Chit-Chat is fine. I hope we can all get to know one another and truly give encouragement to one another. If you have any suggestions or comments about the club, please email me and let me know.
Just be sure your weigh ins are in bold so that I won't miss any! If you are weighing in at home on a day other than Friday, please wait until Friday to post your week's weigh in so that I don't miss any.
There may be changes, new challenges, new games, etc. as time goes by. I will always make announcements on this thread header and in a post here, so that it will be noticed, hopefully. :-)Members - You must weigh in at least once a month to remain on the member list. If you are going on vacation or there is some reason you will not be able to weigh in for over one month, please email me and let me know.
The Member List shows your starting/current/goal weights the followed by how far you are from your goal. I've broken the list into categories by weight to lose before you reach your goal. Once you reach your goal, you will be moved to the Maintenance area of the list and you may then weigh in as often or little as you'd like, just please try to keep it on Fridays.

Ugh!!!! I gained 1.8 lbs. I knew last week was too good to be true! lol
Any suggestions on what to eat for lunches at work? I'm so bad at figuring out what to have for lunch. The worse part is i'm picky so i don't like a lot of things. I have salad's but after a while i get sick of them. I've tried the lean cuisine meal thingy and got sick of those real fast. Any ideas????

How did I choose my goal weight??
According to calculations somewhere on this site, I should weigh 102--HA! While I weighed 90lbs when I graduated from high school, it's been a long time since I've been anywhere near that number (try 1/2 of my life).
I have many small goals--a bet that I can lose another 13 lbs by March 1 (my sweetie has to come and sing with me all weekend in Mass. if I do) and I'd like to get down to 140 lb by the beginning of June -- my niece is gettting married & I'd like to be able to buy a new dress that fits (that's part of another bet--I get my choice of a real dress from wherevever I want, not just Salvation Army if I get to 140!! by June 1). And if I can do that, 120 should be doable--no time line on that one..... I just turned down a Valentine's invite to my favorite restaurant
, because I know I'd pig out and regret it after.....anyway---

No change! I've been up and down all week, and then landed right where I was. Sigh.
My goal is 125-30, in that I will go down to 125, and then try to get a good fat/muscle balance, and end up somewhere between 125 and 130.
I chose my goal because the one time in my adult life that my weight was stable, and I looked pretty good, I was in the 120s. I was not in shape at that time, though, and I'm sure my fat/muscle ratio was pretty bad. So we'll see where I end up.

So I went up one pound... but I take solace in the fact that it could have been more, considering it's TTOM! It's soo hard because I feel like I want to eat everything in sight, even though I'm not hungry.

Sounds like some of the rest of you are in the same boat as me - two steps forward, one step back? I think it's being SO close that's the problem for me. Last week I was (slightly) under 125 for the first time in ages, this week I felt like I didn't have to worry about what I was eating. Yeah, it could be worse but I was really hoping that after Christmas/New Year's it would be about a month before I was getting back to being skinny-ish, and while I'm not gaining really significant amounts of weight I'm not maintaining even my baby-step losses. :( Hopefully the next two weeks will be better - I'm doing a Valentine's Day challenge, so it might be the motivation that works for now, and then maybe I can find new motivation after Feb 14.

I was bad & didn't really keep track of a biggest loser for the month (or week), but we're all losers & proud of it!
My weigh in on 2/1 was 197, which means no gain/no loss.
Question of the Week
What is keeping you going strong? Health reasons, wanting to fit in that little black dress, or something else?
For my answer of the QotW...
It's really a bit of everything. I don't want to have to deal with any of the health complications that run in my family that can be prevented by having a healthy diet/weight. I also want to feel good in whatever I'm wearing. I'd also like to have a baby in the next 5 years, and I want to be in good health when that baby comes. I want to teach my family good eating habits.
Fitting in my jeans! :p

QOTW ~ What is my motivation for losing weight?
The only reason I want to lose weight is to be healthy. I want to have a BMI under 25 so I can live longer. I've alright went from Class III obese to Class II obese, so I'm getting there!! Whatever other little things that come along with being healthy is great ![]()

So Im excited to see that number...the last time I saw that bout 3 years ago when i was basically starving myself from taking a diet pill. I eat better and all the time it seems like and although it has been a very very slow progress, it is progress and I know that it will stay off and be more easily maintained.
How much exercised is everyone getting a week? and what type?
