***50-70 lbs. to Lose Club!*** nikebowler
  Feb 03 2008 03:21

Hey everyone! I decided to make a group for those who need to lose anywhere from 50 to 70 lbs. I think if we do weigh-ins once a week (whatever day works for each person), we can all keep each other motivated. It is possible for most people who join this group to lose mostly all of the extra weight by the end of 2008! We can all use tomorrow as our first weigh-in. Who's with me Smile?!

This is the form we can use:

Starting Weight:

Goal Weight:

Last Week:

Current Weight:

Weight Remaining Until Goal:

I am back up this week. At least I am consistant. I have been on this plateau for four months now and I cannot seem to get off of it. I have been trying this week to eat more calories and still keep up my 4 times a week to the gym. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I know we all go thru this but I want off the level spot now.

Here is acopy of my analysis for the past month. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Hey phinman. Try cutting your fat intake to around 20 percent and add an extra 15 minutes of cardio to your workout. If that doesn't work let me know I have more ideas. I try to keep my fat intake between 20 and 22 percent and so far I haven't stopped losing. I keep adding different things to my workouts also. Just change things up. I also eat a lot of fish and only eat red meat once a week so I am getting more good protein and good fat. Also if you drink soda cut them out completely. My first 10 pounds was soda weight. That includes the diet soda because of the sugar derivitives. (sp) Good Luck and keep trying. Melissa

Hi!  I would love to join too!  I used to be on this site alot back last summer and I did really well.  But, once I started working again and STOPPED counting calories, I put most of my weight back on! I just started counting caloires again yesterday and I am looking forward to getting back to where I was.  I look forward to making a few friends along the way.  Good Luck to each of you!

Thanks lissy28083, I will cut the fat intake and see if that helps. Right now I am doing cardio for 35 minutes twice a week and then 45 minutes twice a week with 45 minutes of weights. I went back and looked at what I was eating when I started this a year ago (when I was losing really well) and compared to what I am doing now. I can make a few tweaks and try and become more stringent since I have become somewhat lax about little things. I do like my 1 diet pepsi every other day or so but I will try and cut them out again. (I did in the past for two weeks with no change so I started again). Thanks again for the input. I 'll keep you posted.

I've been on here for a couple of weeks just getting accustomed to everything.  I've been working on my calorie intake, but it's still quite a struggle for me.  I live at home and don't really have much say in what is in my fridge. :)  But I'm trying.

Okay, last week I weighed in, but I didn't have time to get on the internet to put everything down.....

So for Feb 24th

Start:  257

Goal Weight:  200 ( or more)

Last Week:  238

Current:  238

Weight Remaining: 38

I did not lose any weight, but I also did not gain, so I guess that is a good thing, even though I would have liked to have lost, although considering the horrible food that I ate and all the stress that I went thru for the week, I am happy to know that I didn't gain any weight.  Maybe next week (tomorrow) will be better.  I would go ahead and weigh in, but i am trying to stick to the same time same day kind of thing.  I don't know if that really works, but that way I don't forget when I am really supposed to weigh in.  Hope everyone does well this week, and hopefully I will be better about having time to get on the computer.  Sorry about that everyone.

Yesterday was not much better than last week, posting on here really does help because I have to make myself accountable and I can't write it down and nobody else see it, it is getting me motivated, because it is proof that I am not doing what I am supposed to do to lose the weight I need to lose.  Hoping to do better next week.

Starting Weight: 257

Last week: 238

Current Weight:  239

Weight Remaining: 39

Total Weight Loss: 18 lbs.

I know that I have come a long way since Christmas, and I need to remember that I have succeeded quite a bit.  But I have been doing horribly with my food intake and not so good on my exercise, so I have to step it up a bit, it is going to get warm and I am going to be mad if I don't keep busy and get rid of this weight.  Thank you everyone, for getting me motivated, glad I joined this group.  Hope everyone has a good week.
