140/130 club timbergrove

Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's.  We can all use support.  Today I am focusing on all the food groups.  Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30.  A Super long day.  I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today.

whatever it takes, man!

it's like, 70 degrees here....i sooooo want to be outside....tonight is an ab workout day, so i think i'm going to take my mat outside and do my exercises on the porch :) hopefully the wood doesn't kill my spine!!!!  i found a 20 minute ab workout that looks GREAT on prevention.com today (you can find the link to it in my journal) so i'm gonna try that out!  seriously--if you guys are ever looking for exercise routines or good foods or diet help--check out prevention.com.  there is so much cool info! even lots of makeup tips!

wow you guys have been chatty since i left this morning, lol..

morgan - yay i got my workout in :) and dang you are quick to hit my journal entry lol.. good luck on adding more protein in, mine seems a little low today also... enjoy your ab workout :)

stacey - i definitely feel better after working out.. :) wasnt bad at all :) and yup definitely gotta love losing water weight lol..  at least it makes you feel a little better after going up real quick from water weight lol..   i love 100 calorie packs :)

teen - yup its a priority :) must be sexy for that hot dress :)  sorry you are going to be so busy at work, maybe try and fit in little 10 minutes here and there during the day...

gret - i heard about those hostess 100 calorie cupcakes, havent seen em yet out here in hawaii though :(  sound yummy.. lol..

okay really gotta shower now lol..  and housework (put it off til after i exercised since i was so late getting that in) but i am usually around..  although i am going to start laying out in the back yard for a bit everyday, really gotta get some kind of tan going for the ball too.. really wanna cheat and just go to a tanning bed, but since i have a 3 (almost 4 :) )year old here at home, thats kind of hard to do, but i think i can get him to play outside for a while so i can get some sun.. you would think living in hawaii for a year i would already be tan :P

i never realized you live in hawaii! that's cool.  or hot, maybe? :)  have fun getting some sun! i always get pretty dark during the summer since i play golf, but that means i end up with these beautiful sock and shoulder tan lines.  this year it'll prolly be even worse if i manage to keep jogging!

lol yeah, my hubby is stationed out here.. :) its nice, but not for a loooooooong time.. lol..  its hard not being able to drive and go see family (although when we lived in california it was a loooooooooong drive back to missouri to see our family, but we still did it, with 3 kids complaining the entire way lol... ) oooooh lovely sock tan lines lol..  we love going to the beach, but only go when hubby is around and available more often cos i cant imagine handling 3 kids there at once,.and trying to relax at the same time lol..  its not hot here yet, pretty comfy :) one year down, four to go lol..

yeah--i think it would be weird living in hawaii since it's always a "vacation spot". but my aunt and uncle were actually considering moving out there they loved their vacations so much! lol :)

I'm wearing my smallest pair of jeans today; a little snug. I had a couple of nice dinners out, but I want my cals to be no more than 1600 today.

I find if I do too drastic a drop (say, 1300) after two + 2000 days, I binge the following.

Does this sound logical?

defiitely sounds logical dharma :) your body thinks you should have more food on those 1300 calorie days..  maybe try doing 1500 or 1600 calories after 2000 days..  how many calories are you suppose to be getting in???

Wow!  What a cool place I've found!  Thank you for the welcome notes.  It really is a great motivation.  OK, this am I put on some pants that had been too tight and now are loose.  (Hmmm...is it because I haven't washed them since the last wearing? ;-) I'll take the "feel good" when I can.  :-) Oh, that boob thing....mine have become like two horozontal pancakes on my chest that I have to place into my bra.

P.S.  I didn't start running until I was 35.  My first 5 K nearly killed me, and now I run marathons -albiet slowly.  It has been a great social outlet amongst other things.  I have to be careful though because my body adapts to the long runs and hangs onto the fat.  UGH!

P.P.S.  One great sweet tooth idea is 1 pk. ff sf vanilla jello pudding + 1 cup pumpkin + 2 cups skim or soy milk + 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice -tastes like pumpkin pie!

