| the shorties but wanna be thinnies club! | ||
| Jun 03 2007 22:24 | ||
| Hi! I'm hoping to start a shorties club, probably for women because mostly women are 4'11" - Idk maybe 5'4", it could vary a little i guess. Does anyone want to join? We shorty women (or I should say "petite") need to stick together, especially women who are older (because our metabolism sucks sometimes), but age could vary also, it doesn't matter. Just wondering if there is already a thread for this, been searching but haven't found one yet. Your starting weight could vary also, i'm not picky. Women just have alot harder time dropping the weight (i.e. monthly cycles, moods, water weight, you know...) Me: Just started this website on 5/30/07 Starting Weight was: 121lbs (stubborn pounds) My Height is: 5'0" My age is: 38 My activity level is: Moderate (Light) My Calorie Expenditure is: (around 1700- it varies with exercise) My goal weight is: 110! My goal date is: 8/30/07 My current weight: 6/3/07 is: 119! What else? Oh and my daily calorie intake is between 1200-1400 (1600 on a bad day) Anybody else want to join. I would love support and fellow chat members, kay? thanks! P.S. I know that it only seems like I have a little to lose, but BELIEVE ME, those are the most stubborn last pounds to go! |

Hi everyone!
Welcome to the newbies here. I apologize for not being "here". We went out of town, to the Bay Area and we just got back. the weather was so...............nice! in the 70's. Here in the Central Valley, it's about 108!! (the Armpit of California!) I didn't log in my stats this weekend. Congrats to everyone who is faithfully logging their stats. I am experiencing a serious plateau now. so i am concentrating more on what my body looks like rather than what stupid scale in the bathroom says *gives dirty look towards the bathroom*. I have to say, the weather does play alot into how we eat. my house is nowhere to being "cool", we don't have central air, just a swamp cooler that doesn't function during the day, only at night. we do have box air conditioners in each of the bedrooms, so needless to say, i was eating healthy and really enjoying my meals in the Bay Area. but as soon as i stepped out of the truck here, i lost all my appetite!! i have had no appetite since we came back (a couple of days). barely could eat 1000 cals a day. anywho...........welcome everyone who is new and let's keep posting!! :) |

| Oooh ya had a good weigh today, 110.2, best weigh in in probably 8-10 years. Felt pretty thin this morning too and got two comments (I won't say compliments) on my weightloss yesterday. Sometimes I wonder if I look bad or something b/c people never say "you lost weight, you look great" instead always just say "have you lost weight?" or "you sure are shrinking" etc. Anyway, this morning was a good morning and I plan to keep that motivation going for the rest of the month. Now I just need to up the workouts. | ||

My current weight: 7/12/07 is: 192.7 I am eating between 1200 and 1300 calories. More when I am active. |

Hey, I was reading about some peoples sizes on another post and I would be curious what most of your sizes are. Height seems to play a big deal with what size clothes you wear compared with your weight. I currently wear a size 16 but when I was 125-130lbs I was a size 7/8. I have never been below a 7/8 even at my thinest in high school (when I was in shape). How many of you that are medium or large frame have ever been under 7/8? |
||
| #108 | Jul 12 2007 19:04 | |
|
I'm a medium frame and can fit into some size 6's ... But I don't like the way they fit in regards to jeans (other pants are good though :) ). Darn hips/thighs. So yeah, it's not impossible! Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well! And having a spiffy summer. Though no one asked me, I'm doing alright. I feel like the third wheel with my two best friends as of late (they keep leaving me out). :/ Any one else ever get this (not with a couple, just friends)? |

christalrae I am 5'3" tall with a medium frame. I only ever remember wearing a size 6 Kasper suit. I think the only reason is because (with my experience) I've found that if the clothes are pricier, I can fit into smaller sizes. Anyway, yes, even when I looked great in high school I wore a 7/8. I am currently a 14. duzzie How are you doing today? ;) |

| I'm 5'0" and 128 lbs and wear a size 4 in pants (6 in jeans) and small or medium shirts. | ||

Weigh In Day - Lost 1.6 lbs!
Starting Weight: 128 lbs Current weight: 126.4 My Height is: 5'0" Age is: 35 Goal weight is: 108 After 7 weeks of not losing anything I finally lost! What I did differently: 1. Drank LOTS more water 2. Worked out 5 days instead of 4 3. Had a cheat meal instead of a cheat weekend. 4. Switched to a high quality vitamin and took it faithfully Starting today I will be drinking green tea. I'm going to aim for 2-3 cups a day. I think it will help with my metabolism and even if it doesn't it's still good for me. |

| Good for you, Kerri! I've been curious about the tea thing as well so be sure to post your thoughts on that. | ||

| 22 year old female, about 140 pounds, trying to get down to 120 minimum. You know what's hard for me? Not being able to eat tons and tons of stuff! Currently I burn about 200-300 calories per day, but I can't really burn much more than that because I can't eat much more than 1500 calories per day! Well, 1500 good calories at least... the reason I put on so much weight this past year was that I finally moved out of the house in my senior year of college and put on a belated freshman 15 (except in my case it was more like the freshman 30!). | ||

Wow! Everyone seems so active and losing weight so quickly! I'm 16, so a little younger than the majority of people in the group but still need to lose weight all the same.
I'm 5' 0 and 132lbs I really want to get down to around 95lbs but I couldnt tell you the last time i lost weight, mind you i've been a bit afraid of going on the scales for the last few weeks (i guess that probably doesnt help) So hey here goes, any tips and advice will be gratefully recieved =) |

| I'll definately report on the green tea. Hopefully it will help a bit. | ||

Hey everyone!
I've lost 5 pounds in the last two weeks :) yay me!!!! It better stay off this time. I can't stop dreaming about another 5 pounds off, hopefully it will be noticeable by then. And then another 5 and another 5....eee!!! I think this is a diet I can finally stick to. I don't crave much, and when I do I just take a bite and put it away. Thank goodness for 100 calorie packs- crackers taste like candy now, lol. I'm 5'0, 145, and I wear a size 13 jean. 11's are just a teeeeny bit too tight still. When I was in high school- before I had hips- I wore a size 3...I don't think that will EVER happen again. My goal is a size 7. :) |

been interesting week.....went fishing and found out our german shepherds love catfish...imagine that went absolutely happy along with our two huskys.....everyone was well fed since we had seven fish.....i did bread and fry them but was wondering what is the size of the filet of the calorie of catfish.....some filets are smaller and some larger and maybe should invest in a way to weigh my food....lol....probably help.....
has anyone invested in the bowflex stepper advertised on TV...did you like it? good investment? hiddent costs? just wondering hubby tried one the other day and really liked it....... We were fishing on the Missouri river and really hit somekind of thing that bent our prop and took some pieces out of it...now we shake when we go.......what a day..... weight is stabilized right now but really trying to get down to 140...first goal....right now 157 - 158 i keep wavering back and forth.......waiting for some solidness here......lol |
