Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...

I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey.

Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen....

Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide.

Hi guys, I haven't posted in a while, wanted to wait until the end of the week to weigh myself again--but anyway, I feel like some people need some picker uppers!

perfidia you should low-sodium salt and vinegar chips. From what I understand they are low sodium and get most of their flavor for the tangy vinegar....

irish I am with you! somehow one day i was looking atmyself and realized in the last four years I somehow gained 20 pounds! i really hope you are able to succeed! and me too. I think counting calories--making sure you eat more whole foods, cutting out things like soda and starbucks lattes should help. If you want to try you can do the "LEARN TO RUN" thing on the fitness forum---check it out. I'm trying to do it too, am on week 2 in the plan...

hey guys sorry i havent posted in a while i have been  in a really poopy mood, i like everyone else wish i could wake up in the moring and see the scale go way down. but im pulling myself up and out of this funk.. i hope all of have been doing well the past few days.
5'6 153 pounds...feeling so so today. I have a big zit right between my eyeballs today. I'm pretty excited about that.... grrr..

trying to stay motivated i get bored sometimes at the gym on the ellipitical need to change things up a bit..

I've been doing the homemade smoothy thing in the morning and that seems to be keeping me full until lunch...
Holly: You can do this!! I know it gets frustrating! We all feel that way sometimes. But, keep truckin' along and you WILL lose. Maybe find a new exercise to do a few times, or make a great song list to work out with...I just made a new playlist on my ipod and it totally gets me pumped.  Just drink that water and feel better soon!! You are doing great!! :o)

ckwski: what kind of smoothies are you making? I am getting bored of the strawberry blueberry ones I make...

lol.. seems like this happens every week, I'm 151 today.  It's probably due to sodium, but I drank water like a mad woman yesterday to counter it, STILL wasn't enough to keep me from gaining 2lbs of water weight. Poo >=0

Feels like I'll never get into the 140s! I seriously feel like I'm losing .2 a week, which I guess is still progress...
Nocturne- I know the feeling.. today I am 152.2...and yesterday I was 153.2...LOL I know its sodium.. but what the heck.. I know the weight will come off slow this week because the weather is cold and crappy and I hate walking when its cold outside and my work out videos are boring!!

carie87- I live in wonderful Illinois.. ;-) one day I have the air on and that same afternoon the heat on...LMAO.. the temps. are so weird over here! Just kidding.. but it feels that way sometimes...!

And to everyone else who may be in a slump.. keep on moving.. we all can do this! Its hard now but we will all love the end result!!!!!! :-) :-)

Well the goods news is that I lost 3 lbs, so I am now at 154.

As for finding low sodium chips not gonna happen. I have been really good at walking passed that isle and going straight for the mixed nuts in the bulk section with out salt.

Getting out of the 150's is not going to be easy like it was getting out of the 70's and 60's (for me it was). I know I have to work harder because I have started to plateux.

everybody gets frustrated, the only thing you can do is work through it.. i know its hard, i have to keep pushing pushing pushing, and even when i fall back and i am upset about it, i still keeeeeeep pushing...  must lose this weight, must lose this weight..  everybody is doing great, you are here, you are posting your frustrations, you are trying to do everything you possibly can to be HEALTHY :) you CAN do it :) i know you can :) I am living proof that hard work does eventually start paying off :)  keep up the good work guys :) and those who are having a hard time of it.. just keep trying :) quitters never win, and you are allllllllll winners :)

Yippee!  Weighed in at 155.8 this morning which is my lowest since starting in January at 161.  I know it doesn't sound like a lot since January but I was bouncing around 158-160 for months!  I was not trying very hard...I stepped up the workouts a bit, cut back the calories to 1200 or so...and I guess that is what it took.

I just need to stick with it for a while now.  Saw this in another post and it's my motivation for the day!

hi hibiscusflower well i say you being on here is a huge step, 13 feels liek so long ago especially since i have a 12 yr old in my house.;  ) i will say dont starve yourself it will get you no where because eventually you will eat and you will gain it all back.. i know first hand, i have been on the heavy side my whole life and it wasnt untill my 20's i finally figured out what it felt like to be thin.. or thiner anyway, my best advice it to start slow maybe cut back on the pop or like me i love sweet tea so i only have it everyonce in a while, and maybe work in a walk before school with your mom, have you asked her to help you at all, or do  a good stetch in the mornign and some crunches, anything to get your body moving in the morning as for me its my 2 yr old..i hope soem of this helps, but really cuting and back not out will help you  eat 2 peices of pizza instead of 5 or what ever.. good luck. : )

so now i have to tell a big fat secret today was sooo bad i went to my daughter daycare egg hunt today and stayed for a whlie then droped of goodies, but picking up today a  bag of jelly beans oh my.. im so bad i probly ate my cals in them today.. so the other bad part is thats all i have eaten today is jellybeans... man my body is probely going bonkers with all the sugar... but my friend and her husband are coming over tonght since they didnt make it tuesday and we are gonna go for a walk and the guys are going to grill burgers so i will get some food in me.. but man how did the day go by and i not eat and totally pig out on jelly beans.. man. well theres my rant for the day.. bad me..eerrr

hope everyone else is doing bettr than me.. and im also taking friday off do to good friday and the schools being closed... so i hope you all have a great weekend and a happy easter if i dont get back on here before monday..

I got a new scale and it ends up I am actually 151.4 not really in the 140's like I thought. I am sure this one is more accurate so here I am.

Not feelin' good about this. I know I probably lost the same amount b/c I probably started higher than I thought. But still I am a bit discouraged....so I ate a lot of mashed potatoes and later some ice cream ( I am a sucker for blue-bunny chocolate). I think I need a smack too lol
Smack me too! I did GREAT all day, than got home and ate 6 banquet chicken tenders!! BAD GIRL!!!
XD, I had a 900 calorie mondo burrito for lunch AND a 100 calorie soda, zomg.  But it's okay, I'm going on the elliptical for an hour today, so I even get to have a pretty big dinner. ^^ Huzzah!

Bad news is I'm bloated +2 lbs =\ at least I know it's water weight, go TTOM >>;