Whoohoo!  Hockey game tonite! Buffalo should clinch the east--and I am sitting around in my workout clothes, but it's AFTER my workout!  I got 40 min of conditioning and 35 min on the bike--it's beautiful here too!  Tomorrow will be crappy and snowy, but today is  sublime!  At least it's spring, so I know this won't last.

yum cathy thats sounds really good, i love pumpkin pie (any body catching on to the fact that i love food yet?? lol) is that all one serving lol??  cos i bet i would just eat it up..  how many calories?? do you cook it?? and let it cool then like a pie, or like jello?

Hey teen thanks for the advice on the incline. I had put it on a 2% incline and have kept it there so I am happy it was a good choice.

I am at 148 still today (well this morning I was). My allergies are totally driving me crazy at the moment. It seems everyone in my neighborhood decided to mow thier grass at the same time...yesterday during my run.....now I suffer with a headache....

Enough complaining...I had the best salad at lunch and I made some homemade lowfat ranch dressing...I only used a bit of it. Then for dinner I had spaghetti...not sure if that is bad or not. I am going to go do my ab workouts and what not.

This forum was jumpin' today huh?

those hostess cupcakes are great - I also limit myself to an occasional one here and there.  Snackwell makes a great devil's food cookie that also satisfies my sweet tooth.  My sweet tooth was the worst, I seemed to have a candy bar every afternoon - but haven't for three months now..... YEAH!!!

unicat - my daughter was in Hawaii in October (honeymoon) when the earthquake hit.  She called me (like I could do something from Ohio) in a state of confusion, told me they were going to the highest mountain in case there was a tsunami (KIDS).  I think she reads to much, but then again she is a teacher.

lmao about the earthquake, and tsunami possibilities... oh but mom you can get the electric and everything back on :P they actually did release a warning on a tsunami possibility but then retracted it pretty quickly...  that was actually a hard day.. loll..  i had just gotten up when it hit, and i thought something landed on the roof of our house..  cos it just kinda rippled loudly through the top of the house. and then the lights went out...  spent the day (rainy) down at a neighbors house and grilled spaghetti for dinner out lol..  then brought the kids home and luckily enough both our laptops were plugged in and charged enough to let em watch a movie til bedtime...  lol..   yup, fun day..

hope she enjoyed the rest of her honeymoon though :)

i normally don't post this late--i'll be sure to respond to ppl tomorrow morning--but i just ate two boca burger patties in a sandwich of sorts.  WORST IDEA EVER. it's like it didn't make it all the way down and is now hanging between my throat and stomach.  it's that same feeling you get when you drink too much and you're like "am i gonna puke? or no puke? puke? no puke?" guzzle water and go to sleep. i won't be able to eat a boca burger for like, three weeks....

hey ladies, i have a question about resistance bands.  I have a "sexy arms" video (i know, super lame name!) that uses bands or weights.  i've always used weights until now.  i bought 'The Firm' brand 'light' resistance band and i can hardly do the exercises at all!!  am i doing something wrong?  is light really supposed to be that hard?  it's weird 'cause i normally do the tape with 5 lb weights and normal weight lifting i can do up to 8-10 lbs so i'm surprised by the difficulty.  any tips?

hmm wish i could help ya there teen.. i have resistance bands that came with my taebo basic training set, but i have no idea if they are light or what.. i do know that it was really hard to use them when i first started out, but it has slowly gotten easier... 

ugh morgan.. the idea of how you are feeling makes me sick to my stomach...  of course it doesnt help with what i ate for dinner tonight, instead of my planned meal.. :(

pretty, I have allergies too... Just got em last year and it sucks! I'm too lazy to go get medicine but I'm also getting very tired of blowing my nose 40 times a day! lol

I got my cardio in last night. I was super tired but I dragged my butt out there and did it... I felt a lot better afterwards and today I'm at 138.8! I had to check like 3 times just to make sure ;) Hopefully I can keep it down. I'm making spaghetti tonight so I'm eating somewhat light during the day so I can enjoy spaghetti. yum!

I was really tempted to stop and get a cappuchino this morning but I didn't... Maybe I'll walk up to the coffee shop this weekend and get one... IF IT ISN'T SNOWING! :( Ugh.... I'm so over winter! This is like some sort of sick tease! lol... hopefully it will be over soon!
