| Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...
I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey. Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen.... Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide. I am back from all my vacations and ready to get back on track....

| hi, im new to this, i am 5'3 and 3/4..lol have to add that, im 155 and im looking to loose about 10lb, that is where i feel the best at, i wont be mad if i can get smaller, but my body doesnt seem to want to be any smaller, im married we have a soon to be 2 year old little girl and my husband 12 yr old sister lives with us also, i work full time so my meals are some what heathy for quick easy as we all know, but full of sodium i do drink alot of water almost a gal a day to try to flush some of the salt out. do you guys weigh in on a certain day? i havent been able to read all of your messages, i see some people are leaveing for the 140's good luck i hope to be there soon. any help advice would be great. thanks | ||

the vacations were great, but re-entry is hard.
have to be serious about this...still have 17 to lose. the way i'm stuck makes me think I"ll be really good at maintenence, if I can ever get down. water, water, water. |

I don't know whats wrong with me... I just can't seem to stay on track. It seems like I go good for a few weeks, and then just fizzle out.
Here I am again, starting once again. I'm afraid to weigh myself, not only because I've slipped, but because I'm waiting for the TTOM weight to release itself :) However, something motivated me to get back on the wagon: I had to buy new pants for work this weekend because the ones I had were HANGING off me! And thats only after 9 pounds. I dropped at least a size (the new ones are slightly loose, but I can't walk around in slightly too-tight clothes at work!).... I can't wait to see what I look like at my goal... and what little sizes I can squeeze into. I always wanted to be in the single digits... it always seems like those are the ones on the clearance racks! Anyways, I'm glad I'm back- I love reading everyone's posts, they're very inspiring! |

Hello all fellow newbies....hollybelle, elsier,sianr1987,emskirooni and justsee 75! I picked a good month to start! Tonight I start back on the exercise wagon....next week I will add the food counting back in : )
I'm 5'7" - still 158.5, not bad for backsliding a week and half (again - up from 157). I had McDonalds tonight...but this will be the LAST time this month..I promise!!!!! (See putting this writing means I have to do it now : ) Way to go messam and Brigette...good luck!!! Well, I'm off to straighten up the house...and then walk, walk, walk. |

good morning.. its a new day.. had half a pop tart with my daughter.. dont really know why i ate it, it wasnt even that good.. oh well do better for lunch right.. stuck at 154.4 two days in a row.. hmmm any ideas? maybe a water pill.. i have a scale that tells body fat etc. say im almost 60% water it that right or even good? anyone know..?

Its been a couple of days but here I am! My son got his shots and we got some bad news from his doctor so I havent been posting that much.
Congrats unicat on the move too the 140's thread!! Good for you prettybowen on the pound lost! And to everyone else... Keep at it, we can do this!! ;-) I have been at 158.4 for the last 2 days. Im not going to sweat it at least its not a gain. Anyhow.. off to start drinking water, water and more water..LOL |

Hollybelle: I heard that you can't trust scales and things to give you accurate percentages of body fat. Similiar to the amount of calories burned it says on the treadmill. Mostly because they are set for a standard type of person. We are all unique, so don't get discouraged!! Don't stress out just yet! We can all make it!

| thank you prettybowen i will keep that in mind.. do you or anyone know what sodium intake should be, i havent really been paying attention to it because i drink so much water, but i just wanted to know, i do eat alot of processed food, i know its not a good thing but as we all know having a family and working full time thats what is easiest, especially at work. | ||

| I found a website that says 1000-3000mg of sodium is recommended per day( http://health.rutgers.edu/factsheets/sodium.htm) So maybe stick to 2000mg or so. I am not an expert or anything. Just a researcher...haha. Anyways, I eat a lot of processed food too, just because it is handy. I did go buy tons of fresh veggies this week to replace the "bad foods". I also bought salt free peanuts and I love them!! I can imagine the salt there and I don't miss it. The nutrition label says 0mg of sodium. Also on that can of peanuts it says for a person on a 2000 calorie diet you should have less than 2,400mg per day of sodium, less than 65g of fat, and less than 300mg of cholesterol. My can is pretty informative! Just a thought. | ||

| Hello all! Still hanging out at 153-154! Drinking tons of water, (80-100 oz. per day) and sticking right around 1600-1700 cals per day, and walking 4 miles every evening! And NOTHING!!!! I feel very annoyed by this! Not sure what I am doing wrong, except maybe not being patient enough! I will post my progress daily for awhile so someone can help! So far today I have had an eggbeater omelet with veggies and 1 oz of cream cheese and two pieces of dry whole wheat toast at 8:30am and a regular roast beef sandwich from Arby's for lunch at 12:30pm. I will eat a snack, maybe some oatmeal or fruit around 3pm, than chicken and veggies for dinner. Probably a bowl of crispix around 8pm after I walk. | ||

Thank you very much, i also just found wher eit says a health adults no more than 2300 mg, so there we have it.. lol boy i need to work on that.. im at 1900mg but that dose include my dinner since i already know what im having.. so i guess a low salt dessert huh..: ) i luv peanuts i may have to get some, actually i luv anything that equals peanuts, peanutbutter, reeses..lol have to stear clear of that.. again thank you for your help prettybowen.
carie87 how long have you been at that steady weight? i woud l say maybe mix up your rutine a bit maybe your body needs a little change then go back.. since you walk 4 mikes everyday, maybe walk a mile run 5 min or what ever you can stand and switch off..i had to actually increase my cal to get down to 154 i was at 156 for ever.. so maybe try something a little new..then go back after you break the pattern in weight.. |
