| Ok, there seems to be a mysterious condition going around that is causing sabotage to our eating. I know I'm not alone here when I admit that my eating this past little while leaves a lot to be desired, causing slight weight gain after such hard work to lose it. I also know, that I am the same person who was practically flawless in my eating for like almost 90 days straight, so I know I can get ahold of this - who's with me?? There is no deadline for sign-ups, anyone can join at any time!! All you have to do is check in once a week (at least) & let us know how you're doing. If/when you "cheat", simply let us know & I will restart your start date. A cheat is defined as whatever a cheat would mean to you personally, whether it be going over your calories, bingeing, not eating enough, too many treats, etc. We all know when we've cheated, so just be honest with yourself Let's be honest with each other & keep each other eating clean k? The PRIZE to the winner? Well that's easy - weight loss!!!!!!!!! (or maintenance for those at that stage!) Let's do this! Dee ************************************************ Here's the list of all signed up & the new rules: (let me know if I missed you) If you lose your mind & cheat, just let me know. Then you can re-start from the next day. I'll simply unbold your name, along with updating your new start date. After being clean for a week after a re-start, I'll re-bold your name. So you always have a chance to feel like you are succeeding. Also, if you just don't feel like you want to partake in the challenge anymore, can you let me know so I can remove your name from the list? Thanks!! Anyone not checking in for one week (December 25 - December 31) will be removed from the challenge. Good luck all! People's names in bold have been going the longest or have not restarted for at least a week - way to go!!!!!!!!

forumla1babe & katiezubke- welcome. I don't need any info. Just to let us know how you're doing & if & when you cheat. I'll put your start dates beside your names and if/when you cheat, I reset the date to the next day. Just be honest with yourself & do your best to eat only what you are "allowed" to eat. Goodl uck to you both!

| I want to be part of this challenge. My name is Michele, 24, female. 5'7" 141 lbs. Goal 130 lbs. I definitely slip and eat too much sometimes especially on the weekends. Clean eating challenge sounds great to me! | ||

| Okay... this morning was a challenge... chocolate donuts:) But I resisted the challenge and thought abouth clean eating...why does fat have to taste so goooood? However I do keep thinking about how great it will feel to be healthy and slim. I just keep thinking... make better food choices... exercise more:! | ||

| This has been a great few days. I'm so glad this is here. I'm like you Dee, I like to postpone my treat as long as possible. This challenge has made me stop and think more often instead of just unconsiously eating. I HOPE EVEYONE HAS A GREAT WEEKEND---don't make it a time to fail, make it a time to treat your body like a temple. | ||

| Clean as a whistle! Even though I just keep gaining and gaining, I'm still holding my head high. 5 days continual gain, I'm gunna go nuts if it doesn't change soon. But I'm right on track, not discouraged. I'm here to fight this battle! | ||

ok - going into the weekend remember: "Diamonds are only lumps of coal that stuck to their jobs" BC Forbes, Forbes Magazine. Choose each day to be diamond!
Day 4 came out clean, even though that lone beer called my name from the fridge ^_^. (I swear it spoke to me!) Day 5 going well too, even though it's Friday, and I usually say "oh it's Friday, I can have (fill in blank)". Thank goodness for this challenge! I have a question: What would cause my pants to be way tight, even though I went down two pounds and have been "clean" since Monday? I would blame it on salt from eating out Tuesday, but wouldn't that be retaining water, which would then translate into going up a pound or two? My weight didn't change, but until about an hour ago, I felt like a sausage! Just curious - was discouraging there for a bit. |

| Thanks for the motivation - I need it going into the weekend. It's not only my toughest time, but we are throwing a Cinco de Mayo party on Saturday. I've told the hubby that I'm doing a taco salad (without the deep fried bowl) instead of chimi changas because they are deep fried. I'll make sure we have fresh fruit as well and we should be all set. But, Sunday is my anniversary and we are going out. That will be one "free" cheat day. Good luck this weekend to everyone! | ||

Ok, all!!! Day 5 for me today!! I'm lovin this, although since day 2 the scale has not moved at all ( up or down ) I guess that's a good thing right?
Should be another perfect day today. & personally, I try to think of the weekend days as just another day. NOt anything special or different. Maybe that would help the mindset a bit to keep eating clean. Another good idea for those that workout, is to make your rest day from workout in the middle of the week instead of the weekend. That way your mind is on working out & eating good even on the weekend. Glad to see new people - welcome!! I've added your names already. & modified the couple who are starting over. ---------------------------------------------------- mamabear32059 - way to resist cheesecake. That stuff is super high in cals, so make sure it's a teeny piece you budget for ! good job!! lisalcd17- a couple ideas: get the junk food (or the food you like to over eat on) out of the house. Or do like me, give it to your husband/boyfriend/kids to hide it for you & only give you one a day. Chew gum when you are craving, or better yet, every time you crave, have a sip or two of water. Those are just a few ideas. Oh you could also do some jumping jacks if you are craving. Just something to get your mind off of it. lrschwarze- good luck this weekend. I think the weekend s are hard for everyone. You can do it! I want a good report on Sunday night from you, k?? helenmikolaichik- it's ok, now you have to try & beat one day, k? you can do this!!!!!!! The more good choices we make, the easier it becomes. Don't forget to allow youself somethign you really like, every day, but just a bit, maybe 100 cals of it or soemthing. Just budget it in, and that helps big-time! ndodson - I reset your date to today. You can start over if you like, unless you want to have your name rmoved, just let me know, k? gvanhecke - resisting chocolate anything is super!! good for you! & yes, why does fat & sugar have to taste so good!! You have a great mindset, carry that with you throught the weekend. delinah - ya, yesterday was a good thing I had not had my treat yet. Cuz when my hubby broke out the box of mini charleston chews & I had 2 (for 30 cals), I really wanted more. So I was able to substitute having 10 of those instead of my granola bar I was gonna have as my treat. Ahhh, the options hey? I kept thinking of all of you too, as I was strongly debating having the chews and my granola bar! But I chose right!!! x17star17x - you're a rock girl! You inspire me. You didn't gain much right?? just fraction of a lb, so that will be gone soon! You'll go down, I know it! k8ly - thanks for the great analogy. & way to resist the call of the beer! That "crap" is loaded with so many cals! I can't believe it! I think the tight pants could just be water. I don't think you necessarily have to go up when you have water weight. I know for me, I can see water weight in my abdomen area quite clearly, but the scale doesn't always say I"m up. Maybe it's the heat too. I know when I'm hotter (like b4 we had central air) i get swollen. Just some ideas ;) dee4less - way to plan ahead. I think the boys will still love the food you're choosing to make. You'll do just fine. Again, Happy Anniversary, and have a nice "cheat meal"!! pinthin- way to keep clean! Thanks for posting & letting us know! Ok Team! this is our first weekend on the challenge. We can do this, let's not drop like flies k??? Remember each other this weekend as we reach for the extra donut, muffin, or hot dog!!! Let's succeed!!!!!!!!! Dee |
