Hi everyone!
I would really like to hear from people who have lost 20 pounds within 10 weeks or have good suggestions on how to do this! I am 21, 5'3'' and about 140-145 and would like to be 120-125 in 10 weeks. Can I do this? And if you have done this, how many calories and what kind of exercises did you do? Thanks everyone!!

7/11- 115.5lbs
Unfortunately due to my vacation filled with plenty of BBQ's....I gained .5lb. It's at least not as bad as I thought it would be...but still a big let down that I gained. Thank goodness I worked out a few days during my vacation or else I would have seen a bigger gain. Well now I have to work even harder and hope to see a loss next week. Wish me luck...and hope everyone had a good week!!! Remember any loss is still a loss!!
Thats great! only .5 lb?? it will probably even boost your metabolism to give a nice loss this week. i am going to wait to weigh in until tomorrow when i get my new cast on so it will be more accurate...
134.2 from 135 last week...was pleased that i lost at least a little since i am forced to be low key with exercise
Hey Chacha...at least you lost and didn't gain!!! Keep working hard and do whatever little exercise that you are able to do! You'll be fine. Dedication is the biggest part in losing any weight and you definitely have it!

7/18- 113.6lbs!!
I LOST 1.9lbs!! I am very excited considering that I was still worried that I was still going to see more gain because of my vacation. But I guess all that jumping around in the pool for hours a day helped me out lots! 8.6lbs to go!! Hoping to do it before summer ends. Hope everyone else is having a great week! And if you did gain, don't fret...just see where you went wrong and work hard!!
Wow~you are doing so good loving...I am impressed. You're in those last 10 pounds and still losing steadily, that's awesome! i am down to 132.8 from 134.2 last week. Finally a little more than a pound...and that's my 10 pound mark...woot! Let's keep truckin!

ah, i'm sorry kla...i know that feeling...hang in there! it is most definitely a new week! isn't it awesome that we get to make new choices every single day!
I didn't exactly lose 20 in 10 weeks, but I lost 16 in 8 weeks, which I think is close enough xD
I just ate about 1250-1350 cals a day, except maybe every other weekend where one day I would eat about up to maintenance, or a little under. I did half an hour of cardio about 4-5 times a week, and walked about 1 1/2 hour every day. By the way, I am 5'2" and I was about 130 when I started.
Thanks for the encouragement! Thats impressive in that amt of time considering you were that close to your goal weight!
Yeah...Congrats Chacha!! Way to go...I know the last 10 pounds are usually the hardest to lose...so we have to stay strong and keep on truckin'. Don't think it's going to be as easy as before to lose the weight especially since I am heading towards the BIG 5 pound mark which is usually where I give up!
Kla...I know that feeling too...just stay strong and keep working hard! Any loss is still a loss and that is fantastic!! It is a new week and a great chance to start new again and be stronger than before!! Hang in there and we're here for support!!

I lost .6 pound which I am very happy with because I haven't been to the gym once this week because of car problems. I have been trying to stay strict with my food this week and it's helped lots! Hope to have a much better week next week. Hope everyone else had a good week! Keep working hard!!
130 from 132.8 last week...yay!
bet you all thought i went away huh? well i didnt. im still keeping chart. and so far, its pretty impressive. as i said before, this is wedding.christening.bday. shower season. but i am seriously amazed at myself. my goal for the last two weeks was not to "count' calories. i was going to see how good i could do on my own. when i tell you that i was at 139.8 on july 11. I weighed in today at 131 about even ( i broke my digital scale, tell me that wasnt a self esteem nightmare). I am at a total of 12 lbs ( not as good as chacha with 13) but when i had to start putting the belt on the next loop i actually started to cry, like all out, 5 year old, give me my damn lollipop cry. MY bf actually got scared, thought i was upset, and offered to buy me a new belt. funniest thing ever, but i was psyched.
2 more weeks to go. Talk to you all on the 1st!
yay! you're here! Way to go! That is amazing...I don't know how i will be able to stop counting calories...lol...what did you do, have any strategies? Awesome job!
I basically strategize in my head. Like I know if I have a big breakfast, everything else is little. Or if Im about to eat something, i just think of the ingredients. I probably go over some days but i know some days Im way under. And it seems to be working. I think i might go back though, cause im going back to gym this week and i really need to focus on that 1000 deficit.
Ok, so how did everyone do? I am down to 129.2 from 130 last week. Not much, but better than nothing I guess. : )
Hi there. Sorry for the late update. I actually haven't been to the gym in sometime and have been trying to keep the exercise up by walking around the neighborhood. Not sure what my weight is...haven't weighed myself since July 25. However, I have a feeling that I gained about 3 pounds...pretty discouraging. I am going to try and make it to the gym today. Between work and school I have just been too busy. I'll update my weight as soon as I make it to a scale!
Glad to see you're still here jfontaine!! And great job on your weight losses jfontaine and chacha!! Wish me luck...hopefully I won't be too disappointed! Keep working strong and getting those pounds off!!

total loss: 2.6 lbs lost. ughhh.
found out I have hypothyroidism so... hopefully with the right medication all of this hard work will start paying off again.
I was 128.2 on Saturday morning, but I kinda had a crappy weekend so we'll see what happens this week. Kla, did you mean to say that you weighed in on 8/11 instead of 7/11? Don't feel too bad, at least you lost and didn't stay or even worse GAIN! That is an acheivement in itself. You can do it!

back in the right direction! thanks chacha! I knew i just needed to get back to updating.. i feel like when you are doing a challenge you are held accountable. haha. going back to school in T-MINUS 8 DAYSS!! YIKES. Hopefully I'll be able to do another 3 this upcoming week. I just want to be under 140 again. I havent been since 7/3. I think mini goals are good... thats my mini goal for the week!!
