights after my workouts is that why my weight hasn't changed for a month or exercise??
I'm in, too. Currently 246.4 as of this morning, goal would be 235. Really my honest goal is 230 by New Year's, but we'll see how that one goes.

I haven't the slightest clue how it dropped like that. All week, the scale was stuck around 246-248, and today just dropped out to 242 (and I weighed again just to be sure it was right).

just weighed in and did not lose any weight this past week but I am coming off my period so that might change.
I have been doing bodies with Gilad every other day and stationary biking on the other days kind of mixing things up. I still need to cut back on what Im eating though.

I am down about 3 lbs. in 2 weeks. WHOOPIEEEEEEEEEEE!!! 20 more lbs to goal, but only 8 more lbs. to make my xmas goal!!!!! I can live with that :-)

I suddenly dropped 3 pounds this week, and it showed up both today and yesterday, so I hope that stays! At this rate, 235 by Christmas should be no problem - maybe even 230. But let's call it a success either way! :-)

Happy Friday all. I can hardly believe it. I lost 3 pounds this week! But I have a feeling next week won't be so rewarding. Yesterday I totally went over my calorie intake. It was my father in law's birthday and I had pasta, and birthday cake as well as a leftover hoagie from halloween. Not to mention a couple of pieces of chocolate that my daughter got for halloween. I guess I am entitled to one day of cheating since I have been losing consistantely for weeks now. I'm back on track today and plan on walking on my treadmill every day for the next week.
I'm almost halfway to my Christmas goal weight of 142 and I have 7 weeks to go!

Hey rocky, I was having the same problem as you. Beans are fantastic to help up your fiber and also very filling and nutritious. Are you eating whole grain breads? that helped me as well.
And if you like cereal, I love Fiber One Honey Clusters. It's fairly low-cal and really delicious.
Hi Parkagirl, One of my favourite salads is a mexican bean and corn salad - LOVE it and it is great for the fiber intake, but I need variety. I am a real foodie, and although I can make a huge batch and eat the salad for lunch all week, I need something to alternate it with. I don't eat much for breads, but when I do eat them they are multigrain and full of nuts and seeds... I tend to use low carb, high fiber, whole wheat pita for a sandwich if I am going to have a sandwich. I also eat a museli cereal that is high in fiber, but still only seem to average 18-20g per day (except on my bean salad days). I will definately try the Fiber One Cereal though as I love variety. :)
I am a long-time lurker, never posted until now. But I'm ready for a challenge and could use the accountability.
I am 5' 3.5" and I've been staying around 125 to 126. I would like to get back down to my fighting weight of 118. I'll weigh in tomorrow morning.
I've been hanging on to these extra 7 lbs or so since after my second baby (who is now 19 months!). Those pounds have gotten just too comfortable on my body! It is time.
