Clean Eating Challenge
Ok, there seems to be a mysterious condition going around that is causing sabotage to our eating. I know I'm not alone here when I admit that my eating this past little while leaves a lot to be desired, causing slight weight gain after such hard work to lose it.
I also know, that I am the same person who was practically flawless in my eating for like almost 90 days straight, so I know I can get ahold of this - who's with me??
There is no deadline for sign-ups, anyone can join at any time!!
All you have to do is check in once a week (at least) & let us know how you're doing. If/when you "cheat", simply let us know & I will restart your start date.
A cheat is defined as whatever a cheat would mean to you personally, whether it be going over your calories, bingeing, not eating enough, too many treats, etc. We all know when we've cheated, so just be honest with yourself
Let's be honest with each other & keep each other eating clean k? The PRIZE to the winner? Well that's easy - weight loss!!!!!!!!! (or maintenance for those at that stage!) Let's do this!

Pam I am not sure but I think it is a monthly thing and at the begining of each 30 day cycle everyone goes bold then It goes from there. I could also be very wrong to but that is my understanding of it.
Hey all! STill good here. Eating good is somehow easy right now & I love that, it makes it sooo much easier. Down 3.2 lbs from when I restarted, so that darn water weight's coming off fast, yay! Hope to be back in the 140s tomorrow or the next day & then I will do my darnest to never see the 150s again!

I am a bored and emotional eater. I'd rather do the bored eating then because I can keep that healthy and to a minimum. My emotional eating is always things chock-full of fat and calories and sugar and nothing healthy. Except maybe calcium... =)
I like the idea of everyone being re-bolded after a period of good eating. Being re-bolded at the 1st of the month doesn't seem fair to anyone who slips say the 2nd of the previous month compared to the person who slipped the 31st of that month.

Now that I've said all that, time to ramble. I've been feeling bad overall the last couple days... turning into weeks and I am not quite sure why. A teacher I had a quarter ago thought I should see a counselor because I might be depressed... I never did go to the counselor he reccomended which was bad I know, but... I really don't like seeing counselors. It is hard to feel like they care what you're saying and I just try to find comfort elsewhere.
Unfortunetely the comfort doesn't always last long and I am starting to drag again. This makes me really drag in my diets and healthy eating and I start to say things like, 'Oh screw it, one thing won't hurt' until that one thing turns into more and more. So I am doing my best not to do badly, trying to be more strict and on it and occupy my time with other things (I have books for when I am left alone, which is often). So I am working on it... but, I'm always working on it and after awhile I get tired and want to give up. This time I'm going to try and keep you guys updated rather than a faceless journal that no one ever sees because... I might get some words of support or advice here at least.

I don't know I kinda like the first of every month thing cause I think it gives a little more incentive, that is just my thought though!!

Ok, I need a start over. Start me with today, Aug. 2, please. I did fine today. It was before today that I slipped.
I think restarting every so often is a good idea. I have no real opinion as far as how often.

Dee - I like the idea of re-bolding our names after a certain amount of time. I think it should be individual, i.e. rebold for every 7 days (or another specified amount of time) of eating healthy. However, I know it might be hard to keep track of everyone! I'm OK with whatever you decide, though.
And congratulations on getting to the 140s! :)
buhrill3 - I'm sorry you're struggling with your eating. What other things besides books bring you comfort and get you away from eating out of boredom? Walks, music, a nap, calling family or a friend, occupying your hands with activities, like writing, painting, puzzles, knitting, playing an instrument, etc... Just some ideas.
And congratulations on getting to the 140s! :)

Still here but need a restart. I'm at my heaviest weight in years but I really want to beat this in a healthy way...my habit would be to cut calories drastically, but really want to force myself to stick this out the slow healthy way.

Still doin' great here. Having big-time cravings today & opted to have an extra skinny cow ice cream sandwich. But now that means I have to not eat for the rest of the day & it's only 5:26 - BOO HOOO!!!! :( Oh well! That's the price I pay I guess.

Hey all I'm still doing pretty good, been slipping slightly lately (I find its hard to work out in this heat!) but because I've slowed my work out I've also been even more careful about the foods I eat and I'm EXTREMELY strict about my calories :)
I was super excited when I went shopping today and fit into a dress I wanted to buy several months ago (a sun dress...go figure now that we're going into fall...)
I like the idea of re-bolding, I feel that doing it on the first of the month would be the best choice because it would be more motivation to keep going :) I think every 7 days would be good too but I think it might be difficult to keep track of.

sugu - To be honest family pushes me toward eating for no reason. Something to occupy my mouth so it won't get me in trouble. I try to find other things to do, I've been playing with my guinea pigs more and more lately. I used to write a lot but honestly, I haven't felt inspired enough to write anything real. Thank-you for your comments. =)
Hi everyone Still Clean One Week!!!
Ok went school shopping for the kids yesterday so Only managed to get a 45 min walk in then walked all over three different stores and Plan to repeat the process on monday cause I go clothes shopping for them then Renew everthing for my fall semester and pick up my books for fall. Doesn't carting my books around campus count as weight lifting??? Lol

i went to this italien eis place(ice cream) in downtown Frankfurt, Germany today and the had all these crazy flavor. i was so tempted to get two scoop, they were really big too. i figured im doing so good right now i should just stick to one! I got tropical yogurt. but i ended up trying my sisters, and i really wish i got hers! its was apple banana. really good though.
