I found Slim  in  6  to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned!  I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent.  I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time!  Anyone doing it, or about to start it?  I am ready for the 6 week challenge.  I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works!  I have seen results firsthand!  I need a buddy!

I just got through my first day of SI6. I decided to do it after I got off of work this morning. LOL... I would rather not work out when my boyfriend is home. So, I decided I would while he's sleeping. A couple of days ago, I watched Start It Up to see how it was. I didn't think it looked too hard. I ended up doing Slim and Limber, and Slim and 6 pack that day. Wow, did my abs feel like they had a work out. The funny thing is, I can't really see them yet... This morning I did all 3. Slim and Limber to get stretched out, followed by SIU, and ended with Slim and 6 pck. That was surely a work out. There is a lot of repetition.  I have noticed after doing so many crunches my neck get's really tense. I'm not pulling on it at all though. I don't know... The hardest thing was doing some of the moves in a faster ryhthm. I was given bad knees from my dad's side, so when it was time to bend them a lot, my knees made nice cracking sounds. I wander how they were when I was almost 70 pounds heavier. hmmmm...  Well, I am 5'11 and at the moment 185. I am ready if anyone else is.. Let's do this...  We all could use some motivation. I know it would help me. Yuri, or anyone let me know...

If this is starting up again (noting the last post before linzi7 was in January of 07) I'll be glad to take the challenge, I just got it - and haven't tried it out yet.

Yes, good question. I just ordered mine, should be here in a few days. I need to get back on track myself and some buddies would be good! I've lost 100 lbs so far on my own and have gotten to "comfortable" (hence lazy) in my sz. 8's. My goal is a 4 or juniors 6. :-P

I started the fast start today and will begin Start it up on Thursday.  I bought this about 3 years ago and I lost the meal plan.  I really want to follow it.  I wish there was a way for someone here to share the plan with me, but I'm not sure how that would be possible.

Anyone have suggestions?

I didn't get the meal plan, and anyways I'm already doing pretty well about counting cals, getting enough protein, etc. so I can't help really help you out, unless you're talking about just eating healthier in general, which I'm pretty good at :-)

I just did the Start video, and I was surprised at how much it kicked my butt! I've been doing the Extreme Tae-Bo Workout for about two weeks, so I thought this was gonna be easy-peasy... but I can barely lift my arms now that its over! *embarrassed*

It should have come with your order. When I ordered it 3 years ago, it came with a list of foods from healthy to ones you should avoid. It also had instructions on how to figure out the number of calories needed to burn for your height and weight, etc.

Anyway, I read in earlier posts that someone scanned it and sent it to another member, which was really nice. But, of course, you'd have to have a scanner.

Yeah, I remember when I did SIU for the first time....I was so sore the next day. I gave up after 3 weeks the first time and didn't stick to the meal plan, but I'm committed this time and totally focused. Good luck to you Alexxandra!Smile

I started Sin6 last year and within 2-3 weeks lost about 5 pounds and I am not entirely overweight. I lost a total of 2 dress sizes with RiU only. So, it will tone you, but then when I started BiU it was so tough the routine, I lost interest quickly. Together with watching my diet, I lost a total of 15 pounds, from 139 to 124lbs.

Of course with the hols I put on some back, and now starting RiU again to get myself back fit, I also sometimes do the P90X routines.

Hello everyone!

I would love to start this as a challenge with you all. Have you all already started? R u planning on posting when you do do it? Or whats the plan?

~S

p.s 6 weeks is not a long time to be committed to something so I am up for it!!!

goal125, I borrowed this from a friend, so I don't have it, sorry! :(

and makinitcount, just post when you do it, comments, whatever! It's an old thread, so I would think anything goes.

SO I cheated! I started doing a couple of other workout videos (and doing routines on FitTV) so I feel bad. I'm about to go at it again starting tomorrow.

