I found Slim  in  6  to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned!  I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent.  I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time!  Anyone doing it, or about to start it?  I am ready for the 6 week challenge.  I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works!  I have seen results firsthand!  I need a buddy!

Hey Motivated Mia I'm on wowy too MsMariss! See you there!

I'm in week two of doing this again.  I started back in late summer, but had to quit on doctor's orders while I recovered from a big asthma attack.

I stayed on Start it up for a full six days, until I could hold my arms up through the whole thing (lol) in addition to doing everything else.  Why is the arms up so hard? I could do all the pushups on the second day, and my arms are usually my strongest part.

So, yesterday was my first on Ramp it up, and I'd forgotten all about that damn floor work.  *gasp* *wheeze* But, today I'm not sore, and I'm even kind of excited about my session tonight.  It's starting to look like I'm addicted.  I sure hope so!

I should use wowy; I always seem to forget about it!

Hey!!! Welcome Brightest yea the floor work is ridiculous I'm a tall girl at 6'0" so lifting your leg like that for so long is crazy! Anyway arms up is always exhausting because its like the quickest way to boost your heart rate, so that in combination with the knee ups is always going to leave you feeling warm " are you feeling warm yet?" lol Debbie I have to say is really great you can totally see her being your personal trainer!

yea you should come to wowy! I love it, and yes the best thing about exersice is that its addictive. I woke up at 5am to workout today and I think I'm going to either do another session  tonight or the slim and 6 pack till tommorow.

Hope you stay addicted!

Marissa

Welcome Brightestblue!  Good job on RIU!  That floor work is great, isn't it.  After 4 weeks I can complete the entire BUI routine except for the pushups.  I feel so much stronger.

Are you on wowy?

Hey Marissa!  Sounds like your doing great!  Working out on a weekend sounds great too!  I told motivated_mia that I was will to get up at 5am this weekend to workout with her so...what time are you working out this weekend?  Did you say you were taking supplements?  What has your coach recommended for you?  Way to go and KPP!

Kimberly

Hey Kimberly!

I'm traveling today and tommrow, worked out this morning I'll be around Sunday for a workout, you're in LA right? so 5am for you is what? 8am for me?

Let me know!

i watched BIU to prepare I'm going into my 4th week, umm yea SCARY!!!

I think I may do RIU for a few more days really master those leg moves and then get into BIU making my total plan like 7 weeks but what the hell its the best results that count right? :) .... How are you doing? your 30 day photos look FAB my dear! GREAT JOB!

Hi Marissa,

The later the better on SundayLaughing.  What time do you workout on Sunday?  Let me know and I'll work around that, ok?

Yeah, BUI looks great, doesn't it?  Debbie definitely picks up the pace!  I think 7 weeks is great.  Some people do a second round of SI6 when they're finished.  When I'm done, I won't have reached my goal yet, so I'll be starting Turbo Jam on 2/18.  I'm very excited to be working out with Chalene!

Have you talked to your coach about what supplements are recommended?  I just became a coach, yay!, and I don't want to step on any toes, for sure.

Thanks for the compliment!  Can't wait to take those 6 week pics, woohoo!

Ok, let me know what time on Sunday.  My member name is Kimberly125.

Kimberly

Hi Gals,

I got DVDs a month ago, did only one session of SIU, then went for a month's vacation. Now finding it incredibly hard to "really" start.

Need some support and partner...anyone ??

 -Tanya

Hey Kimberly,

I agree sunday the later the better, I'm thinking maybe around 3? that would be around 1pm your time no?

I'll send you an invite on wowy!

Hey Tanya,

Trust we all know the feeling of not being motivated to start, but can you see yourself in some fabulous outfit or swimsuit this summer? I can and thats what makes me push play everyday, honestly its not so bad once you get past day 2.

You should def take a lookat wowy.com Kimberly and I are there (Kimberly125 and MsMariss) I'm on the east coast she is on the west, but what's great is that we can pick a time to meet up online and press play at the same time as we workout on opposite ends of the country! It's like having a gym buddy. and that keeps you honest and on tract.

So give it a whirl, go at your own pace, its not a race here, I even just extended the 6 weeks to 7 so I can perfect the moves. So we're here for ya!

get inspired by the idea of seeing the best you in the mirror! :)

Talk soon girls,

Marissa

Hi Tanya,

My name is Kimberly.  I'm a brand new Coach on Beachbody's wowy.  It's a place where people Work Out With You online.  It's a great way to be held accountable and meet other people with the same goals and challenges.

If our schedules are similar, I would be happy to work out with you!  If you need help navigating wowy and choosing a Coach, let me know.

My profile is milliondollarbody.com/kimberly125.  That's my goal, to weigh 125!  I'm not there yet, but I will be!!!!!

My results are real and if I can do it, you can too!!!

Kimberly

PS.  Your diet is so important!  This is a great site to make sure that you have a calorie deficit.  The info you received with your dvds should also have valuable information about how you should be eating.

Marissa,

That sounds great!  1pm is definitely doable.  You're such a great motivator.  You'd be a great coach!  Speaking of coaches, have you selected yours yet?  I'd love to be your coach if you haven't.  But it's definiitely a personal choice. There are so many good, experienced coaches there to choose from.  Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out thereSmile

See you on Sunday!

Kimberly

Hey Kimberly,

I never chose a coach I think one was assinged to me. I would love for you to be my coach I'll look into on wowy.

I am not taking supplements recommended by beachbody, but I am taking vitamins. I'm thinking about it but not sure, the biggest thing is diet, I'm not eating badly but alot of my meals are from outside due to the fact that I am at work, so I am really trying to be concious of what i eat and the portions but I'm not 100% sure of what my caloric intake is each day, although it must be still a deficit because I am losing the weight. But that is an area i do want to get some advice on. I'm not prepared to exist on greens and bland fish or chicken I want a meal plan that is realistic... what has worked for you?

