Morning ladies!!

Hope everyone is doing well!!!  Knee is a small bit better.  Went to the chiropractor yesterday, and there was a new doc there (my normal one is on maternity leave).  Found her very good - she did alot for my knee!

Weighed in this morning and up 2lbs - so weight today is 130lbs.  Im putting that 2lb loss to being sick etc.  starting Monday - I am going to train for a Sprint Triathalon - so will have to change my eating habits!!

How is everyone else??

Steph, well done on Phase 1!!  Keep up the good work!!

Jayne, did you manage to get any sleep after??

Bethany, welcome back!! Gald to hear that you are doing to well!!

I was up 2 hours stalling this morning - yesterday taking fiber mix 2x didnt help as usual so I went to weigh-in with 328.4, almost half a pound.  Since the research today and tomorrow is by the clinic, I'll be reweighing when Ive gone the bathroom.

I even stopped on the way home to buy a laxative since my 3-4 days of waiting in between can affect my weigh-ins.  I found one that said it worked in 15-60 minutes which I thought was cool until I realized it was a suppository - no thanks!  Overnights fine :P.  Ive no plan to take them regularly but since I have to make a trip to weigh myself, *IF* (when!) I face a Thursday like this, Im taking care of business.  Sorry for the topic :/.

Gina, forgot about the marathon - that chiropractor may have set you on a better path to prepare with your knee.  Off to the taste test research.

Also, my zig zag losses can stop now!  Heres how they've gone starting with today and counting backwards:
  0.4
  4.7
  1.0
  5.6
  .08
Prior to that it was:
  3.1
  2.2
  3.4
  3.4
I want to go back to 'norm' - wah!

Hi all - Just a quick question - How much exercise are you ment to do during Phase 1?

Thanks!

#1026 getfitgirl Apr 24 2008 17:46
Hey guys,  Had to go weigh at my moms house Im up to 162.  darn darn darn.  stupid over eating last week.

Exercise...  I need to do more of that LOL.  Steph What is your currant activity level.

Gina Im glad your knee is getting a little bit better.

Jayne your weeks look a lot like mine.  Im tired of it to.

Rachel it sounds like your having so much fun on your vacation.  I had no idea that you could burn so much golfing.  I guess its all that walking plus carrying the clubs.

Bethany.... Glad to hear from you and that the weight is dropping off.
#1027 sun123 Apr 24 2008 19:22
Is it me or do we seem to have mutual good/not so good weeks?  Sarah, do you think any of that is the difference in scales?

Steph - phase1 is low exercise due to the carb restriction so walking and light cardio is fine.  They say if you do strenuous exercise like running or heavy cardio, you might consider starting with phase2.

Another thing about eating out in Florida when I lived there was pricing was so reason as they competed for the tourist crowd.  Good preparation ideas Rachael so even if you do find some food opportunities hard to pass up, youre bring alongs will help with balance.

Back to the clinic feeling victorious - I knew it, I knew it, 326.8 replaces yesterday 328.4 which is an even 2 lbs rather than .4.  Just about 10 lbs to the halfway mark 315 from 465.  Have a 1yr anniversary since starting June 28th which Ive set for 300.  A month back I was 6 lbs behind schedule - now Im just 4 lbs behind and thinking Ive time to catch up (that is with no setbacks, as I hold my leash tight).

Are we having a good Friday?

ok.checking in again at the end of week two...lost 3 more lbs.  so it's been 10 lbs. in 2 weeks and i must say a great way to break that plateau i was on ...it also is good for a person like myself who needs to be on specific guidelines...it seems when i get to be put in charge i start to change things to suit me and then chaos ensues...but following what was in black and white fits me...i will take it a day at a time and  i will continue on stage one or another week....i think its what i need to break away from some cravings,  although i wonder about the lack of fruit in the diet...but next week ill add my 2 apples a day...(to keep the doctor away) lol  thanks D

#1032 sun123 Apr 25 2008 18:53
Break - you shattered the plateau bigdee!  Im with you - the simpler set plan the better for me and like that the 'rules'.  As you venture into stage2, stay concious of what of what carbs your hunger react to (unless its a non-issue for you).  Fruit, ironically, sets off my hunger but not so much when I include it before after a meal.

