| Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...
I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey. Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen.... Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide. Good morning and have a great day all! |

hey everyone! I'm down to 156.4 so I've lost about 5 lbs this week!!!!! The only bad thing is I just got a scale and it measured my body fat at a whopping 40%!!!!!!! So I plan on starting strenght training today to combat that number.
Everyone stay strong!!!!!! If we just keep on doing the right thing we WILL see great results. |

Tara I bike and am considering getting the clips. A friend of mine firmly believes they will assist in the spinning process, so I would like to give them a try. I road bike with a mountain bike, so I could use all the help I can get!
Thanks for asking about the 1400 cals. I've allowed myself 1700, knowing I'll need the extra 3-400 cals to get me through my daily workout. That being said, I'm doing well. Thanks for asking! Enjoy your day! |

| So on monday I was 153, and now that I'm home I'm tempted to weigh myself every day...but I'm trying to keep it to every other day. well today I stepped on the scale first thing this morning and it said 155. I was NOT happy and grumpily went to get dressed. When I went back into the bathroom I decided to get back on the scale, you see, I have a battery powered scale that seems to change his mind quite often, when I see a number I like, I get on and off the scale several time to make sure the number is "for real", so how come I only tried once with a number I didn't like? Well after a second try on the scale it read 152.5, I got on and off several times after that, and it remained 152.5. Now I'm going to remember to double-check my weight before it puts me in a bad mood for the day.... haha | ||

| i met with a dietician today and we discussed how i should be eating in order to loose weight. i weight 152 am 5'7 and want to weigh 140. I am going to TRY to eat 1500 calories a day. Its amazing to know how much you eat when you don't count. i could easily add 300-400 extra cals by munching.. does anyone else do this? it sucks!!! anyways i met my 1500 goal today and may even have a couple hundred to spare. hope everyone's week is going well. | ||

grande1, we are in the same boat! Same height, weight, and goal. It's definitely shocking to realize how much you intake with only 1500 calories....I could probably add 1000 cals just by munching! :)
I got a few replies to my weeping story about not being motivated to go to the gym before I go to work. Thing is, I'm up at 0530 every morning to get ready and I have to leave by 0645. I get an hour for lunch and I'm home by 1700 every night. By that time, I just want to cook some dinner and spend time with my hubby. I KNOW that I have to run (I'm a former Marine, so believe me, I know how important it is to PT all the time). I'm just so dang tired! And running on the treadmill doesn't cut it, either...If I'm going to run, I'm going to run outside. It's 1000 times better. I don't mind if it rains, either, but when it rains here, most of the time it's near typhoon. Literally. So that's my dilemma. |

Hey Bondgirl, don't worry I completely understand. Maybe you and your hubby could go for evening walks. I know its not running but every little bit helps plus its a nice time to talk and catch up. Me and my BF love to take 1-1.5 hour walks as our "dates".
I am dreading tomorrow's weigh in. I have been doing pretty good this week but I am still combating the damage I did over the weekend. Gull Durn weekends. Okay this weekend for sure I am going to practice some self control. No fast food!!!!! Thats the killer right there. As for everyone else awesome job on losing this week and welcome new comer's. For your sake I hope you stay is short....I think mine may be a bit longer than originally thought!!!! lol |

ok, here is a GRREAT new snack I discovered....
take two cups of skim milk, and a ten oz. bag of (thawed) frozen berries, and three tablespoons of Equal. Mix it all up in a blender, pour into a shallow container, and freeze for an hour. Then scoop it back into the blender, blend it up again, and pour back into the container to re-freeze for another hour. Top with fat free cool whip if you want! This is my new ice cream replacement :-) And it's verry low in calories, I think around 100 for a cup, and the berries are just great for you. Yesterday I made some blueberry and some raspberry, and I layered the flavors in cups once they were frozen, then today I bought a bag of mixed berries and I think thats my new favortie flavor. You don't need the Equal, but I think it sweetens it up just enough. Enjoyyyy |

Hello! I just saw this thread, can I join in? I'm 5'2", female, 22 years old. I started on CC at 154.5 on May 12th, and am now at 152. I am worried that I am losing too fast :(. I am eating 1900 cals per day, which I think is very sufficient. I'm walking a few miles just about every other day. It's normal to lose a little more the first week right? Well, let's hope this weight stays off! :)
Stormsrun, my scale is EXACTLY the same way! How frustrating! I just ordered a new one off Amazon, so hopefully it will work better. My scale is just not trustworthy enough :). |

Welcome someday
Its perfectly normal to lose more in the first few weeks even. Especially if you have a lot to lose. Just keep at it and it will level out. Ack I weight in this morning at 153 up 2 lbs from last week. I wasn't all that bad either. I know it may be a little water weight as I went crazy with the salt this week and maybe a little muscle cause I upped by weights too but I hate seeing that scale go up. I am sure as hell bound and determined to be good this weekend. Easy on the alcohol and some running ought to do the trick. Noting like a nice little increase in weight to kick me into high gear!!!! Now back to my organic veggie burrito....yum!!! |

| Hello everyone! I wish I had a positive post today but I don't. I am very upset about my weight and body today. I barely have any clothes that fit me anymore and I look horrible all the time. I feel flabby for the first time in three years. I am not loosing at all and I have been eating very well lately. For the past month I have been at an average of 1200-1400 calories a day. I gave up high fat concent foods like dunkin donuts bagel sandwiches (which I used to eat twice a week). My fat grams are no higher than 30-38 grams per day now. They used to be way higher. In conclusion, I almost feel like I want to give up. Why am I killing myself to eat healthy if the weight is not coming off at all?????????????? It is super fusterating! Today I did not want the usual raisin bran or kashi cereal with skim milk and after getting on the scale and seeing 153 again I went to the store and bought a breakfast sandwich that had 20 grams of fat. (now I feel guilty!) I figured I deprive myself all the time and no weight comes off so why not eat what I want for breakfast today? I want to see results! I log on here and I am jealous beyond belief sometimes when I see, "I lost a pound" or "I am getting closer to my goal". I am happy for you guys but I want to be the one saying that too. Maybe this site is getting me even more obsessed about my weight. I just don't know. How do I not let my weight consume my life when it is the main thing that is making me depressed?????? I guess that's it for now. Thanks for hearing my complaints. | ||

| tara, try changing your mindset. Eat well and exercise because it is great for you! Check out the Body For Life website and book. I have been on it for almost 3 weeks and have lost about 6 pounds after being stuck at 156 or higher for YEARS! (topped out at 163, and am now 151 with TTOTM) I lost the first 6 just counting calories for about 6 months! How is your water intake? That is really key for me! 100 oz's per day! Please dont be discouraged, you have already started to form the good habits!!! And bikini season is coming!!!!!! | ||

| Thank you Carie87. I did follow body for life several years ago and I still have the book. I may check it out again. I drink a lot of water. About 2-2.5 liters a day. When I lost a lot of weight before I was drinking 3 liters min. a day. I need to get back to that! I made a call today to my former personal trainer. He is amazing. I'm hoping I can buy a program from him. And get on the right track with my workouts. | ||
