I'm crying as I'm typing, so please overlook all typos...I'm really not all here.

Our son, who turned 18 last month, has been missing now for 76 hours. He went to work Monday, left work and no one has heard from him nor seen him since. He wasn't having any problems with us, Sunday we all were together and had a great time. He wasn't having any problems with his girlfriend. He did have a bad day at work and we are guessing he went off on a drive too cool down, but we really don't know. He didn't say anything to anybody about where he was going. He was in a hurry to get to work that day and left his wallet home. So he has no money on him nor any access to money. We were able to get into his bank account today and there hasn't been any unusual activity in the last month. We have called everyone he knows and no one knows anything. His girlfriend has called everyone she can think of too.

This is so out of character for him. He has never done anything like this before.

The police are involved and doing all they can. Two different aerial searches were done today and tomorrow there is a ground search going on with volunteers and the police department. He has been listed as a missing person in all 50 states along with a description of his blazer. The police department made up fliers for us to put around town. The top of it says "Missing Person, Suspicious Circumstances".

This is so unreal. This is something that happens on TV, not in real life. The roller coaster of emotions is beyond imagination. The possibilities of what has happened to him and where he might be are endless. To the East of us is a canyon, to the West is desert hills. He could be anywhere. Not knowing anything is the worst.

My husband and our other children are hitting their limits too. Our home is crazy is an understatement. We have had lots of friends and family offer love and support. Meals have been brought in for three days. Our phones are ringing off the hook with well wishers and everyone wondering what they can do.

I'm sorry for going on and on, I just want to cover all the bases, but I'm sure I've missed some things.

Prayers are definitely welcome.

Mostly I'm still in shock. I'm not sure I'll be back on the site for a while. I will post as soon as we know anything.

I can't begin to imagine how you feel.

Did you happen to get the person's phone that told you they gave Chris a smoke? Maybe if she sees him again she can question him.

Do you know if his passport is missing? Seems odd that he didn't have his wallet or license, but passport.

I am going to post the link to his website on some forums for Colorado and I have an aunt in Denver, I'm going to send her an email. Her son travels all over Colorado for his job.

I was just wondering about the passport... Before that lady told you he showed his passport for ID, had you told her he didn't have his wallet?  It seems like such a powerful lead.

I wouldnt say its weird (we know these things happen), but its definately frustrating. I want this to be over for all of you. No, I wish this never happened to you. When my son turned 18 I cried for three days because I knew he was out growing me. I cant imagine if he disappeared and I couldnt find him or help him.

Please God, bring an end to this families nightmare.

We do not have Chris' pasport, I know we have asked his real mom if she had it and I haven't heard back one way or the other. Dave may know. We have heard from others that for him to get a fake one or to update his wouldn't be that hard, it would be a lot easier then faking a drivers licence.

We do have contact information for the lady that saw him. She also has our information and the numbers for the police here as well.

This morning I felt like we are so close to finding Chris that I could almost taste it. I hope it's not just a feeling I'm feeding myself, but I felt like we are on the homeward stretch. That may have been confirmed by an individual who contacted us to let us know we may be on the right track looking for Chris. While talking to this person I had the thought run through my head "isn't it wonderful that we still have Good Samaritins amongst us today". I will let you know more as we learn more. Our police are working on these leads. Please pray for them as well.

Today is a good day. I'm in good spirits and smiling. My heart is full of joy and hope. I feel happy today. It is a good feeling.

"I'll be home for Christmas" is stuck in my head. I hope that it is Chris letting us know he will be back with us for the holidays. I almost can't even imagin it. The thought of Chris being home - wow...I've almost lost sight of that.

You are all so wonderful! Thank you for helping me through this - the good and the bad. Thank you for also being Good Samaritins in my life!

I don't post here that often, but I just wanted to let you know that your family and Chris are in my thoughts on a daily basis and I wish nothing but the best. I hope you find Chris soon...
