Clean Eating Challenge deejlb

Ok, there seems to be a mysterious condition going around that is causing sabotage to our eating. I know I'm not alone here when I admit that my eating this past little while leaves a lot to be desired, causing slight weight gain after such hard work to lose it.

I also know, that I am the same person who was practically flawless in my eating for like almost 90 days straight, so I know I can get ahold of this - who's with me?? 

There is no deadline for sign-ups, anyone can join at any time!!

All you have to do is check in once a week (at least) & let us know how you're doing. If/when you "cheat", simply let us know & I will restart your start date.

A cheat is defined as whatever a cheat would mean to you personally, whether it be going over your calories, bingeing, not eating enough, too many treats, etc. We all know when we've cheated, so just be honest with yourself

Let's be honest with each other & keep each other eating clean k? The PRIZE to the winner? Well that's easy - weight loss!!!!!!!!! (or maintenance for those at that stage!) Let's do this!

If you lose your mind & cheat, just let me know. Then you can re-start from the next day. I'll simply unbold your name, along with updating your new start date.

After being clean for a week after a re-start, I'll re-bold your name. So you always have a chance to feel like you are succeeding. 

Also, if you just don't feel like you want to partake in the challenge anymore, can you let me know so I can remove your name from the list? Thanks!!

Anyone not checking in for one week (December 25 - December 31) will be removed from the challenge.

UUGGHHH restart friggin tacos the 4 chicken tacos the day befor yesterday atleast they were homemade though and no cheese or sourcream just salsa arrgghhhh but chinese last night sesame chicken 4 fried wontons AND wonton soup. At the very least I had white rice. I hate myself:) btw anyone know how big a serving of sesame chicken is anyway the cc said 1 serv is 844 CAL ##@@$$%^^&& Holy Crap!!

I'm doing great!!  I weighed in at 155 lbs this morning from 160 the last time I weighed in.  I have also added jogging to my exercise routine (along with the Slim & 6 after work) in the mornings for 15 minutes before I get ready for work. I feel great and I can finally fit into some of my old summer clothes.  This really helps my motivation and I will continue!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, this is absolutely pathetic...but I already need a restart & I just started!!  Geesh!!  Can I blame it on my husband?  Well, I'm going to.  When he is home in the evenings (he's usually on 2nd shift)...he always wants to eat out.  Normally I can handle that because I go somewhere & order something within my calorie range.  But...last night...he really wanted Mexican...and there is nothing healthy at a Mexican restaurant (well, I know fajitas are supposed to be okay...but definitely not in my calorie count!)...Anyway, I ended up eating lots of chips & salsa and 1...er...okay...4 enchiladas!  But I swear today I going back to my 1200 calories hard-core.  But on a happier note...I at least did resist the sweet tea & had a diet coke instead...doesn't that count for something??!!

reb I restarted like 2-4 times RIGHT AWAY!  I felt terrible, but it reminded me the next time my boyfriend wanted me to eat something unhealthy.  You really need to do what is best for you, since you are with your husband all the time, tell him to not ask you if you want to go, say "I really wanna do this for myself."  Make sure he knows you are dead serious about it!  I told my boyfriend that I really wanted to do it for myself and the next time we went out ... we went to Sonic and he said 'are you sure you want to eat here?' (he was going to still obviously, but he asked, and it made me feel better)...but I told him how I did really good all week and that I'm only getting a sandwich and eating a few of HIS fries so it was ok, lol.  It isn't perfect, but you can't be perfect right away!  Make adjustments, then make more adjustments when you get used to those, and keep going like that. 

You really have to remember why you're doing it, you have a great support system on here, and keep in the back of your mind that you can't be perfect yet, but next time you eat out, eat your chips and salsa (they aren't perfect, but order WATER or UNSWEETENED ice tea, it helps with the sodium/salt of the meal) and only eat one enchilda, and also dear, remember to take your time to eat, cus usually you'll feel worse if you keep eating! :)

I'm doing good! Lost 3 pounds this week cause I started drinking more water and staying under 1300 calories.

