Even with a reduction, I still think youre training sounds heavy enough even lightened that those carbs for energy are still going to be much needed particularly with how you responded. Granted we have typically been graduating into carbs but SB is about good carbs and it might not be an option for you to keep up with your schedule without diving into phase2. Know that you are welcome whatever you choose to do even if SB wont accompany your training and you go another route.
REVIEWER: Agatston devotes a few pages to this, recommending at least 20 minutes per day of cardio activity. He also recommends weight training - particularly for women - not only for it's metabolism-boosting assistance, but also for building strong bones. But make no mistake - this is a diet book, and the emphasis on exercise is small.
SBD Believer: Hi Christina, I have always been a runner too, and like you, found it difficult to run when I first started SBD. However - all of the strange feelings you experience in Phase I pass! Stick to it! It really does get better after awhile - your body just needs time to adjust to this new way of eating. The thirstiness is also something I experienced and it too went away.
bell-bell: And even on the days when I literally stuffd myself with fish and vegetables and cheese I felt sick and weak. I certainly couldn't do any exercise.
Jen, Thursday is the day! Sorry to hear about your brother - I can imagine how frustrating it is to be on the sidelines. I can see how concerned you are. The college thing is a fear I have my daughter who has low discipline with school work. ((HUGS)) to you -
Sarah - are you sure it was dallas cuz I didnt see you ;P. Great on getting your exercise and food on track, your really have that down. I always tend to drag on which is why I dread a day off (then another day and another..).
Skyblue, sounds a mini treat of heaven. :D thanks for the heads up - will check with my local Sam's (I shouldnt be this desperate LOL). Rachael, your back and now probably settling back in. Your dau so sweet keeping you 'company' on your drive home. Hope you took pics!
Busy day - never gone that long so tons of posting *phew*
In other news, I had homeade hot'n'sour soup with kung pao chicken stir-fry for dinner tonight. It was heavenly. This tastes nothing like a diet!
Oh, and I forgot: when I went into work on monday, my usual bouncer cocked his head at me and said, "this may sound weird but.. your neck looks skinnier!" I've already dropped 5 lbs.
where is everyone today??
Sarah, hope your coyote problem is going to be sorted out!!
Healthy, clean eating is going well so far!! Am really craving sugar and chocolate today though. Have eated 2 nectarines to combat the cravings!! Trying really hard not to eat any processed foods this week - to give the body a bit of a break!
So how is everyone else doing??
the week is halfway through yay! Thanks for the support with the whole brother thing. Things seems to be better now and he has a plan to go to a new school so i feel a bit releived.
Sarah i cant believe you have a coyote in your yard thats so scary! cant you call the police or something. haha i guess thats just weird to me because im from NY but wow thats scary! Also i feel your doughnut pain. my boyfriend and i went to a place to eat the other night that makes homeade dougnuts. i just sniffed it a bit before he ate it lol he thought it was weird but whatever works lolol
viotle can you share your hot n sour and kung pow chicken recipies! that sounds so yummy and i am running low on things to make!
oh and the chocolate recapie try addding the cool whip..it makes it into some kinda of ice cream like pudding...its whats been getting my through my carb free days lol..
last night i received a victorias secret swimsuit catalog. um its only january!! I hung a picture of one of the girls on my refrigerator to remind myself why i dont want to cheat. hopefully bye jun i can buy that suit. its a long shot but well see!
Racheal, do those drops 'dry' or stay moist like the ricotta? Do you refridgerate or bake at all? Boy they got my attention :D. Same with fruit - Ive really come to appreciate sweetness, and fruit at night as an evening night is just when I seek sweet treat.
Drink up sarah for that sodium - always a funny thought when your retaining water but flush it out. I know the sweetness thing Gina - specifically chocolate Ive found as my shortcoming for a craving.
Off to doctor for dau's throat. Funny how I would fake being sick to stay out of school but dau never has that I know of. When your childs sleeping all day, its obvious.
Last night Alice had a long court appearance so didnt come to walk. I procrastinated til it was too dark. I had thought I can walk doughtnuts in the house (Ive a circular walk path through my house) but more procastination. Woke up 5am and had an email from Alice telling me to walk laps inside. Not asking if I had but knowing I hadnt. Guess she knew with all my procastination prior until she started walking with me that she just knew. So glad I did, especially with the time shes devouted to me doing it.

1/8 tsp pepper

And tonight for din, I had Meatloaf w/ mashed cauliflower.
Delicious Meatloaf (ph1 minus red wine; 8 servings)
(I'm still in Phase 1; instead of red wine, I used extra water, a little SBD Italian Dressing, and some basalmic vinegar)
1 can (6 oz.) no-salt added tomato paste
1/2 cup dry red wine
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. minced garlic
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1/4 tsp. salt
16 oz. ground turkey breast
1/4 cup shredded zucchini
1/4 cup cholesterol-free egg substitute or 2 egg whites
*Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine tomato paste, wine, water, garlic, basil, oregano and salt in small saucepan. Bring to boil; reduce heat to low. Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes. Set aside.
*Combine turkey, zucchini, egg substitute and 1/2 cup reserved tomato mixture in large bowl. Mix well. Shape into loaf; place into ungreased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.
*Bake 45 minutes. Discard any drippings. Pour 1/2 cup remaining tomato mixture over top of loaf. Bake an additional 15 minutes. Place on serving platter. Cool 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish as desired.

Thanks for the recipes violet - the ingredients sound delish! Thanks also Rachael for the scoop on the drops. Always liked the ricotta desserts so big interest.
Finally, got some multivitamins. While I was a Walmart equivilant of SF Metamucil. I noticed two different types, one which said isnt intended for use over a week without the suggestion of seeing a doctor. The other I got though is cool for daily use. Ive not had much concern with my delayed bathroom schedule but Im thinking better not to go a few days in between.
Will check back in with weigh in results.
Morning Ladies-
Freezing over here and they call it the Sunny SouthEast....not really. Snow in the Comeragh Mts. yesterday, it was a pretty sight, but then again the wind and rain came pelting down...no let me rephrase, the freezing rain with wind.
Well today in at 186, I will be glad to get back into the 170's...I pray soon!
Hope everyone else is doing well!
