Clean Eating Challenge deejlb
  Apr 30 2007 22:09
Ok, there seems to be a mysterious condition going around that is causing sabotage to our eating. I know I'm not alone here when I admit that my eating this past little while leaves a lot to be desired, causing slight weight gain after such hard work to lose it.

I also know, that I am the same person who was practically flawless in my eating for like almost 90 days straight, so I know I can get ahold of this - who's with me??

There is no deadline for sign-ups, anyone can join at any time!!

All you have to do is check in once a week (at least) & let us know how you're doing. If/when you "cheat", simply let us know & I will restart your start date.

A cheat is defined as whatever a cheat would mean to you personally, whether it be going over your calories, bingeing, not eating enough, too many treats, etc. We all know when we've cheated, so just be honest with yourself

Let's be honest with each other & keep each other eating clean k? The PRIZE to the winner? Well that's easy - weight loss!!!!!!!!! (or maintenance for those at that stage!) Let's do this!

Dee

************************************************

Here's the list of all signed up & the new rules:
(let me know if I missed you)

If you lose your mind & cheat, just let me know. Then you can re-start from the next day. I'll simply unbold your name, along with updating your new start date.

After being clean for a week after a re-start, I'll re-bold your name. So you always have a chance to feel like you are succeeding.

Also, if you just don't feel like you want to partake in the challenge anymore, can you let me know so I can remove your name from the list? Thanks!!

Anyone not checking in for one week (December 25 - December 31) will be removed from the challenge.

Good luck all! People's names in bold have been going the longest or have not restarted for at least a week - way to go!!!!!!!!

sorry I didn't get a post in before midnight just got home and realized that it was monday yesterday, its been a crazy week, can I still be in? if so.... first week down....did real good, even went to the feild days and didn't cheat, walked right by the cotten candy and didn't even think twice about it same with the salt potato stand. I've even lost 11lbs since the 1st of july. they say the first three weeks of any change are the most dificault, so hopefully I can keep up my defences and last the three weeks and beyond. best of luck to all.

Hey hope you all are holding strong! I know I have.  I had a Special K Bar for breakfast (Strawberry one) they are REALLY good I would recommend them to everyone! They only have 90 calories per bar but I think they're kind of high in sugar, the site gives them a B+ so they're not too bad for you, for the taste I'd sacrifice and get the B+.

I did calisthenics for 15 mins last night, I'll admit it might have been some over kill and I'm soar but it was cool to do them again and not feel like I was going to die!

GOOD LUCK ALL!

Hello all,

It's only 10 am and I need to restart on only my second day.  I said I was going to try and eat clean for 30 days - i should have known not to call my ex and ask him why he's such a moron.  Anyway, i sent my  mom some candy in the mail, i stashed the leftovers in my purse to be stored in my freezer later today, well, they've been stored all right - right in my stomach.  I will restart tomorrow and I will attempt to go 7 days.  Instead of going 30 days, i need to go 7 days at a time.

Good luck everyone!  I hope you all are drinking your water.  I drink 16cups a day, i think this is why i am not much heavier than I am currently (203lbs).

ok still clean and needing to go shower we ate at dennys cause we were moving furniture all day  and didn't stop to eat all day I ate from the fit fare menu and was suprised that even with the diet coke and strawberry yogurt granola bar I begged them to stop at cvs and get so my body wouldn't think I was starving again, I managed to be a bit under my cals. I had desert at dennys and I am at 1246/1400 So maybe another granola or a mango before bed. Is there a log for moving?? tuns of cals burnt today I am sure. LOL
#946 deejlb Jul 17 2007 23:04
rtd- i'll put you back on for the 10th of July. Congrats on the 11 lbs!!!

thininside- you can even just make your goal one day at a time. That's working form me right now. As long as you get through today then deal with tomorrow tomorrow. & the more good days you get behind you, the easier it gets to just do it.

mabear- holy crap there better be a category for moving. Try to stuff some meal replacement bars (Zone, vector, etc ) in your car. That way if you find yourself without food, you can at least eat one of those. It works great. Can'tw ait to hear how your 2nd run goes.

Dee,
I need a restart for July 18.  Fell off the wagon...with quite a thud...but I want to keep working at this despite setbacks. (I hate 'em, though!)
I like your suggestion to thininside about dealing with eating one day at a time.  Sometimes it can seem rather daunting, looking at the big picture instead of focusing on the present day and making it a clean eating day.

:)

just checking in...still doing good :-)

#951 deejlb Jul 18 2007 18:44
Still good here & have been at my lowest weight for the past two days. I can't wait to break it (maybe tomorrow) & see 146.something!!

**********************

sugu- I had to change how I looked at the big pic too, and taking it day by day seems at least do-able. Good luck with your restart.

buhri113- welcome!!! I've added you. All you need to do is report in here at least once a week. Let me know if you need a restart on your date & if you ever want to no longer participate let me know too so I can remove you. Good luck!!!

I did quite well yesterday, though I did eat more than usual because I was still extremely hungry after supper, but I still ate healthy... I hope that doesn't mean I cheated...

What a great group! So I'm starting today; I've lost 40 pounds over the last 8 months but have regained 10 back to 205.  My goal is to get to 180 by 2008.
#956 mabear32059 Jul 19 2007 13:25

Dee, NOT CLEAN :(((  ...please restart me for tomorrow.

Yesterday I couldn't sleep (I had napped too long in the afternoon) and turned to wine, then milk and cookies.  It was basically an out-of-control day, food-wise.  Today: I bowed in to my long-standing baked goods craving, which I should have done yesterday and gotten it over with... I ate an entire package of an almond paste cookie, dipped in chocolate.  I must say though, the sugar high is very nice and I haven't over-eaten beyond these cookies.  No idea on cals, but let's estimate 300 grams = 1500 calories, sound about right?  The no. one ingredient is sugar, followed by almond paste, and then egg white and chocolate and some other garbage.  But it's yummy garbage, at least.  Thanks, Dee!  Nancy
