Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...
I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey.
Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen....
Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide.

nocturn, please dont be upset. I have done so much reading on the subject of diet and nutrition and it all says that WOMEN (lucky us!) have fluctuations in our weight, sometimes for no reason! And do not underestimate the power of that muscle gain! At your size you do not have as much fat to lose, so some days your muscle gain is ahead of your fat loss! Do not give up and do what I would normally do and say..."forget it!!! I might just as well eat all the garbage I want if I am not going to lose!!!" You have been doing great!
Plus, I have no foundation for this thought, but I think you can drink too much water! I have had the same thing happen. If you drank more than normal yesterday, maybe your body just hasnt let it go yet. I use the formula of half your body weight in oz's of water per day! For me that is about 77 oz's!

Carie im with you. lets get out of here and making post into the 140 by end of april and begining of may...we can do it.. i also want to say way to go carie for the no sugar you are stronger than me.. i have to acount it in my food everyday. but its usually icecream or frozen yogurt...
nocturn dont get discouraged, we have all had that problem, you could just be retaining water.. or maybe ur body will have a sudden jump.. just take it easy and relax.. you will get there hey you might wake up tomorrow and it say 149 u never know.. just keep pluggin along.. good luck

I am on my way to Panera Bread to meet a friend for lunch! Wish me luck! I have done my online homework and have chosen a combo Soup and Salad with multi grain bread all for a total of 490 calories! I have logged it in and will still be right around 1500 for the day!
Thanks Hollybelle! I suppose I should clarify though. I still eat yogurt and Sugar free pudding, and plan on a Weight Watchers ice cream for a treat tonight! So I guess I have not been totally upfront here. Just NOOOOOOO cookies, cake, donuts, candy etc....All staples of my previous intake!!!

Thanx for the support guys, just to note, I've been 149 for 3 weeks, I just keep shooting back up to 150 every 3 days or so.
I probably only drink 55oz total a day, not very much, but I try really hard everyday to be constantly drinking.
I don't mind gaining muscle, it's just hard to say, oh I've lost ____ now! Sucks when that number doesn't get any higher after 3 more weeks. I'm positive I'm eating enough, more than enough, and I'm getting 30mins-2hrs of exercise in, 5 days a week.
I don't have a measuring tape sooooooo I'm not 100% if I'm losing inches or not. My clothing does seem to be looser though.
I don't feel like giving up, I just feel like eating maintenance calories and just staying at this weight, since it doesn't seem to matter if I have a deficit =_=;
I just need to keep trusting in the facts, I will eventually see a drop, I just need to have more patience.

ok guys so i have a huge deficit today.. i went to the gym and did my 30 min.. 10 on my stair thing for 100 cal and then some abs and arms and a few extra legs for about 70 more cal, then i will be taking my cardio kickboxing class whichis like another 500 or so cal so that puts me at about 2269 or so burned but i have only eaten about 1200 cal including what i plan to have for dinner i dont think that includes my icecream which is about 200 more cal to add, but is this okay for one day as long as its not a habbit.. i really dont want to have to eat extra if im not hungry..

I'm game for trying to be in the 140s by the end of April. I'm at 155.5 right now though so it might be tight. I'm also going away to Kentucky (Rolex 3 Day Equestrian Event) at the end of this month for a long weekend so hopefully eating out that weekend won't take too much of a toll. We'll probably be walking alot so hopefully that will balance it out and I'm going to try to use the hotel's gym.

Hollybelle, My husband wont use the site, he just works out and eats right and the weight FLIES off! He is a big fan of the "Body For Life" program! Everyone sounds great and game for the big move at the end of the month!
Hollybelle try haveing a fruit shake or smothie or turn your scheduled ice cream into a milkshake with some milk to add a few more calories, but I think you are fine with your deficit as long as you dont do it everyday!
Oh and I am so game to be in the 140's by the end of April. I have been a little out of it and my weight has snuck to 151 (from 148) and I am ready to be back and consistent so I can truly say I belong in the 140's!!

Okay...so up a little again today...blaming it on something...though I don't know what. I had like a 1000 calorie deficit.
Regular workout this am...calories at 1500 (up from my usual 1200-1300) trying to mix it up a bit...

Thank you heidhagen i did add in some peanutbutter to give me a boost before my kickboxing class at the gym so that helped some, but then i only ate one of the meals for dinner, but i think that im ok i am down this morning to 152.2, but i dont want to get to excited since my cal were so low yesturday, but man am i sore today.lol

Well Im finally back down to where I was before Easter, 151 pounds. I just found out yesterday that my 6 month old son will be having surgery on April 24 so yesterday was a bad day for me, I didnt eat a whole lot but I did eat at Culvers for lunch but I was still down today so Im not going to worry about it... just taking things one day at a time.. Great day to everyone...

154 today! Finally seeing some results. What is a good scale to get. I see everyone has ounces instead of just pounds. That might help to moitivate me if I can see th little results also.

PS: last night I put new batteries in my scale, hoping that was the reason for my weight staying the same XD... didn't work fyi..
My scale is a Tanita, we bought it from Costco a longgg time ago, it's electric. I assume it's accurate. I don't care that much if it's a lb off, the important thing is that I can see how much I'm losing by using the same scale.

Switching to a new scale totally sucks!!!!! There is always a difference between scales....I had an old one that just did the nearest lb and then got an electric one and it totally upset me. Anyways, I just got mine at Wal-Mart.
BTW my work just took away internet from all of our workspace computers and now to get online we have to use a community computer....so I won't be able to chat during the day as often. I will have to catch up on the week nights at home....

154 today! Down another 1/2 pound! Yipeeeeeee! I am still trying to get down to the 152 I started with in the first place when I origionally decided to lose weight! On my way to 140's by April!!! Lets do this!!!
