140/130 club timbergrove

Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's.  We can all use support.  Today I am focusing on all the food groups.  Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30.  A Super long day.  I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today.

hmmmm   THIS is interesting....

AIRBORNE - calories 5, not tooo bad..   fat 0, again not bad,
SODIUM - 230 MG  (carbs, sugars, protein 0)

so if i take this every 3 hours as suggested (which i am bad about doing but i did do 3 or 4 of them yesterday)  that means from 6am - 10 pm i would take 6 of them..  which means 1380 mg of sodium just trying not to be sick.. ugh....  (so yesterday i got 690 - 920 mg of sodium more then i thought i had)... OH MY...

unicat, i only take 3 a day, despite what it recommends.  that is really surprising though!!

LOL i know, i was totally shocked...  but i really dont wanna get sick.. so gonna try to get in plenty of water, and hope any water weight (which may be why i hit 143 this morning??) goes away quickly...

unicat - my daughter lives on Airborne, she teaches in an elementary school and catches everything..... she swears by it.

lily - glad you took everyone's advice, all you need to worry about is how you feel and the he** with your friend.  Thats a shame she could not be more supportive.

Morgan - I tried your protein drink tonight, oh my!!!!!   so good!!!! my stepson even tried it and couldn't believe it.  He is always trying the EAS protein and says it taste like crap.  He really like this.

I caught up on posts and it sounds like everyone is doing so awesome! Keep up the great work guys! It seems like everyone has something good to say!!

lily... just hang in there, everything will come out good in the end. As we all know, great relationships take teamwork and adjusting so maybe once she accepts your new healthy lifestyle it will be easier! :)

I'm STILL at 140.... I'm determined to start some good cardio though b/c I've only been doing 1 cardio dvd for a month 2 times a week and it's a beginner level *sheepish grin* So I really need to step it up a notch and I think I'll just blow right through this plateu! I'm going to fitworks tomorrow morning to get a trial membership and hopefully jump in a class, too. I even asked my b/f what his advice was on these last 5 ish lbs and he said I need some "extreme cardio". So I'm going to try and do that, b/c I actually love getting my heart rate up, and then continue with my weight regimen right now cuz I'm starting to see little results from it! :) Hopefully once my trial ends the weather will be nice and I can start biking to work 3x a week... Even if I get a membership, I can then go to some classes on the weekends!

again, keep up the great work everybody! I'm so proud of what everyone is accomplishing! Avoiding samples, trying to avoid fast food, making good choices at restaurants, getting in extra exercise, exercising even when we don't really feel like it! :) So proud!!

lily--glad that you're feeling better! way to stay on track with everything! have fun at the gym, too!

brigitte--good job at sam's! i used to love goign to sam's on sundays for shopping with my parents cuz they'd always have tons of samples and we went right after church so it was my lunch :) let us know how the hairstyling goes! i had that back fat going on too--but mine's pretty much gone now. it was soooo awful--i hated it.  but way to get your vindication--i love it!

mcb--good job at don pablo's. i don't know the restaurant, so can't help you out though. sorry :(

vicki--so glad you enjoyed the protein drink :) plus it has like, 1-2 servings of fruit in it.

stacey--hope the gym works out! my trainer recommended that i seriously intensify my cardio when my weight loss started slowing down around 145. i remember, when i first started strength training during study abroad (like...first time i'd ever done it in my life), i used to flex my biceps in front of the mirror afterwards all the time :) i know you'll just crash through that plateau :) good luck!

i'm in a pretty crappy mood.  if you read my journal, you know i'm mad at my boss, and now that job i was going to get at my dad's office is a no-go (already have 2 applicants for the fulltime position).  hopefully chicago will be fun, although at this point, i'd almost rather just hang around and do nothing with my b/f.  oh well.  it'll be fun--i'll have fun shopping with my mom.  maybe i can play up the "i'm having a really crappy time right now" card and she'll buy me stuff :) may be a teeny bit evil, but hey :) i had a really bad breakup about a year and a half ago, and she took me shopping afterwards--it actually did help :) of course, there's always a new gym and hot tubs to look forward to! :)