Rachael, you and the other gals are all below my goal so know that watching you live with the plan in what would be under maintenance for me has been a steady reminder that its not just getting it off but keeping it off.

Chicken with salad today on research and got my $60.  Im always surprised how most of those I know arent interested in getting paid for taste research - it was less than 2 hrs and they could have my opinions cheaper then that :P.

Hey guys.  well its back to phase one for me starting today and this time Im going to stick with it.  The last two weeks bad days screwed up my blood sugars big time.  I feel like I cant shake the cravings.  Ive still got those pesky 20 lbs to go.  I did it once so I can do it again.  Ill admit that shopping for a swim suit also is kicking my butt in gear.  I dont need to look like a model but I don't want a lot of lumps poking out either LOL  Still considering a swim dress for full coverage.

Bigdee I never said congrats on breaking that plateau so Im glad you posted again.  I was so happy to get fruit back the sugar free jello can only cut it for so long.  sounds like your doing great.

Has anyone heard from shruti?  shes been gone for a while now.  hope all of family issues are working out.
#1034 sun123 Apr 26 2008 18:39
Ive come to the conclusion Im keeping the remaining cat Gigi.  She's always followed me thru the house and stayed in the room I am.  A big start to getting over the issue Ive with litterboxes was to clean the litterbox closet, somewhere only Kiki has dared to go.  It was so horrendous I had to pull out the carpet, put in replacement (feeling so accomplished) after washing the flooring.  One cat versus three plus me who will take care of it should make it possible for me.

Send those cravings packing Sarah!  I like the bathings suits with skirts, especially the ones where they start low like a bottom ruffle.  We got a cute one like that last year for Kiki, looked like THIS from Walmart and it had that hold you tight spandex waist.

Yesterday I was cramping all day and I dont cramp.  Im sure it was the laxative which didnt phase me Thursday when I took it at noon and then 6pm.  It started waking up Friday and lasted entire day.  I dont how people abuse them - I was taken them for a genuine reason.  Just relieved its over.
#1035 getfitgirl Apr 26 2008 18:51
I tried that one on and didnt like it.  I have a thick waist and small hips and butt.  Darn that apple shape.  My husband found a pic from when I had my son.  holy moly I should not complain about being to big now.  My extra chin has gone somewhere else LOL.  Its funny that Im still not happy.  Maybe when I reach my goal?
#1036 sun123 Apr 26 2008 19:00
Ive thought of Shruti plus Angie/Irlomont and Angela/Lilred since they were dealing with the skin issues coming back.  Hope they pop back in with an update one of these days.  Rachael is probably Ohio bound now.
#1037 sun123 Apr 26 2008 19:08
Sarah, I always think of the other SBers here including yourself as the skinny girls I diet with :D, still going while at weights quite below my goal.  I should be so self critical - I go the other way, feeling like 230 instead of 330 (denial?).  Then again I was thinking high 300s when I first weighed in at 465.  The right bathing suit and you'll feel great!
#1038 getfitgirl Apr 27 2008 00:34
Now I know why I didn't need to count cals on phase 1.  Ive only hit 1100 cals and Im stuffed.  Normally at this hour Id be wanting more food.

Rachael - do you remember what city beach you went to?  Im from there and just curious.  Good to hear your home safe.  Sarah, hang strong with phase1 -  and to stay inspired, think of your new bathing suit :D.

I had a coupon for SB pizza - Oh my!  Well, I had to check the ingredients because Im so cautious about reacting to processed carbs but it was whole wheat flour and really amazing.  I'd read a post about a non-SBer praising it and boy were they right.

Going window shopping today with an old coworker Janet I've not seen in forever and later this week she'll come along to surprise a mutual coworker who has moved back to Dallas at a lunch date.  Coincidentally I got a call from a guy I used to work with who I'll be having lunch with too this week too.  Nothing but friendship, but we worked as a team so we were very connected.  Funny for me to be reconnecting so much and all in one week.
