| 140/130 club | ||

| Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's. We can all use support. Today I am focusing on all the food groups. Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30. A Super long day. I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today. | ||

hi everyone! I just got back from a six day trip to a conference, and despite not being able to find a lot of good eating choices, I'm down to 146 today!!
I'll try and catch up with all the posts tomorrow... |

whew.. i am totally worn out tonight.. one of the neighbor kids moms came down earlier, asking if my son had seen her sons wallet... he said no.. but as my son has been known to lie, and has also been known to steal stuff from us (money, etc.. he also likes to sneak food and snacks to his room, which i dont allow.. they get a snack when they get home from school.. they dont need snacks in their rooms, anyway i digress)... so hubby and i TORE his room apart for about an hour, pulling stuff out of drawers, closet, and under bed/tv stand... ugh.. now his room looks like a tornado hit, AGAIN ... and i am just worn out and stressed... but hey, its gotta count somewhere towards my calories burned :P cathy its okay, i think i have an allergy to the low 140's lol... carabo - i bet you are achey after that treadmill change :) i would fall down along with teen lol.. although i have actually seen it on something before.. i bet it is really awesome on those inner thighs i cant get rid of lol.. pretty its alright that the new scale says more, i bet it is closer in the morning when you weigh again :) vicki hope you got a good workout in :) ekathleen - congrats on 146 :) wtg :) dharma i am sure it will happen you will break it and stay below it :) |

| dj & kiigan, thanks for the info on the resistance bands. i was totally going to return it when i wrote that post last night, but maybe i'll give it another try. i'll try the tape that came with it tomorrow to see if that goes any better. but, dam* does that thing make me feel so weak!! | ||

Yeah :)) That may have looked funny.. I probbly only tried it cause the gym was close to empty when I got there :))
I think you should keep the resistance bands teen, if you can manage to exercise with it at least to begin with. It should get easier with time maybe ? Unicat : :(( hope everything resolved peacefully and to your satisfaction.. such things can be very distressing. |

lol teen.. the way i did my taebo today made me feel weak too.. but kinda made me feel better about the way i did it :) tomorrow is "the biggest loser dvd" and weights for my abs... will see how that goes.. going to concentrate on technique then too :) well didnt find the wallet, guess thats a good thing?? unless he just took the money out of it, and threw the wallet away.. :( but now he is going to spend his days off school cleaning house til his room is spotless to my approval.. :) |

Aloha everyone! OK, that running sideways thing is actually really good as it works a whole new set of muscles that usually aren't worked -thighs, baby! However, on the treadmill? You guys are gutsy! I usually do them outside on a long hill both going up or down. Coordination is key. lol You know, injury prevention? Just think how it would look coming out of the gym on a stretcher. Hmm...on the other hand, I have seen some pretty cute paramedics. lol
OK, the noodles: Shirataki Tofu noodles(House Brand) I have found them only in health food stores next to the tofu. They come in a liquid. Cal= 40, Fiber=4 g, protein=2 g Fat =1, carbs=6g(this is for 2 servings!!)Makes a pasta dinner guiltless :-) Unicat, good luck on the wallet! |

good morning! back up to 139 this morning but I def. went over my calories last night. It was nice b/c it was all pretty much healthy stuff I went over in :) I went to the grocery store and bought 100 calorie pack lorna dunes... yum! I also bought edy's vanilla ice cream w/100 calories per serving. I had a serving of ice cream and a bag of cookies all within 200 calories! Granted, a little more than I'd like to see for a dessert, but it was a nice little treat! Now I have a 1/2 gallon of ice cream in my freezer I have to hope my b/f finishes... lol
hip hooray! My company has a health fair every year and the one for this year is next Wednesday! I am very excited b/c they do about 20 different test... good cholesterol, bad cholesterol, bp, weight, inches, height, all kinds of fun stuff! I did it last year and it was worse last year than the year before so I am looking forward to seeing what happens this year! Last year the woman who was measuring me measured over my sweatshirt and took a measurement of about 33"! I was most likely at 29" ! I was at 148 ish I think last year, so I've lost some weight, but I'm more excited to see what my cholesterol readings and such say since I've started eating a lot better! I think the very first year I did it I was at 140. But that was about 2 years ago. Plus, they weigh us fully clothed, obviously :) Sounds like everyone here is doing really, really well! Keep up the good work!! |

Cathy and Dharma - Atleast you can get into the 130's even for a brief time haha!
Cathy - I hope, I hope, I hope I can get those noodles somewhere in England or on the internet... pasta is a huge downfall for me! HUGE Very happy today about the release of the guys from Iran as I know some of the naval officers although not very well through my really good friend who is in the navy and has trained with them - he was really upset so very good news! Also looking forward to the long weekend! Although must not eat too much chocolate!!! xxx |