Either way, see you sunday! :)

Hi Marissa,

I would Love to be your Coach!!  Just click on Customer Service faq on the bottom, left side of your dashboard and send customer service an email stating that you want Kimberly Bratton (Kimberly125) to be your coach.  Please send me a copy of the email.  That's it!

As your coach, I can recommend a realistic diet plan and supplements suited for your particular work out.

I totally here you  on the leafy greens and the chicken, lol!  I've definitely modified my diet since I started.  I eat from the top 2 tiers of michi's ladder only, though because I want to have carved abs!

The MDB club has great, realistic meal plans.  The club seems a little pricey at first (it's about $39 a quarter), but you get 10% off on any products that you buy from Beachbody so that brings the investment way down.  You can cancel within 30 days if you don't like it.  I totally recommend it because you can plan your meals for the week and it will even create a shopping list for you to print out.

You mentioned that you're not sure about your calorie intake, but I think you should at least try to match what your eating to the foods on the list here.  At least you'll get an estimate.  That deficit is so important.  I'm so glad you're still losing weight!! Go Marissa!!!

If you do decide to join the club, do me a favor, ok? Wait until you  get confirmation that I am your coach before joining the club.  I'll get credit for you joining and every little bit counts, ya know?Money mouthhaha.

Thanks Marissa and heres to less boring food!

Thanks Marissa and Kimberly for all your time and good words. Now I will try for tomorrow morning workout.

I am taking multivitamins that has very similar content as MDB supplements. Unfortunately I am not an active member of wowy anymore ...but I will keep logging my workout routines here.

Thanks for the diet tip, you are right diet is really imp, my diet is not too bad (at least thats what i think Undecided) 500(Breakfast)+100(Snack)+400(Lunch)+100(Snac k)+500(Dinner)= 1600, but i find keeping dinner cals low the most tough part...any tips ??

Well Tanya, I'm happy to motivate you from here! It sounds like you have a good handle on your calories. The best tip I can give you to keep the dinner calories down, is eating a bunch of veggies to fill you up. Leafy greens like bok choy and nappa cabbage are really low in calories and you can eat a lot of them! Vegetables vary in there calorie content, though, so be careful. Check on the lists here before you go shopping.

I've been eating my leafy greens with mustard lately, which is something I never did before. I read it on the 6 day express menus and I actually like the mustard with the greens!

Hopefully someone else will chime in here with some other tips for you! Hey, if you ever want a buddy on wowy, you don't have to do it every day. I don't think your wowy membership expires, but I'll find out. Also, the message boards there are so motivational when you find the right one for you.

Anyway, I'm glad you here. Check in for motivation anytimeWink

Kimberly

hi everyone, i was wondering if someone could tell me what the two day fast consists of exactly.  i lost my book and im interested in doing it. thanks

manar

Hi Manar,

I don't have my book anymore either, but I went ahead and did a 2 day juice only fast and lost 5 lbs and cleansed my body.

Beachbody offers a 2 day fast formula in chocolate and vanilla which will probably give you similar results but will have more nutrients in it.

The fast is a great way to get rid of those cravings. After the two days, I was grateful to be able to eat solid, healthy food in small portions.

If I can help you with anything else, let me know. I'm on week 5, day 4 of Slim in 6 and I'm very happy with my results. Check out my gallery to see my progress so far.

Good luck,

Kimberly

Edit:  Manar, I just found my book! This is what it says:

"Lose 5-10 pounds and 2-5 inches in your first week by doing the Fast Start tow days before beginning Slim in 6.

Beachbody's Fast Start is an effective fasting regimen that can be followed for the two days immediately before beginning a new workout program, such as SI6.  With fast start, weight loss results can be greatly accelerated so you lose from 5 to 10 pounds in the first week.

Using Beachoody's Fast Start Formula will cleanse impurities and detoxify the body and is recommended so you get adequate nutrition and maintain your energy during this tow-day fast.

The benefits:  Beachbody's Fast Start will prepare your body to burn off the maximum amount of stored fat during the first week of your program.

After this two-day fast, you will feel refreshed and invigorated, you will also have properly positioned your metabolism so your body will utilize stored fat for energy, without giving your body enough time to lower you metabolism (thus the two-day limitation).

The results can be dramatic:

 - wight loss of up to 10 pounds or more - much of i in fat loss

 - a lasting decrease in "junk food" cravings

 - your stomach will contract so it will take less food for you to feel full

The fast start method interrupts you food consumption, cleans out your digestive tract and activates your fat-burning metabolism.  This exclusive formulation helps restore the nutrition and mineral balance in your body, and helps your body absorb important trace elements, minerals and enzymes into the bloodstream.  As a result, you will feel lighter, healthier and rejuvenated while you quickly shed pounds and inches during the first week of Slim in 6."

I hope this helps.

Kimberly

 Thanks Kimberly,

Today I did my first slim and Limber + SIU session in the morning, I had to pause it twice though.

I didn't do push-ups..could never do it ..I think I will need to stay on it for more than 2 weeks to get the posture right.

kimberly

thank you for your help.  i just have a few more questions; am i supposed to only drink juice in those two days/ what kind of juice do i drink/ and how much juice do i drink/

thanks

manar

Manar,

The book just say juice or herb tea.  At least with the juice you're getting a few calories.  I drank pomegranate  juice, but I don't recommend it.  If I were you I would go with a juice blend, maybe v8 mixed with veggies and fruit, something wholesome.

Good luck with your choice.

Kimberly
