Anyone doing SLIM IN 6?
I found Slim in 6 to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned! I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent. I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time! Anyone doing it, or about to start it? I am ready for the 6 week challenge. I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works! I have seen results firsthand! I need a buddy!
Hello all.
I just saw the infomercial and I'm ordering it now. My husband will probably kill me because we don't have 60+ dollars to spend right now. I just have do do something. I tried to join the gym last week but with 2 children 3 and 6 it's more of a burden than anything. I got my refund yesterday. :-(
So, I saw this commercial and I figured it didn't seem too hard. I'm at 203lbs but I'm still a pretty active person. I start student teaching in 4 weeks and I'm praying I've lost a little bit by then. If not I must go shopping once again for appropriate clothes.
My mother and father are both in the 60's and are in very poor health. I have vowed not to grow older and go down hill. I'm going to make as much of my life as I can while I'm here....for me and my children.
Good luck to all and please say a prayer for me.

lightblueeyes73 - Congrats! :) You got the right attitude. Keep doing the RIU until you are comfortable at it. Actually I find that RIU is still tougher on the legs/thighs works than BIU sets. Although BIU is more heart pumping higher pace moves. Keep it up!
sheilabkr - welcome :) Anyone should be able to do SI6. It has 3 steps that helps you build up your fitness level. Always go at it at your own pace. If you can only manage to do 4 reps of the move as suppose to 8 reps then so be it. You will eventually be fitter and able to catch up with the full reps. Basically you are doing it slower than them (in the DVD). What is important to watch is your form and proper usage of the muscles, and your breathing. Good Luck!

Well, I have been reading your posts about Slim in 6 - and I just dropped $65 to get it! I hope I can stay motivated, so it will be worth it - can't wait til it gets here!
hey guys! i guess i'm among the millions that have put their trust in Slim in 6... i plan to start next monday, i'll be attending a family reunion this week... and you already know what that means... FOOD! so, once i return home, i plan on going to the market to get as prepared as possible... can anybody suggest a meal plan to go along with the program? i was really hoping one would be included with the package, but its just my luck that they dont. im trying to stay within the 1950- 2000/ day range... any suggestions would be very helpful and appreciated
Hi, can I join in with you guys? Although I never have before, I keep hearing how being part of a group can be really helpful and motivating. I love slim in 6 because I know it works... I lost a lot of weight using it in the past but then things happened and weight crept back on... so I have dusted out the ole SI6 DVDs again. For the past 3 weeks I've only gotten myself to press play 2-3 times a week but I'm hoping with the support and motivation I'll be able to stick to it better. And hopefully I'll be able to be helpful to you to. :)
Slim in 6-er's!! Check out this link!! (I don't know how to make it clickable so you'll have to copy-paste... sorry!!)

Hi ladies! I just ordered the SI6 and happened to find this forum through a wild google searchl. I wanted to hear real testimonies from real people and I'm estatic! I am 5"5 and 170 lbs and am totally amped to lose this weight. It's hard to believe that 2 years ago, I was a size 7. Some of the weight gain is attributed to using food as a source of comfort when my marriage was at it's worst, and the other half would be due to a smoking cessation last Oct. which threw on 35 lbs. I am currently seperated and healing through lots of Higher Power (God) healing, counseling, and self-love/forgiveness. And SI6 fits right in with self-love/forgiveness.
Anyway...I'm so glad to have found this forum as being able to share the weight-loss experience and gain some hints/tips/advice about weight management is really a type of environment of which I thrive. I look forward to a rewarding experience!

Do I need the resistance banmd at the beginning? I got the dvds second hand, and don't have the band, but I'm sure I can buy a resistance band tor eplace it. I am just wondering how long I can wait before buying one?
OMG... I decided to give BIU a try last night... Oh My.. It is quite the workout ... I must say =D Is anyone else doing BIU right now??? I could only make it through the first 35 minutes of the workout.. but you know.. im not gonna stress about it... I m gonna go at my own pace until i can do the whole thing with out stopping and with perfect form =D so i t might be slim in 12 weeks or something like that..haha
htracey - Yes you will need the resistance band begining with SIU. I bought my dvds second hand as well and just picked up the band at Wal-Mart for like 6 bucks i think. It seems to be working just fine.

htracey - either the band or a set of dumbells. Nifty thing about the band is you can adjust the resistance as you need it. With weights you kinda stuck with the set weight :)
lightblueeyes73 - I still do BIU here and there. Tip for the floor-legs workout, alternate the legs you are resting on. A nice cushion like the exercise matt helps too. (For me yoga matt is too thin)

I cant believe the results Im getting doing BIU.... even though i feel like puking after 35 minutes of this work out ... Im loving the way my body is changing.. and the energy i have through out the day... wooo hooo... I am going to need to go buy some smaller pants here real soon =D
Hows everyone else doing????
sweet_tart - Thanks for the helpful hints =D I tried the alternate leg method and it seemed to help. That segment is the one I cant stand the most of the whole workout.. I never know if my form is right... how do you know????? Oh and btw I checked out your profile and your abs look great.. how long have you been doing slim in 6????

Well, I finished with SI6 and used it for more than 6 weeks. I didnt follow the calendar and just did it at my own pace. BIU can be used as long as you want even after the 6th week.
Correct form? well, I checked my form in the mirror, not when I was following the routine. Memorize the posture so when I do the DVD I can do it correctly. If your form is correct, you should feel your muscles (not bone joints) working and engaged throughout the workout.

Good Day!
My name is Yvette.
I am really happy I found a group who is or has done the SI6 program. I am new to it having only done it for 3 days.
I have enjoyed reading the previous posts. I hope to be able to stay motivated enough to do at least the 6 weeks. So might need some motivation:)

I also started the SI6, and am on week 3 (first day today with BIU) ouch!! I've actually have gained 4 lbs while on this, and I was wondering if anyone had the same results. I'm not giving up, although I cry at the thought of weighing myself. Anyone?
I'm just about done with my SI6. I'm on week 5. So far I've had great results. I've lost a couple of inches in my waist. And I've lost four pounds. I've had quite few compliments already on how much weight I've lost! I'm eager to move on to a new program though. It does get a litle boring after awhile. It's a great program, with great results, but it can get a little repetitive. I've ordered Hip Hop Abs and will do that after this.
Anyone here use WOWY on the Beachbody (Milliondollarbody) site?
sweet tart, you seem very dedicated to the program. Are you registered with the Milliondollarbody? Maybe I'll see you on the boards sometime.
KPP (Keep Pushing Play)!

I want to try this, but I'm still kinda skeptical if it works. If I tried this would I really see results in 6 weeks? It seems unrealistic. Does anyone have any complaints?
Although I have not lost weight(gained 4) , I have lost inches, and after 2 full weeks I notice a huge difference in the way things hang ;o) The biggest complaint I have is that it can be a little boring, but like everyone else here I know I HAVE TO push play, even if I don't feel like it. Hope this helps
Cushie - I am on Week 6 (two days to go...yay!) and I saw a weight gain about three weeks in as well. Although I am now down a total of five pound down from when I started and lost an inch in my waist and hips and thighs. I am planning to skip next week (as recommended) and then start again the following week.
Boredom doesn't seem to be a problem for me, I just concentrate on doing the moves as "perfectly" as possible. (too much pilates, maybe).
Ya gotta do something for exercise, I totally recommend Slim in 6, The Firm, and Pilates.

I just purchased slim in 6 at beachbody.com. So it should be here as soon as 4 days. I'm still kinda skeptical but I'm ready to rty something. I guess I'll be back here later either complaining or beside myself with happiness.
