I have the same issue. WIth the roommates and food. My roommate 'claims' to be a health food nut. Yea right. Look in our fridge and you will see chocolate, pies, little debbies, ice cream bars, juice cocktails, soda, just junk in general. when i point it out to her, she tells me she doesn't eat them that often... yet she buys them every week? whatever lol. It's easier for me to not talk about her horrible eating habits to her and ignore her when she talks about how 'fat' she is (she's 128lbs, and 5'7"). Needless to say, I don't crave that junk food anymore and juice cocktails always make me sick anyways.
heyyy i'm 5ft3 123lb and i want to be 112lb by July 10th (:!
11lb to gooo!

Thankfully I haven't noticed in myself any of the effects of artificial sweeteners touted by scaremongerers on other sites I visit. Switching to diet is what I did when I first started losing weight, it hasn't slowed me down so far. I know I overeat when I'm being too lax, and I know that's what makes me gain XD.
I'm allergic to aspertain, or else I'd be all over diet soda. I have my AZ green tea, thats ALL I drink. I know it has caffeine in it, but not much I don't think. I'm allergic to caffeine too. It makes me woozy. Friends actually bring me 2 green teas when they know I'm going to a party with them because I will drink 2 and be tipsy, almost drunk-like. It's quite funny. Aspertain makes me fall asleep and make me dizzy. NOT fun. I hate being such an allergy
. When I stopped drinking soda, I was drinking just water, trying to be healthy. My god I thought I was going to kill someone. Then I decided to go back to AZ green tea (I stopped drinking it when I was drinking Pepsi religiously). Now life is better, I'm drinking about 64oz I'd say, so thats good... right?
Aw, don't get me wrong ^^ I know some people have bad reactions to it, I was saying more the cancer-blindness-etc effects that people say it will cause in humans but strangely enough it hasn't been shown to... XD.
My boyfriend really likes that AZ stuff. Which is rather odd, but I suppose that means it must be good; that kid is the kinda guy they market MD Game Fuel to.
So is it just aspartame you're allergic to, or splenda (sucralose) as well?
As for the good-to-oneself discussion; Haha, the best thing I've been doing for myself is staying on aspirin for the past couple of days. Probably won't need it anymore, just the first couple of days are quite painful. But otherwise; I've tidied my room some, and have been really good at avoiding some urges (like when I open the freezer for my frozen vegetables and there sits two pints of ice cream, two boxes of popsicles and three M&M ice cream cookies.). If I feel not-up-to-snuff already, no need to make myself feel bad with empty calories I didn't really need or even want (wanting something without wanting it, it's odd).
Johgar; well done on being down another 3lb, goodness, we've barely had the chance to get started!
Jessicakait; ^^ I started CC at 123! (I'm technically down from 135, but I maintained at 125 for awhile before starting to lose again). Welcome to the group!
I'm in to. I am on similar forums, but I didn't make the weight by the date,:) so I'm going to try this one. I do need ALOT of motivation, tips, tricks etc. I have 7-10 pounds to go.
Height: 5'7''
CW: 145.2 lbs
GW: 135 lbs, but 138 is cool.
theashster: I know, isn't yoga the best for tension relief!
Actually, in general i have been having a really hard time these past few months with my cycle. ovarian cysts have been making my hormones CRAZY. I started going to an acupuncturist and drinking herbs. I swear I feel 1000000x better. I am Pmsing now but it is minor. Before-I really could of either jumped off a cliff or pushed someone. Working out helps my moods so much.

