Hey all - I just found this thread. I've been on CC+ for a couple months now. Had great progress at first but hit a road block when the holidays came (a.k.a. I ate way too much). My starting weight was 315 and my current weight is 299. My short term goal is 280 and my long term goal (for now) is 180.

The progress of everyone here is really inspiring, good job all!! :-D

I started at 300 pounds, then dropped to 292 now I am back up to 306.5. I am just starting my new healthy eating plan. 1600 calories a day, broken up by the different food exchanges. My problem is no exercise, which I hope to change, and I either eat nothing or I stuff myself. My goal is to hit 200 by December 31, 2008.

As of yesterday.....397!!! CoolCoolCool

I touched 392 before this weekend, but lost it due to family get togethers.  back on track now!!

Jenn, way to work off those holiday calories.  Welcome Leah and Jennifer!  Duke, hope your loving these below 400 weigh ins - I know I am! 

Ive tweaked the OP to focus on 2008 year end.  I'll be contacting those whove posted to welcome everyone along who's interested.  I intend to do a monthly update although would love hearing all progress along the way.

I'll keep original start weights but use current weights to work from for the year end.  Great things are ahead!

I am still at 276. My Dec 31, 2008 goal is 190! :)

Ive alphabetized the list and added goals, including yours denise.

I realize not everyone who posted intended to be put on this so will adjust it accordingly by feedback.

I may have missed info or got it incorrectly in the OP so if you reading this and notice something, please let me know

Weighing in as I do every Thursday but having done so Mon for year end, not expecting too much :D

Wow, good loss Danielle.  Im dropped a bit since Monday with 362.5. 

Shooting for Feb 1st or the more recent one before that for a Feb update for our list.  I think it will be easier to update monthly and reinforce in a month what we've accomplished. 

Everyone's been sent a pm this morning requesting whether they'd like to participate.  So far six responses and all are on board to continue the thread to a trimmer 2009 new years eve.

Hit 318 yesterday. I ate too much over the holidays but am back on track. I so badly want to get out of the 300's. Mini goal is 299 by V Day in Feb.
Hery train - thinking you can make that goal train, with some focus.  Looking forward to what we can all do by February.  Im setting myself up for 2-1/2 lbs a week - think I can do better but not every week shows a good loss so allowing room for success and that would put me at 355 by 1/31.

Morning of running around today.  For my low mobility, the exercursion should do me good.  Running out of TV dinners which I know most shy from but they do help supplement my non cooking lifestyle  Just know how important having the needed foods on hand to stay on course.

Shooting for a great February and having it to keep me on the straight and narrow, and hoping your efforts are being rewarded! Small victories and large victories are all victories!

Ive got my walk path mapped by car for mileage.  Granted Im walking with a crutch for length which is still short but planning on progress and hopefully stronger legs that require less dependancy on the crutch. 

Funny when Im walking how it hits me - one thing to talk about it and another to do it.  When I feel the pressure in my legs and back, I keep reminding myself the idea is to build up a tolerance.  Like a pseudo physical therapy so in normal life walking isnt such an issue.  Still very early but any progress could really benefit my quality of life.

I hit 318 but had slacked off for a week. Changes for the New Year

o Back to the Healthy Choices at Lunch after a three week break

o Goal is gym five times a week instead of three

o Started new weight lifting program at gym

o Belt is in next to last hole so I decided to see if I'd dropped enough inches to get into size 48 jeans relaxed fit instead of size 50 loose cuts...much to my delight I had! Ended up getting a new pair of jeans. Also discovered that the old 3x shirts are too big now and 2x are about right.

Mini goals are

o 315 as that's the half way point to goal for me.

o Hitting 306 because that's the 100 pounds lost mark

o Hitting 299 because that's out of the 300's.

All I have to do is get 18 pounds of to make all three goals.

Now for the fun part I want to do this by Feb 14...

Guess I better stay motivated!

BTW - Have to share this one lady at the gym has went from the 325 ish to 175 ish for a total of a 150 pounds lost. Took her two years but that was pretty inspiring to learn about.
Reading all of ya'lls posts this morning has really helped to inspire me. I thank you for that. I am back on eating healthy, but I need to work on my portion sized. UGH! You mean 3 cups of Brown Rice with Onions and Mushrooms is too much? That's what I'm talking about. It was very healthy but way too much of a good thing. Add some meatballs on top of that, I believe I went over the top on portions. Oh well, today is a new day, and I have just had 24 oz of water and 8 baby carrots. Back on track.

My initial mini goal is to be down to 311 by January 15th. Think I can make it?
Youve my blessing Pam, especially being concious now with portions.  I weighin Thursdays at a clinic but January 15th being mid month is an interesting point to see where we are prior to updating Feb 1st. 

Train, I think mini goals are amazing = they really keep me mentally on track.  By Feb 14th is about 1% a week which is what I shoot for normally (although I set my goals lower - weird but it does create more victories in a low expectation kind of way LOL).  Heres to no plateaus and steady losses!!

So Jan 15 360 and Feb 1st 352.5.

That's why I picked January 15th, because it is middle of the month. So I can see at that point how the trend is going. Since I weighed January 1st, I will be weighing in on Tuesdays this month. That is another reason for January 15. It is 2 weeks into the month. Then in February, I will be weighing in on Fridays, because February 1st is a frieday. I know, I'm weird. :>)