You know, that research on being tired and eating more is true! I have been so worn out lately, and all I want to do is munch on everything! I also don't want to eat good food, I want big greasy cheeseburgers, or chicken wings---yum! When I'm not so tired, I seem to have more will power. How about you guys? |

cathy--those tofu noodles sound very very very intriguing. do you just put normal tomato sauces on them and stuff? i love tofu, so i could probably deal with it :) i think i'm going to try looking for those! pretty--i LOVE LOVE LOVE the Turbo Jam DVD series. it's a little dancy, very aerobic, and includes some martial arts type moves (kicks, punches, blocks, etc). so that's fun for me. they also make a few resistance/strength training workouts, as well as the typical ab DVD (which is actually pretty good!) so i totally recommend those. the woman who leads it is fun and doesn't get on my nerves :) carabo--i don't think i've got the courage to try the running sideways thing :) running forwards is enough for me! :) ekath--congrats on lowering weight! yay! *happy dance* unicat--that must be so exhausting and frustrating with your son :( hope it all works out wolfie--don't return the bands just cuz they're hard! they're hard cuz they're really working you out!!! use 'em more and it'll get more doable. i like using 'em for bicep curls and tricep extensions srd--i do the same thing (hoping my b/f will eat food); i left a half of a chimichanga at his apt and refuse to eat it so he's taken care of it for me, LOL :) hope the testing goes well! chloe--i was really relieved abotu the sailors, too--so weird though....but glad to hear that you're relieved! i did an upper body intensive workout today at the gym--pushed my triceps pretty hard. and biceps in a really long set at the end. didn't get to do much cardio to follow up since my mom wanted to leave :) but since it was only upper body it wasn't a very good calorie burn :( boo. i also pretty much forgot to drink lots of water once i got home from work, LOL! but i did drink more than usual. so weight's the same (141)...had pizza for dinner which means sodium is high, but sodium will be high today, too (jimmy john's for lunch). but gonna get in some abs tonight! |

morgan- thanks for the comments! Haven't measured yet, I keep forgetting to get a tape measure!! I picked 4/21 for fun... just a full 2 weeks to get my body benefitting from the weights. I think that should give me enough time to be able to see some changes :) omg... that ab think sounds insane!! I may try that once I stop getting soreness from the ones I'm doing now :) good job on the workout! keep drinkin your water!! wtg at staying at that weight!
I'm looking forward the the testing, I won't get the results for a while, but once I do I'll post them in my journal! |

Owie I worked my arms too yesterday--they are sore! It feels good though. I think TTOM is approaching--all I keep thinking about is donuts and chicken wings!!! |

lol. i haven't had an actual donut in a LONG time. chicken wings on the other hand....LOL :) i'm kinda curious about getting my cholesterol tested cuz my dad has high cholesterol, as does my uncle (mom's side). he actually has some disorder that results in really high cholesterol, but luckily, my mom doesn't have it since it's genetic (my cousin has it). i thought i was fine cuz i have always been healthy and had low BP and stuff, but apparently it's totally unrelated! |

| yeah, maybe get that checked out since you are in the process of revamping your eating lifestyle now. That way if something else needs to be changed for your cholesterol you can toss that into the mix as well :) | ||

gooooooooooooood morning :) yay :) i dropped .5 lb from yesterday :) so getting closer to my low... 144.5 this morning and my low was 143.5 :) so one more lb and i will back where i was :) cant wait to make a NEW low :) hoooorah :) lol cathy.. cute paramedics... uh huh :) the wallet wasnt found, at least not here in my house.. the mother said there were a bunch of kids over at their house the day it disappeared so am hoping it wasnt my son that took.. hoping maybe it just got misplaced, although she tore their place apart looking for it... stacey - you couldnt of gone tooo far over your calories last night, but out of curiosity how much sugar was in that stuff?? and i hope your b/f finishes the ice cream for ya :P good luck on the health fair next week :) i always thought my cholesterol was fine, even though my mom had issues with it.. so when i got tested a couple years ago and found out i was borderline.. it was like okay what is causing this?? lol.. also when i was having problems with my gallbladder they informed me i have a fatty liver.. am wondering what its like now that i have lost a lot of weight :) chloe - definitely try to stay away from the chocolates.. thats one of my downfalls... dee - i agree i have more willpower when i am wide awake and moving.. if i am tired i just wanna lay down and sleep, not do anything worthy of calorie burn, and eat whatever i can stick in my mouth lol.. and congrats on working out your arms yesterday, i know what you mean by sore lol.. and uh oh.. watch those TOM cravings... morgan - try to get that water in today, you are gonna really need to flush that sodium out.. |