yay! I'm not alone! it is sad that I'm getting kind of a vicious satisfaction from the fact that I'm losing weight...and she's gaining? (she claims to be 205, but said the doctor's said she was 218...and I think the doctor was more on the money) I mean, one night for dinner she had brown rice with provolone cheese melted over it, lil smokies with bbq sauce, and then chocolate covered strawberries...any wonder she had to call in sick the next day?
By the way...I caved and ate 2 cookies last night (which, by the way THEY cooked)...they were sooooooo good! ahhhh. I did make myself get up and get in my 30 mins of cardio this morning even though I was soooo tired! Hopefully that compensates a lil? Kay...done with the roommate rant for now, I'm sure you all will hear more later! haha
I am proud of myself though, cause I'm going out to dinner tonight with my old roomie and a friend, and i've already scoped out the menu (Chili's) and picked something off the guiltless grill. wooo
thats good! i heard cysts are aweful! but thats good you have a regimine that works for you! i hope it continues to! lol. cant say ive ever wanted to push someone off a cliff but ive felt like jumping off one haha. i usually get these debilitating cramps and a migrane oh man!! lol
but as soon as i am done with it this weekend i will be posting my weights regularly again- once i start picking up. ive been on a plateau for about 3 weeks. but i havent gained so it's not too bad!
lol yea, i rant about my roommate all the time.. she's not gaining, unfortunately, but i have to hear about how fat she is all the time and how she goes psycho on her boyfriend all the time about it.. even thought shes like 128lbs or so and is 5'7". blah. i love her as a friend, but i can't stand her as a roommate lol. oh well i guess. Oh! i'm down to 145 again. yay me. and i can feel the 144 coming on! lets hope that the scale loves me tomorrow morning. i have to work the karaoke show tonight, so i'm not gonna get much sleep, maybe 7 hours, so yea...
Has anyone got an answer or have a similar experience?
So, Today I feel pretty good. I have been working out since Jan. and there were some weeks I only went 1x some times I missed and sometimes I went 4. But I went shopping last night and even though I am retaining water weight I feel like my body is becoming toned. My Cellulite has diminished about 50% from where I was in Jan. and I am starting to see my collar bone (kinda). I definitely feel that my mussels are firmer.
My question is... If we are working out and building mussel, then how does the weight go down? I know I have lost weight but the scale doesn't really reflect that very much. Can it be mussel that is making the scale read about the same each week? I just measured my inches last week, as well as my fat% so I can use that to go by. Anyone know the ratio of mussel verse fat?
Why am I obsessed with what a scale says? Why can't I just go from how I feel? doesn't work that way.
Im's def in
5'3, 139 & not budging, looking to be about 125 by end of July, and 120 by mid september!
welcome fifeji.
those were my numbers. I am 5'-3 1/2ish and I was 138, now I am 124/125 ) and working on 115.
you can do it!
CW: 256.4

Thats like 10.4 pounds, but yeah, to be in the 40's again would be a dream. Ideally I want to go down to 180 but thats going to take a bit longer than a 6 weeks :P

Hello, I go through the same thing. I am starting to get more discouraged. My scale has been going between 160-162 for forever now. I want to get down to atleast 150..BUT..this morning I tried on a "little number" that my boyfriend had gotten for me about a year and a half ago. It looked WAY better. My problem area is my stomach under my belly button..But I have lost and inch here 5 inches there. I hate the scale too but I get on it every morning...But when you put something on jeans, dresses, what ever that you have not worn in a while or ever. You feel great..That should be enough???????

That is my area too! I have never been pregnant and you would think I had a baby. But, the good news is that I was told that this is the last fat to go.
I have to admit, I see it going away. I am not kidding. I just keep thinking... tomorrow my tummy will be smaller, and more toned! Then a week later I see the difference. By seeing that small difference, is the only thing that gives me hope. NOT THE SCALE. I think we have to remind ourselves that everytime we feel a positive thing like- putting on clothes that once didn't fit, seeing the difference even though it may seem small it is a huge roll with getting to our goals. We have to take baby steps and we have to acknowledge our baby steps.
Screw the scale. The scale can be wrong and it can discourage us even though we put in hard work I think getting on it everyday is a bad thing- only because it may discourage you. I can only loose about a pound a week. what good is getting on the scale each day for someone in my shoes? Some people loose 5 pounds in a week, so seeing the scale going down each day for them is their baby steps.
I agree SCREW THE SCALE!! LOL. I have had two kids 15-11 and 2 c-sections. I dont look prego or anything I just have a little pooch..The rest of my body is toned, I have an atheltic build and look great standing up or laying down..HAHAHAH...I do crunches (they work for me) atleast every other day and walk 2 or more miles a day. I also lift weights (to tone not bulk) and have an excersize ball..I wish I could jog/run but my back cant handle that. Always have had back problems.. I was told that I would never have a flat stomach because of the c-sections but I am gonna sure try to shrink it...I think I may have a little bit of a loose skin prob..just like a pinch and a half....We all just got to keep up the good work and keep positive.....
cool! Keep it up,.sounds like you do A LOT!
