| Post Meals, Share Information, Weigh in every Monday! Everyone welcome | ||
| Mar 09 2008 19:05 | ||
Hi Everyone, *So I've revised this group because I want to be able to share information, get ideas, and be held accountable. I think by having more members that I will benefit more from it! Since there are a lot of us Maritimers here I thought I would create a group where we can connect and have weekly weigh-ins. I'm also going to track my inches because losing inches is my main target right now. I'll be posting my starting stats tomorrow morning and we'll have the weekly weigh-in every Monday! Maybe this will help us curve our weekend appetites :) Please add anything else you wish to share ..i.e receipes, daily menu, workouts etc. Jenn (NS) |

Hi All!
I did great on the weekend, ate well and didn't drink. However, I've been sick since Saturday and had to go to Emergency this morning, have a upper respitory infection :( Not much food has gone in me since then. My weight was down though! Last week: 140 This week: 138 :) |

Good Monday morning all! Week 1- 125.2, Week 2- 124.2, Week 3- 123.4 , Week 4- 124.2 , Week 5- 120.2 Today- 123.2 but I'm okay with that because I was weighing more a few days ago, so I'm back on the downward trend, always a good thing! Last week I ate out 3 times and my exercise suffered a bit, so this week I know what to do (and not to do!) B- 1C Honey Nut Cheerios,1%milk, flaxseed (check) L- 1C chili and 15 tortilla rounds, apple (check) Supper- Snacks- Exercise- 800 cals on bike (1643), 20 minutes weights (no...)
Sucks about being sick Jenn, hope you're feeling better soon...yay for the weight loss though! Good luck everyone! |

sw: 130 this week: 128.5 =o) These days I'm happy with anything below 130. Also, I think I missed a week or maybe started late. How come I'm only on week 5? Oh well, haha. Jenn, take care of yourself, and I hope you feel better soon! And great job to everyone! I think we all deserve kudos for our weight losses. Haha, of course I wish it would occur faster, but any progress is good. The warmer weather reminds me of upcoming summer. Hopefully that'll motivate me (all of us) to stay on track. |

Good job with the weight loss everyone!!! Seems like a good week all around, even if you see the scale go up slightly...not to worry, motivates you to do better next week. I'm still so sick. I've had a fever all day and have actually been sweating like a pig...weighed myself again this afternoon and I'm down a POUND!! not a good way to do it. All I've managed to eat in the last 2 days has been: 2 slices of weight watchers bread plain (ick but I was throwing up yesterday) Lipton Cup of soup Banana......I'm starving but feel so sick I can't eat :( |

Yay opa!! Jenn, :S I really feel for you! Sucks to want to eat but can't keep it down. Try to keep up with lots of fluids, even if it's sipping hot chocolate! When I'm sick with a fever, I make sure that I have "sick pop" (ginger ale). Thats the only thing I drink until the fever breaks and I gradually add in toast with butter and other light things on the stomach until I get straightened around back to normal. Hope you're feeling better soon! B- 1C Cheerios, 1%milk, flaxseed (check) L- Ham sandwich on w/w, Supper- I have no idea, it's probably going to be one on the run (white toast with PB, apple with PB, banana) Snacks- ??? (none) Exercise- 800 cals on bike (500) |

I'm having the exact opposite problem. =o( I just binged on almost an entire cup of peanut butter, and that's after eating several granola bars and a slice of pizza. I'm falling back into my binging habits again (I've been doing this for the past week or so) and I've set up an appointment with a nutritionist for next week. Until then, I'm going to start keeping a journal of how I'm feeling about my day, etc.
Good luck to you all, I applaud you! |

Original Post by opalaurora: Hey, it doesn't mean you're falling into hold habits just because you binged, it just means you ate a bunch of food & regret it. Everyone I know does that. I'm not belittling binging or BED, I can totally relate, but the one thing you can do is to be kind to yourself & feel good about yourself regardless! Binging is the normal side of abnormal. So many people do it! Stay healthy & keep doing what you're doing! I would love to see a nutritionist! Let me/us know how your visit goes! |