Morgan - amazing how shopping will do that, especially when someone else is buying.  Funny to read your post, you so sound like my daughter.  We go shopping, she is like I can't buy anything, I feel guilty for buying something, I end up buying her stuff.  OH WELL!!!!  You will have fun in Chicago.

morgan - yeah i have hated that back fat for forever, now with it going away i wont feel soooo self conscious about maybe wearing a bikini someday here in hawaii :)  and my kids love the samples at sams lol..  the ones back on the mainland ALWAYS had cookie samples in the bakery department, for some reason the one here doesnt :(  bummer about the job at your dads office :(  but have fun shopping with your mom i am sure she will buy ya stuff lol..  and you will enjoy chicago :)

so, still 143 this morning :(  it better all be water weight from the airborne...  am going to continue taking it for a few days, til monday morning i think, and hope it drops off quickly after that...  but hey my trend line is catching up, its at like 143.30 this morning :)

thanks for all the responses everyone! I think I changed my idea for which class to do. I'm thinking about going and checking the place out in the morning, maybe get on the treadmill, ellipitcal and such to try things out, try and get a good workout in. Then in the afternoon there is a beginners spinning class that I may want to investigate! But I'll let you all know Monday how everything went!

my trend line has gone up a little... oops! Hopefully with my new cardio plans it'll move down!

srd, i think pumping up the cardio is totally the right idea!  good luck! :)  i left a note in your journal re: trial memberships ... i'm an expert in that arena! ;)

mcboddy - sounds like you did GREAT!  i don't know that resaurant either, but you sound like you have it down! :)

kiigan, that blows about the job situation!!  maybe you can find something else temporary??  chicago should be really fun AND i'm sure your mom will take you shopping and buy you stuff, that's what moms are for, right? ;)  i think you should check out the gym in the morning, shop all day, hot tub at night ... sounds like a great life to me! :D

i went up to 142.5 today. :(  it's 'cause i ate way too much yesterday.  oh well, shi* happens.

i went on a hike yesterday and saw a cool snake, it was huge!  it was black with white splotches.  it was pretty cool, although i stood back quite a bit to watch him. :)

Srd- good plan to break the plateau!  and 140 is still a good # anyway :) I do recommend a gym membership if you're looking to up your cardio tho.. Mine has made it so much easier.  I pay 24/month and get access to all locations in my state. There are classes, too (free) but I havent really taken them (i took cardio kickboxing one Sat and said never again.. I was gasping for air by the half hr mark lol) Also, I saw the google map thing on Myspace.. too funny! I didnt realize it took 30 days though haha.. there's some cardio for ya :-p

kiigan-sorry to hear about the job thing.  But retail therapy does help (especially if someone else is paying lol!)  Besides, you've had this trip planned.. ENJOY it and pamper yourself (hottub, new clothes, new surroundings woooo hooooooo!!!! Im jealous!).. save the stress for when you get home :)

unicat-No worries about 143.. you know why it hasnt gone down so you're not 'stuck' or anything.. just keep up all the great work you've been doing!  It will def pay off even more :)

Teen-Good attitude about yesterday. sh*t does happen.  And then we move on! Great job getting back on track and staying positive.  Also, the hike sounds like fun!  I'm glad you kept your distance from the snake lol but Im sure it was cool to see, nonetheless!

Today's been a pretty good day so far though it's early and promising to be a slow day at work (most Fridays are).  I kept today as my official weigh in though.. and was please/surprised (and questioning..) the number (138.5). Last night when I snuck on the scale just to peak, I was still at 140 so somehow I went down 1.5 lbs overnight.. I'm not knocking it though lol.  Ill verify on my normal scale tomorrow a.m but I'm counting it.  I was thrilled just to see the #.

Well should start my work but will be around.. hope everyone's having a great day and looking forward to healthy weekends :-)

good job lily! i hope to be at that number with you soon! :) I usually lose 1.5-2lbs overnight. I've tried to stop weighing in at night though... It's too frustrating to look at even though I know how much I lose overnight!

This will probably be my last post for the day! Have a good weekend everyone! I'll let you know how my gym trial goes this weekend!!
