I'm crying as I'm typing, so please overlook all typos...I'm really not all here.

Our son, who turned 18 last month, has been missing now for 76 hours. He went to work Monday, left work and no one has heard from him nor seen him since. He wasn't having any problems with us, Sunday we all were together and had a great time. He wasn't having any problems with his girlfriend. He did have a bad day at work and we are guessing he went off on a drive too cool down, but we really don't know. He didn't say anything to anybody about where he was going. He was in a hurry to get to work that day and left his wallet home. So he has no money on him nor any access to money. We were able to get into his bank account today and there hasn't been any unusual activity in the last month. We have called everyone he knows and no one knows anything. His girlfriend has called everyone she can think of too.

This is so out of character for him. He has never done anything like this before.

The police are involved and doing all they can. Two different aerial searches were done today and tomorrow there is a ground search going on with volunteers and the police department. He has been listed as a missing person in all 50 states along with a description of his blazer. The police department made up fliers for us to put around town. The top of it says "Missing Person, Suspicious Circumstances".

This is so unreal. This is something that happens on TV, not in real life. The roller coaster of emotions is beyond imagination. The possibilities of what has happened to him and where he might be are endless. To the East of us is a canyon, to the West is desert hills. He could be anywhere. Not knowing anything is the worst.

My husband and our other children are hitting their limits too. Our home is crazy is an understatement. We have had lots of friends and family offer love and support. Meals have been brought in for three days. Our phones are ringing off the hook with well wishers and everyone wondering what they can do.

I'm sorry for going on and on, I just want to cover all the bases, but I'm sure I've missed some things.

Prayers are definitely welcome.

Mostly I'm still in shock. I'm not sure I'll be back on the site for a while. I will post as soon as we know anything.

i think i have an obsession with checking this post. i just have to know if theres any news yet. i am still hoping things will turn out okay and you, your family, and your son are still in my thoughts.

Still hoping and praying here as well.  My heart just breaks for Chris' family and friends.

Sending support and concern to you and your family today.  Ive a 16 yr old.  It hurts to just imagine.  Be strong and keep hope.

since reading he has friends in tx, i can't help but think he might have come to austin for the ACL festival this weekend. you might follow up on that, especially if he's into music. if he has any favorite bands, post them here and i'll spend some time at their stages (and around the fence outside in case he can't afford a wristband to get in the gate) looking out for him.

Thank you all again, I can't even begin to let you know how much this all means to me.

We do have some leads, so today we are hopeful. We have reason to believe he may be in Park City or Logan UT area. The police are following up on those leads so we are crossing our fingers and praying that something will turn up.

I still don't have my computer back yet so I'm not sure when I'll be on next, but I will make sure that you all know if we hear some good news.

PS Our local ABC station interviewed Dave and I yesterday, I looked at their website to see about addinging the link for you to see the story, but I'm not sure I can do it on this computer (it doesn't have what it needs to play the video). Anyway if you go to ABC4.com and scroll down to "more stories" and scroll down to the bottem there is the story about Chris. I haven't seen the website version, but we watched the news last night. It's interesting how much they film for a 20 second clip. We are greatful for their help, we will take anything we can get now.

{{{hugs}}} things seem to be looking brighter. I'm glad to here there are at least leads. Thats gotta be some good news. I pray all is going to turn out fine. Have you been keeping close tabs on his girlfriend? She'll probably hear from him before anyone else. And that tank has got to run out of gas. He's gotta come back soon. Probably a smelly mess and full of guilt, but hes just gotta. I feel it in my gut. {{{hugs}}}

I just watched that news clip and I am hoping that they are getting close.

The plot thickens! (at least there are reports hes ok, but its still amazing how a missing persons can evolve in such different directions! I dont think anyone saw that development coming!)

Like so many others, I am obsessed with checking this thread.  Shannon thanks so much for keeping us posted.  I will continue to pray for your family, for Chris, and for those searching.

This breaks my heart -- and I had both older brothers run away (one gone for six weeks, one for 30 years), so I've seen the pain you are going through.  I pray for a quick and happy resolution.
