Anyone doing SLIM IN 6? alydaven
  Jan 11 2007 16:13
I found Slim  in  6  to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned!  I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent.  I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time!  Anyone doing it, or about to start it?  I am ready for the 6 week challenge.  I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works!  I have seen results firsthand!  I need a buddy!

I'm on my second week! Definatly feel better for it.

I did SIU for 3 days because my legs really killed me. I thought why not for RIU on the 4th day and I actually found it better than SIU. Legs hurt less now its more my tummy that is suffering. I have found it gets much easier as you go along. Debbie is right about gaining strength and form quickly, some exercises I really needed a break on that i don't any more.

Overall I'm loving it and I am already eager to do burn it up!

Anybody on here got any before and after shots?

I would say that if it was too hard for you to do a modified version of any of the excersising.  Take your time, or march in place.  It does get easier.  My legs were so sore the first week for 4 or 5 days.  I am on RIU and my stomach feels it the most.  I love that part.  The good part is that she breaks up the excersises.  By the time we get to the band resistance phase I am very relieved!!

i just finished day 2 of SIU. i did a lot better than yesterday, though i still cannot complete those plies and squats! grrr.... my thighs were screaming at me the whole day today (still are), which is a good thing, i guess. i think i'm gonna give it another day or two before moving on to RIU. does anyone has a good music suggestion that would go well with the routines? i find the background music a bit boring.
#704 sweet_tart Jun 27 2007 06:19
Unfortunately the background music is far from inspiring XD I created my own playlist for SI6. Just whatever songs I like to hear.

When you get to the second set of standing side crunches in BIU and she does like 4 sets of 8, I'm totally out of it, jaw dropped on the floor thinking "Is she crazy"... then the resistance bands, she does so much more in BIU. I've only done it twice but can really see that once it's over for the day, I'm happy I got thru what I got thru.... that floor work is a booty kicker!!!

Hi all!!  I just ordered Slim in 6 on Sunday and I'm waiting for it to arrive (should be this week).  I was looking online to see what people had to say about it (I bought it on an impulse and had a little buyer's remorse afterward) and I found this forum.  I think this is amazing how everyone motivates eachother and talks openly about weight problems.  I'd really like to join in and hopefully the motivating words from all of you will help me finally stick to the program all the way through for once.

All,

I am going to start my second round of SI6 Friday.  I read somewhere that one week off was recomended, and I am very excited about round two.  I did round one differently then recomended.  I did SIU for 5 days, then for 3 weeks I did RIU.  For my last two weeks I did a mixture of RIU and BIU.  I really was not liking the BIU... it was killing me!  I still had great results.

This time I am going to see if I can do 3 days of SIU, 3 weeks of RIU, then 2 weeks (ish) of BIU.  If I wanted to, I could totally do RIU for the full 6 weeks.  I really love it, but we'll see!

Keep it up everyone!  OH!  I am going to take before and after pictures also!  I regret not taking them last time...

Hey Slim in sixers!!

I'm just finishing up week 3 and great progress so far!  I've lost 3 inches off my waist and I'm actually doing RIU the whole way through and not breaking a sweat till 20 minutes in...wow!  The only thing that's STILL kicking my ass is those legs lifts but I think i'lll have those down by the end of the week.  Just thought I'd check in!  Hope you're all kicking ass too! xoxo

Thanks flgirl!  I pushed a little harder this morning and I've been feeling it all day!  I "feel" like things are working... just need to stay away from the scale and tape measure for a few weeks!

Good luck Everyone!  Just think how great we'll all look in less than six weeks!

flgirl, OMG, I started BIU last night and it totally kicked my butt!  I thought I was in really good shape after the RIU.  I could see great definition on my arms and legs (of course the stomach still needs a lot of help!).  I couldn't believe the difference between RIU and BIU; a lot bigger than SIU to RIU!  Hopefully by the end of the 6 weeks, we'll see a huge difference because of BIU!

jenn2ca, welcome and good luck in your SI6 success.  We are all here for motivation!

crazineko, I can see why you don't like BIU!  I couldn't wait to start BIU because I felt like after the 2nd week I needed to move on to BIU.  I stuck to the original exercise plan and waited until the first day of week 4.  Now I am so glad that I did!

marissamb, congrats on making it to the half way mark!  And I am so happy to hear that you are having such great results!  It sounds like you and I started around the same time!

You know what hurts the most?  My back muscles!
#711 flgirl Jun 28 2007 15:41
TMMACHADO, I know what you mean about your back, when she does all those sets of the row, I think I'm going to pass out. My fav tho is the double bicep curl then the singles then back to doubles. After the second set of push ups all I can think is how great my arms are going to be!!!!

Let's keep at it!!!!!!

What is everyone going to do when they are finished with SI6?

Another round of SI6?
Another Beachbody product?
Some other fitness routine/product?
Nothing?

Another round of SI6!
I finished my first round of SI6 last week, and I am waiting until Friday (tomorrow) till I start fround two of SI6.  I have another 20lbs till I hit my first goal of 145, so why not keep going?  After all, "it's just six weeks" (of mild torture!).

I wanted to try Slim In 6 but wasn't sure if it worked.

I didn't read through all 36 pages of this thread but it seems like there's a lot of positive opinions on it. :] So I'm guessing if you guys are generally happy with it, it might work for me too.

I'm really intrigued by P90X. I always see their infomercial and the diffence they show in 90 days is really amazing. But they have a warning that you have to be at a certain fitness level before attempting it, and one of them is completing at least one round of SI6 plus being able to do their tests. I am just in week 1 of SI6 so I won't have to think much about it for the next 5 weeks. c", )

I did my first RIU last night.  I thought I would be really sore this morning, but I feel fine!!  I've also lost a 1/2 inch on my stomach... not much, but good for a week.  How's everyone else doing?

I varied my workout with Turbo Jam, Tai Chi, etc. But, not like I discard SI6 now that I am finished with it. I still go back to BIU as part of my variation.

I just got my SI6 in the mail today and have already done the SIU for today.  Is anyone taking the supplements that are recommended in the book?  I'd rather not spend the additional money on them if I don't have to.  I'm excited about this program and hope to see results soon.

Tomorrow is my last day of my 3rd week.  I am tired!  But I find that when I dont do it I either feel lazy or like I am missing something for my day.  I have lost 1 1/2 inches off my stomach in the last 3 weeks and about a 1/2 inch from my thighs.  I love the workout on my legs and stomach and hate to work out my arms.  I dod not buy the supplements for this program though.  I am a lifetime member of weight watchers and have a pretty good eating habit(except for that time of the month!!!)  I started this program at 140 pounds and am now 137 pound.  My goal is to be between 125-130.  Do you think that the supplements are the key to this programs weight loss?  Cause they asked me how much I wanted to loose when I ordered it and then offered me a million different products that would have costed me what seemed like hundreds of dollars.

Souzatwin,  I don't really agree with all the fad pills and vitamins.  I'm a nurse and I know what daily supplements I need to take.  I'm not really very big on "diet pills" or pills to help with diets.  I believe that if you eat right and exercise, you'll lose the weight you need to and get fit.  Keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat...so keep an eye on the inches.  So, no, I don't think that the pills are the key to the program.   But, I'm also just starting out on it.  I've lost 22 lbs since February just by eating right and exercising.  I'm just looking for something to step it up a bit and to use as an alternative on rainy days when I can't get outside.