Hi Carley! Oh yeah, my weight fluctuates during the day, sometimes as much as 4 pounds! I don't count it, though, only my top of the morning weight counts for me! :) Jenn, it sounds like you're on the upward swing again, being able to keep food down is better than you were doing a few days ago! Hang in there! Yesterday was an odd duck of a day for me. I was on the run for most of the day and had very little appetite, I didn't even come close to eating how much I was supposed to. The plus to that is that I'll eat more today! B- 1C Honey Nut Cheerios, 1/2C 1%milk, flaxseed (check) L- Ham sandwich on w/w, salad with 2 Tbsp dressing, apple with PB (check) Supper- 1/2C w/w pasta, 2C mixed veg, pollock, 2 Tbsp sauce (skipped the pasta, more like 3C veg, and chicken, 1 cob of corn) Snacks- granola bar, Exercise- 800 cals on bike (953 so far), and snowshoeing for an hour Going to go pick up sap, check in with you girls later, have a great day everyone! Opa, don't give up, we're all here to support you as much as possible! You can do it! :) |

Thank you so much for the support! (Sorry, I have no idea how to message) You're right, maybe staying on this forum will help. I'll definitely be reading everyone's posts, even if I don't post myself. I'm feeling much better and more optimistic today. I'm looking forward to kicking my bad habits! I've also made a few new rules for myself: and snowshoeing! now that's something I've never done. gosh, is it still snowy there? |

Yay! That's the spirit! There's hardly any snow in the city, but I live in the country, and there's easily 3 feet of snow! I'm heading out again right now, actually! Gotta go boil down some sap which is about a 4 acre walk away from the house. |

Wow, it's quiet around here lately! Hope everyone's doing good! B- 1C Honey Nut Cheerios, 1/2C 1%milk, flaxseed (check) L- Tuna on w/w, moccaccino bar, rice crackers (check) Supper- not entirely sure, we're going out to eat, so probably chicken yakisoba (yumm, check) Snacks- Exercise- 500 cals on bike (400) I was doing really well. Keyword was. Went into Walmart, stared at those Ripples, and said nope, if I get them I'll eat them. Picked up a pizza on the way home, had 1 slice which was fine. Had to stop at Walmart again for a minute, and this time gave into temptation. Came home and had another piece of pizza and tooooo many chips...thank goodness for tomorrows... |

Welcome Carley!! Great to have new people joining! Opa, don't worry, we all binge once and awhile and although we feel guilty it's not the end of the world (even though it seems to be at the time) just try and hang in there and we'll be here for you for support! Steph, you are so good at keeping up with the posting, I love seeing what you eat everyday lol. I wish I could exercise as much as you do! I think maybe I need to get a bike or elliptical or something for when I watch tv. Do you think the more expensive the equipment the better? We are trying to be very saving right now for the wedding and for a new house so not a lot of money to spare but thought maybe I could get something on sale. I'm still very ill. Home again, tried to go into work yesterday but they sent me home! lol. For the best, I wasn't well enough to be there but felt guilty as I'm on salary hehe. Oh well...I have a great boss and great co-workers, they are just like family. I'm hoping to start feeling better soon...I keep starting to feel better and then bam I'm back on my butt! The weather here has been BEAUTIFUL...unfortunately I haven't been able to take advantage of it...but soon enough. I'm down to 134lbs this morning, have been drinking lots of fluids and trying to eat but not keeping much down. I ate 1/2 banana, 1/2 yogurt, a popsicle, some grapes and some toast yesterday. Today I haven't eaten anything, but am going to try and have some soup in a bit. Hope everyone is doing well, and I'll be back on track soon! Take care :) |

WTG Carley and Jenn! Mind you Jenn, not the best way to lose it :P Glad to hear that you're coming around and feeling a bit better! I got my bike and an elliptical from Value Village Jenn, so exercise equipment need not be expensive! (they were $25 each! a really great investment) You can also check out kijiji.ca for good deals on used equipment. Woohoo for maintenance days- mine was yesterday, I think I had about 1900 calories! Back to business today though! |

Value Village, I could almost break into prose, I love that place so much. Don't ask me how (no really...don't) but last night we spent $87 there. How on earth do you spend that much on used clothes?? And if that wasn't bad enough, we don't have a lot to show for it! lol The good news is that my daughter is set for t shirts for this summer. The bad news is after spending so much (on mostly things we didn't need) I'll be writing in my planner that I can't go to V.V. for a whole month. Love kijiji too, have bought (and sold) lots of different stuff there. Check out Yahoo groups as well Jenn, for example Freecycle- people can give stuff and get stuff and its all free. Just enter in your city name and a key word like classifieds to find out what sites are in your area! I've never seen Biggest Loser, I don't watch much TV as I only have "country cable" (3 channels that I only get reception on sometimes- those darn bunny ears have to be positioned just right! lol) Carley, what are "lil smokies"? I've never heard of them! |
