Hi, I would like to get in shape for the summer...I am currently in college and have gained a bit more weight than I would have liked to:) I am 5'3 and weigh 143lbs...would love to go down to 125lbs or so over the course of the next few months and would love to hear from anyone else with the same situation? 

I could certainly do with some motivation...someone to chat to when Im contemplating a chocolate binge:)

So it's Sunday and I haven't logged in for a couple days.  I was out of town due to a family member passing too young therefore nothing was logged.  Although I did get on the scale today and I was 184.7 which is .5 up from last week.  I can't complain with everything that I was eating though.  Now that I'm back home, I'm back at it.

Thanks so much everyone, I needed that!  It's been a hard couple days trying to stick with things and my vacation is coming up in just under 5 weeks.  I cannot handle life throwing curveballs that's for sure.  Well tomorrow is a new day and hopefully everyone here is doing great!

Umm...I can relate to that feeling of stepping on the scale and the frustration of a strict diet but poor results; so glad you got it figured out Renekane! Ahaha, everyone's traveling and having what sounds like so much fun and Hasta, I couldn't have agreed with you more when you said that it's the great vacation that will be remembered and not the weight -so true!!

 

Ahaha, everyone has such good reasons for losing weight; I also share some similar goals:


1.) Health

2.) Appearance

And lastly but also most important!

3.) Stepping stone to accomplishing my dream and keeping my promise!

So I'm back to inputting everything onto the website.  I also re-evaluated my goal.  I was finding 1200 calories a day too difficult, at least for now.  I extended out my goal date a month and now am allowed 1500 cal / day.  Once I can get myself back into the habit I'll change it, but stepping stones for now.

Gracelynn: I agree with your reasons behind losing weight!  Health is the big factor, and I would like to fit into some of those cute summer clothes I keep seeing, but really don't want to buy the bigger size.  Also, I return to teaching dance in September.  To be honest I should be able to dance circles around my students and not the other way around ha-ha.

Friday is coming up!  Not looking forward to it, but oh well!  Off to see my little sister receive her diploma @ commencement tonight Cool

Happy Thursday!  I have to share my accomplishment today.  Yesterday, I went over my recommended calories by 600. YellSo, today I made myself stay on the eliptical an hour to burn 600.  (Actually completed 605, but who's counting.)

I have a little trouble being consistent on my excercise.  I run hot and cold. But, I was really happy that I could endure an hour.  Laughing

Congratulations Hasta!  That kind of tenacity is amazing.  Way to go.

weight 134, trying to not eat late...so hard as i find food comforting.

Not doing too good this week.  I'm at 140.6 up one 1lb from last week.  I did have my TOM, and my weight went up to 144.  So I'm happy with the 140.6.  Need to work out more and eat better.  We'll see how next week goes.

I'm willing to bet that another pound will come off in the next day.

I'm a hoping it will............gonna work out like crazy!!!

107.6 but I have to take into consideration I did get my wisdom teeth pulled last friday.  I am hoping it doesn't go up this week though! Heading back to the gym on Monday.

128... the same as I was last week...I had a horrible week.. i ate crap and didn't work out :(... but I made sure that I didn't go over my maintenance calories. I'm still hoping to lose at least 4 lbs in the next 2 weeks before I go home... hopefully I get back on track and it works.. Here's to a better week next week! Laughing

If you crave chocolate, this works for me.  Get some and put it in two bite baggies.  You know the little snack size zip locks.  The I can have 1 of those a day if I think I need it. 

hey I have a question .... yesterday when I weighed at my usual time..in the morning before breakfast.. I was 128... (as I said earlier I haven't really worked out this week so I wasn't expecting a loss..just hoping I didn't go back up to 130) but today, I stepped on the scale..at the same, usual time and it said 126....

I'm definitely not complaining and I obviously want to believe the 126..but I know I couldn't have lost 2lbs in day...which one do I believe?

 

eden, I was up 1lb today even though i was an Innocentyesterday (relatively speaking).  I'm just glad weigh in was yesterday! Wewh!  When I weigh in, my digital scale flutuates on the reading.  What I do is step on and off until I get the same reading 3 times, then go with that.

Thanks Hasta... i tried what u said and the scale says 126...yay....

However...I'm still going to wait until tomorrow before breakfast to confirm it..(hopefully it sticks at 126) and hopefully I can lose more before weigh in next Friday.

Hi everybody.  The chart of p.2 is completely updated for last friday's weigh in's.  Can you believe it's been 4 complete weeks since Ter295 started the group? Where is Ter anyway?  Hasn't been around for a while.

I dropped few out of group tracking.  Those are folks that have not entered a weight since wk1.  I'll probably do this weekly clean up so the list doesn't get moldy.  Next wk I'll drop those that haven't responded since wk2, etc.

We have some new members that have requested to be here.  They are entered with the wk that they start. Welcome you guys.

Stay in touch on here and have a great next few days to gear up for wk 5.