Good luck to everyone else!

ok I did my 1st day of slim in 6 start it up. Ill probably do that for a week and add the ab workout too before i move on the next one...ramp it up.

felt good, but my legs are a little fatigued...hopefully that will go away in time right?

alexxandra~ what routines do you do on fittv? I love gilad but can never seem to catch him when its on. did do it for a couple weeks straight and could already see a difference in my legs and triceps.

YAY i finally found yall. i have been looking all day for slim in 6 ppl and i couldn't figure out how to use this sight ...(frustration grr). anyways i'm planning on starting tonight and need some ppl who are doing the same workout. my younger brother is totally useless here he says he'll workout with me . HA  he hasn't even done a second of the workout with me. so yayay now i have a lil motivation. i have done 3 days of turbo jam but i want to do slim in 6 first get off the weight then start turbo jam.

I am a shortie.. 5'1" 130lbs and im 19. I feel nasty and am always self conscious about ppl seeing my flaby tummy or my thunder thighs or my ugly bum. i always feel like ppl are staring at me (i know it sounds silly but thats how i feel). it really does a number on my confidence. SOOO MY PLAN IS TO WORKOUT HARRD.

Also does anyone have the 6 day express? my older brother ordered SI6 and when he finished he gave it to me with the resistence band but he threw everything else away earlier. and i want to follow the diets. i think it will be a great motivator to lose up to 10 lbs in a week.

I'll stop typing now. anyways looking forward to the hardwork

makinitcount ~ I do the star workout, body scult, and the belly dancing one on FitTV, and I record everything to my DVR so I never have to miss it! I can find out what time your show is on, I see it in the guide almost every day!

rolly_polly ~ I'm 5'1 too! My GOAL is to get to 130lbs *you're lucky lol*, I'm at 150lbs right now because of pregnancy weight...

And maybe a suggestion about the 6 day express... you can always download the torrent for it, if that interests you... whenever I get hand me down workout videos, I never get the complete set, so I get the torrent and just burn it to a CD.

Anyways... just remember, we are our own self-critic. People aren't looking at you as much as you think, because they're all too caught up in looking at themselves. All I have to do to get rid of those insecurities is listen to MoNique, and in no time I'm strutting around the mall with my head held high and my hips swinging! I love being voluptuous, but I also know I need to lose weight - but I try not to be obsessive about it, because if I am obsessive, after I lose the weight (probably unhealthily if I'm losing 10lbs in one week, that can't be good for your body unless you're really over your healthy weight) I'll go on to obsess about my teeth, and my skin, and my face, etc etc. We're never going to be perfect, so we need to learn how to love our bodies, because if we don't, no one else can love our bodies either.

Alexxandra - well good luck with your plan ur pretty positive so thats always good (maybe you'll rub off on me). you have a baby awww my aunt just had a baby their so yummy and adorable. She is also working to get down but her weight goal is 140 (she is taller than us and her frame is a little bigger but she looks good) but i guess everyones body frame is different. i have a smaller frame and i have never had a baby so i have no excuse. Anyways you said you can download a torent for 6 day express how do u do that?

woooooooooooh 5'1" goooo TEAM

Thanks for replying, that's ok.  I'm using the calorie and burn meters on here so we'll see if that will work for me.  I finished my Fast Start and I'm on my 3rd day of Ramp It Up!  It is a challenge, for sure, a lot more strength training than aerobics.  I guess that's where the diet plan comes in.  I'm less sore everyday.  Keep it up everybody.  Don't give up!

Hi guys!

I am so glad I found this thread. Anyway I am about to start this program this week once the DVDs arrive and after all of the good stuff I have been reading I am really psyched! Anyway, My first question is how important is following the meal plan they suggest, I am being very concious about what I eat already but I don't want to under eat and be too tired to keep up with the work outs.

 Thanks for any advice!

Check out beachbody.com for info on this workout.  I think it's great.  I also plan on doing Turbo Jam when I've completed Slim in 6.
