| Anyone doing SLIM IN 6? | ||
| Jan 11 2007 16:13 | ||
| I found Slim in 6 to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned! I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent. I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time! Anyone doing it, or about to start it? I am ready for the 6 week challenge. I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works! I have seen results firsthand! I need a buddy! | ||

I'm not sure yet. I bought turbo jam, I might alternate BIU, turbo jam and jogging on nice days. I dont know where your from, but here in quebec, winter is coming in few weeks, we have to be outside as much as we can!
One thing is sure, I dont want to do another 6 week in a row of BIU... I'm afraid to get bored if I dont do something else. I'm not sure to get started on sunday because I'm so sick. I might wait another few days... |

WK2, D5 - I had to shorten my workout today - I overslept. I did the band workout and the SI6 Pack workout, and hope to get in an extra 20minutes of the workout tonight. Idgy - Fantastic job! You're almost in the home stretch, and will be fitting into those skinny jeans in no time! Is BIU much more difficult than RIU? I'm thinking of starting it over the weekend, when I have no excuse to shorten my workout. I'm going to try the weights tomorrow, and see if they are easier to handle than the bands. Lgutu - I got my SI6 from Ebay as well, and spent about $20 less than it cost on the infomercial. I was a bit concerned about spending the cash on something that I wasn't sure would work for me, but I figured it cost less in time and money than a month or two at a health club. Thanks for the input everyone! |

Happy Friday! dan120-Winter is just around the corner here in Indiana. We're still hitting 70's which is nice. 12 weeks of BIU would be unbearable! But it's such a good work out, maybe every other day or so so keep the muscle tone, then swith to something more fun to boost the cardio?!?! I think that's what I'll do when I'm done with my 6 weeks. Sound like you should get healthy again. You could start with just the sit ups. If your not well enough you'll get dizzy and fall and break your neck Chic-Life gets in the way sometimes, at least you did some of it. Let me tell you, I think BIU is a killer. It is so hard, sometimes I don't feel like I'm getting a good work out becuase I'm so tired, but I am starting to see results. I sometimes stop the tape for just a few seconds to catch my breath, then start again without missing anything. The weird thing is, I think it is getting harder the more I do it! HAHAHA I wish she would have added in a couple more times here and there to get a drink of water. It may not be as hard for you, let me know what you think. Have a good weekend everyone! |

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I have started the SI6 program. I'm only four days into it. So far it seems to be a good fit for me. I feel my muscles a little more each day, but not to the point they hurt. I have read some input that some of you have posted. I just want to work my way back into looking and feeling good. I want to be able to look at myself in the mirror and not be shocked in horror. Does anyone have any extra advice, tips or etc on what helped them? Thanks!! |

Just started the program last night (after dropping the t.v. on my leg ~ got it hooked up with the DVD player and was bound and determined to start it - regardless). Leg is bruised real bad, but I felt good enough to do the start up video...did it this morning and heading home to do it again tonight.....I'm a little sore, but so far, I feel great and look forward to intensifying the workout with the bands in the coming days/weeks. The start up routine is great for the morning workout when you are limited on time...I will use that every morning. |

Wk3 D3 - Hi everyone - I finally started BIU yesterday - wow! It's a bit more intense than I'd expected - I was tired just 15 minutes into the workout! I had to take quite a few breaks, but made it through almost the whole hour. The double-arm shoulder press is a bit awkward with the band, so I'm picking up the weights tomorrow. Today was my much-deserved day off, but since a day without exercise feels strange now, I did the SI6Pk and slim & limber this morning. I took my measurements again this weekend, and lost almost an inch in each thigh (that is, if I'm measuring correctly!). I didn't think I would actually lose inches this quickly - it's great motivation to do the whole BIU tomorrow. It's great to see all the new names. My best advice is to do the Slim & Limber, or any stretching, after each workout - it really helped prevent muscle soreness. |

| flagirl - BIU is the "Burn it Up" workout of SI6. It follows SIU (Start it Up) and RIU (Ramp it Up). You may see these shortcuts throughout the thread. Hope you're enjoying your workouts! | ||

Thanks Chic0926....I am in my 5th day of SI6 Start it Up...have been doing it in the morning and the evenings. I love the slim and limber and do it after each workout....my butt and thighs are killing me but dang it feels good!!! I clicked on the BIU last night to see what it was all about and when I read the disclaimer at the bottom that said "do not start this until you have mastered start it up", I went back. No way I'm getting into that right now....I'll try it next week. My boyfriend says he already sees results (he's so sweet) , but I don't...I told him to throw the scale away or get it out of the closet so I don't see it every morning...I'm not as concerned about the weight as I am about toning and feeling great. I've been watching what I eat also, so hopefully by next week (my second week), I'll start seeing more results.Thanks for all the positive messages!!! They help! |

| I just started Slim in 6 this week-- I love it! I'm still in the early stages but already I've started using the resistence band when I'm watching tv at night. My body feels great. I can't wait to see how I'll look after 6 weeks! | ||

Hello all--I've been out for a few days. We went on a short vacation. Really messed up my SI6 workouts though. So I've missed 3 days and my diet has been way out of wack. So today I have to get re-motivated to start again. Before I left I was about half way through my 5th week and I had lost 7 pounds. (just realising I had lost 7 pounds helps motivate me). I know I probably put back on 2 pounds over the long weekend. I should be starting week 6 tomorrow. Instead of worring about that so much, my new goal is to loose 7 more pounds by Thanksgiving. I think I can do it. I plan to do my BIU this evening after work. Once you stop for a few days it is really easy to keep skipping but I want to get back to where I was and loose more so I will do my best to PUSH PLAY tonight! Good luck to all the new 6ers! Please post your thoughts and feelings on the program. Let me know what is working for you. I'd love to hear what some of you are doing for diet plans... |

Is anyone still doing SI6 Or did we all get burned out? I'm still doing parts of the work out along with other work outs. Trying to loose about 15 pounds. Hoping to drop 3 by Thanksgiving.... Any suggestions? |

Still doing it and it feels great!!! Most mornings, I do the start it up and that jump starts my metabolism and then at night, I do the more intense workout (Ramp it Up). As long as I'm doing something every day, I feel great!!! The Ramp it Up has been difficult, but I'm hangin' in there and sweatin' my @$$ off. I will stay on this program until I've mastered it. I'm starting to see a difference in my abs, butt, legs and in my energy level. My appetite has also increased I believe because I'm burning a lot of calories working out. I'm eating sensibly and that has helped. I'm staying away from as many carbs as possible and trying to do more protein. Laying off alcohol also does WONDERS!!!! I got into a pair of jeans last week I haven't worn in 2 years :-)

Well, after I sent that message and got home that night, I got sick with a chest cold I was laying in bed yesterday, rolled over and happened to scratch my side (had an itch) and realized that the rolls were not there like they used to be |

Oh man. I've stopped Si6 because my knees just went... horrible. I don't know why but everything I do with it makes them pop and eventually hurt. It killed my drive to do anymore and instead I'm going to start doing 45 minutes of belly dancing a day. Well. learning to belly dance.
I hope to go to a doctor soon and get the knee thing worked out. D: I loved that video! It got me from a size 18 to a 14! I want size 10, dangit. |
