Clean Eating Challenge deejlb

Ok, there seems to be a mysterious condition going around that is causing sabotage to our eating. I know I'm not alone here when I admit that my eating this past little while leaves a lot to be desired, causing slight weight gain after such hard work to lose it.

I also know, that I am the same person who was practically flawless in my eating for like almost 90 days straight, so I know I can get ahold of this - who's with me?? 

There is no deadline for sign-ups, anyone can join at any time!!

All you have to do is check in once a week (at least) & let us know how you're doing. If/when you "cheat", simply let us know & I will restart your start date.

A cheat is defined as whatever a cheat would mean to you personally, whether it be going over your calories, bingeing, not eating enough, too many treats, etc. We all know when we've cheated, so just be honest with yourself

Let's be honest with each other & keep each other eating clean k? The PRIZE to the winner? Well that's easy - weight loss!!!!!!!!! (or maintenance for those at that stage!) Let's do this!

If you lose your mind & cheat, just let me know. Then you can re-start from the next day. I'll simply unbold your name, along with updating your new start date.

After being clean for a week after a re-start, I'll re-bold your name. So you always have a chance to feel like you are succeeding. 

Also, if you just don't feel like you want to partake in the challenge anymore, can you let me know so I can remove your name from the list? Thanks!!

Anyone not checking in for one week (December 25 - December 31) will be removed from the challenge.

I need a restart for August 4th.

>.< Eating a pint of frozen yogurt may not be as bad as eating a pint of regular ice cream but it is cheating big time in my book. Man... I'm really disappointed. I know this happens but... man. I really wanted to have held out longer. I broke though and binged... at least I was able to talk myself away from regular ice cream and into the forzen yogurt... either way... not sure how my stomach's going to react to it. Right now I'm thinking... not very well.

All is well here! Lost 5.2 lbs since Monday's new start, crazy-ness!  I'm lovin it. My lowest is only 1.6 lbs away (147.4) & I can't wait to get below that finally.

This week upcoming is gonna be challenging with being away again. Wish me luck that I'll stay the same or better yet, lose!

So just so you all know, I won't be editing the post (unless I can find a pc, which I know the hotel we stay at does not have one) from Tuesday (7th) to Monday the 13th.

buhri- you're right, at least you consciously made a decision to not binge "as bad". That's a step. Next time you'll just have one serving.

Hey guess what guys - there's only 7 people not bolded!!! & two of those get bolded tomorrow! We should all try to stay clean one week so we can all be bolded & see how long we can stay bolded as a group!!! Way to go all!!!!!!!!!!

Dee- I think that group challenge is a great idea!! still clean helped a friend move some furniture out to a dumpster today cause she is having her home redone and I was starving when I got in but my Bf brought me a chicken salad lastnight and  it was good. shared it with my daughter and it brought my daily cals righ up cause I ran out this morning with a yogurt in my hand and that was it.

still awesome here & got to rebold my name today. Felt good! Thanks for the suggestion humorpam!!!

This week is gonna be so challenging. Although I feel so strong now, I'm still kinda worried. So eveyrone, send me good-eating vibes & strong willpower to resist all the temptations.

The one great thing that I think will keep me motivated this week is that since Monday (July 31) when I started, I've lost 6.2 lbs - crazy! I love it. I"m only 0.6 away from my lowest ever!!!!

Hey Dee. I just wanted you to know that I'm STILL eating clean even though I'm not in the challenge. I must admit that since leaving the challenge, I've pondered a few times to myself about cheating. Oi. Throw me back in here would ya?

I need to learn how to make a super good low cal chicken noodle soup. Just sounds so good. It's so cold in my office I want something warm! :)

melinda- ok, I'll put you back on! We are re-bolding people after cheating when they are clean agian for one week. But cuz you're starting over, you'll be bold right away.
& btw, I think making a low cal chicken noodle soup is fairly easy, most soups are low cal, it's just that darn sodium you gotta keep in check!! Even the canned low sodium stuff is packed full of it!

Hey still doing GREAT here!

I am starting a new thing with my eating habbits.  I've always heard that 4 or 5 small meals are better than 2 or 3 big meals, so I started eating 4-5 meals a day, I found that I keep comming in just under my calories so I'm trying to make up calories with a night time snack. Hopefully I'll get this down eventually :)

I have to admit, I haven't been exercising at all. Other than moving around the house because I am bored or other random activities, I haven't been exercising. Last night I decided I need to go for walks, then I decided I would take my puppies (they're not really puppies, they're 4 & 5) for a walk before we all went to bed. Then I decided, I'll take one first twice around my neighborhood, maybe the long loop. Then I'll bring him home and get the other and do the exact same.

I'll have to be fair to the second puppy and take him on the same route I took the first so even if I'm feeling tired, I have to go a specific distance to be fair. I'm all about being fair. I can't even give them treats that aren't the same size cause I'll feel bad.

Alright. That's my week/month/lifely goal to do. Walk. I know, it's lame but... I have to start somewhere.
Also, I recently lowered my calories again. 1550 instead of 1700. I lowered it because that's around what the calorie-count tool said I should have based on my daily 'exercise'. I looked back on all my calories and found days I ate as little as 1,000 and days I ate as much as 2,000. I bounce a lot. I am going to work really hard on not going back and fourth by drinking at least 8 oz of water before my meal.

Okay, that's what's going on in my life. =) How are you?

Restart me on Aug 7; had a wedding reception on the weekend (did okay) but my youngest daughter's 12th birthday was today; the second piece of cheesecake did me in.

laura- I prefer 4 meals a day too. If I got up earlier, I coudl do 5. Keeps me fuller it seems.

buhri- way to get out there. I hear ya on treating the dogs the same. Although I tend to give my dog who's older & a bit overweight a smaller treat than my underweight pup who could use the extra cals! lol!

ssrussell- oh cheesecake! it's a high calorie treat, but so yummy! Happy bday to yoru daughter!!

can you put me as starting today, august 7th?

my idea of clean eating is sticking to natural, healthy (and pref. organic) foods, and also not binging.... binging is my big problem.  I am quite satisfied on 1,000 cals a day  (I aim for 1200) but then go through 3,000 cals like it's nothing once I get started binging.

here goes!

I'm still clean! :D I feel so good.

I also wanted to let you know that my computer is being worked on. We have had to remove the hard drive to have someone try to fix it. I don't usually have access to another computer (just got lucky today) so I might not be able to post for a couple weeks. Please don't remove me from the challenge.

Hi Everyone! This looks like such a great idea! I am having a hard time figuring out when the challenge began. I would like to join in, is it too late? I have that last 10 lbs to lose (that I gained during Christmas). Would anyone be willing to share their meals for the day? Thanks! :)
