130/120 Club?
I'm looking for a 130/120 club, but I don't see any topics started.

Okay so I have a question:
They say you need to eat at least 1200 calories per day so that your body doesn't store away those calories because it is in survival mode. How does excercising play into this? If I eat say 1400 calories but burn 800 then I am only at 600 calories so is this okay or do I need to eat more.
So far I haven't really lost any weight, and with spring break just 2 weeks away this is sort of disconcerning. I have been hovering around 134 although I try to eat around 1500 calories a day and work out 5-6 days a week and two of those days I work out twice a day. I have definitly noticed I have gotten more toned, which is great because spandex work out pants are no longer the enemy, but I feel like I should ideally be at like 125. Any advice. Oh yeah, I am in college so I am sure the beer consumption Wed-Sat is not helping.

Starrose: I looked up your stats - your are 5'2 right? I don't have the answer either, but the 1200 cal is a general guideline. It also depends on what kinds of cal. you consume. Try staying in the A-B group. I am having a very hard time losing also, but it is coming off slowly (very slowly). And I am a lot older than you are. Maybe you expect too much too soon. In my opinion 5-6 times a week might be too much and your body is storing. Personally, I have to stay in the 1000 cal range to lose, but then I work out only 3 times a week. Don't starve yourself. And give yourself a little time. Best of luck. Liz
Does anyone know what I should have down for my activity level. When I first started I was seditary. I work as a receptionist and am up and down helping people all day. I try to work out for at least 1/2 hour to hour in the morning. Walk on my lunch break and get a 1/2 hour to hour of exercise in the evening. I don't know what to change it to. Can someone please help?

I work out 6 days a week. I use the elliptical for 45 minutes and then I use free weights and do squats for about 20 min. On days when it is warm enough to get outside, I inline skate for an hour pushing a 50lbs jogging stroller (daughter inside stroller). I usually eat anywhere between 1200 to 1400 calories. It is coming off slowly, but I do notice the changes in my body which is great.
130.6 :( And I am sitting at work on Valentine's day, and my students keep bringing in cupcakes, krispy kreme donuts (heart shaped with icing and sprinkles...etc) My husband gave me a HUGE box of chocolates... yikes.

I hear you on the spring break fears... no routine, less care to go to the gym, more yummy snack food, parties and drinking!!! I am trying to work out a plan, the problem will be sticking to it. But the idea is to use the gym as an excuse to get up early (in other words motivate me to get up before 1PM)... Also, If I push myself a little harder on those days at the gym, I can worry less if I slip up. Although once I make it to the gym I don't think I will want to ruin my work out with overdoing it on the parties and junk food.
Thats what Im hopeing for anyway... we shall see.

Hello everyone... Today i came in at 142... i hope i dont gain some weight today i've have a bit of chocolate... i have such a sweet tooth and there is chocolate evertwhere today!
hey im 126 right now. but i just Binged cuz its Valentines day and I ate my nice 1400 calories by dinner and then DESSERT ughhh i had baked apples with cool whip (oh it was lite whoppee-not) than like 4 choclate covered strawberries, 5 sugar cookies, 1 choclate chip cookie, 2 big bowls of reeses's puffs and then 1 spoonful of choclate chip cookie dough, bag of dark choclate M&M's and an ounce of milk choclate ughhh im not going to even attempt to add that up.

hey, I spent all day yesterday shovelling snow and snow shoeing so I totally forgot about the weigh in! I have been eating chocolate and other wonderful foods all week (its that time of the month for me also) so I've gain weight.