Reb, you don't have to cut it out completely, if you really love it like I do, limit yourself, if you do really well, feel really good about what you eat throughout the weeks/days then treat yourself to a well proportioned (meaning, not too much over) mexican meal, if you think you'll over eat,  have them box half of your meal up right away and then dig into your food.  have your husband take your to go box so you wont' open it up and eat at it.

Hi everyone!  I'm eating healthy and exercising more.  I've lost a couple pounds too!  Gee...I wonder why?! ;) 
(I'm pretty happy about that!)

you guys are the best.  It so nice to see that I'm not in this alone.  I think if you have a cheat, enjoy it and restart.  You all are so caring and so motivating I absolutely love checking in.  Sometimes if feels like people don't care about other people so for me it's nice to come to a community where we all share the same goals and cheer each other on.   I'm living clean for today.  I'll let you know all about tomorrow, tomorrow.  Have a GREAT evening.  I look forward to chatting with ya tomorrow.  Big Hugggzzzz.

I'm still here!  But I need a restart :(  Since Friday I've been eating horribly.  All my friends were graduating this weekend so there were parties left and right...I couldn't resist having a few beers...and a long island...and then since I was rushing around all day to commencement ceremonies and hadn't eaten...we ended up drunkenly chowing down on french fries and potato skins and a quesadilla at 3am...  It felt better than starving, but it DEFINITELY wasn't "clean eating".  And I've just been all over the place with my sleeping habits and going out that I haven't been eating regularly and haven't been working out AND missed my weekly marathon training run.  BUT I finally joined a gym yesterday, so that's a big step!  Now I just need to go use it ;)  And I need to buy some new running shoes so I don't injure my knees and ankles on my 6 mile run this weekend...

Anyways, I would like to restart, but not today.  I want to restart on Monday, so...the 25th?  My mom is having a bbq tomorrow, so I already know I'm not gonna do so great.  But I'm also in an "in between" stage right now where the food in my kitchen is going to go bad soon so I need to eat it before I go grocery shopping again, but the rest of my food is all gone...  So I'm just gonna try to finish off what I have left and do some GOOD grocery shopping this wknd.  That's why I want to restart for Monday :)

The weekend starts here!  Hi gang, it's a party weekend with friends visiting but I'm going to eat and drink in moderation.  I've gotten to kind of like it?!!  As much as I miss Mexican food, I guess I should be glad that the chips and salsa temptation isn't near.  But I learned recently that I need to go the US and I've already started planning a binge.  Or maybe that's not the right word.  My celebration of all food that I miss: glazed old fashioneds with good coffee, tacos and chips, ALL ETHNIC food except Italian basically, Cheesecake Factory, brownies, I get delirious thinking about it.  Is it possible to induldge and stay clean?  Maybe if I stay in the gym a couple hours each day?

Hi browndgg, I've got two club nights tonight and tomorrow night.  My plan of action is this: no wine at dinner.  Then a martoonie at our bar before we set out to the party and while at the party, I'll stick to vodka and soda water.  No more than a couple.  Tomorrow will be a more hardcore party and I've not braced myself for that challenge just yet! "eekks" is right!

Hey all! Sooo, I went like 5 days good & then bad. Sheesh, I just dunno why I cna't get my head into this eating thing for longer. I don't know if it's cuz i'm so much closer to goal or what. But I want to lose these last 14 or so lbs so I can start eating more food.

We have to work today  & will be back tomorrow, so I will definitley be eating good then. I have changed my start date to tomorrow.

got2loseit- sorry I deleted you. You must nto have checked in in the last week. The weeks run tuesday - monday. Every monday I check in for the last week & anyone not checking in gets deleted. Otherwise, the list would be soooo long with people never checkign in again. Just try to check in once a week, k?

nancy- I totally think we can indulge & stay clean. Just don't go crazy -stupid with anything & you'll be fine. You gotta go by your own rules. I know some of us have tighter guidelines & some have more leanient ones. Whatever they are for you is what works for you. So if for you, working out a couple more hours to compensate for something you ate/are going to eat is your guidelines, they go for it!!!
