Hi all!  Thanks for the warm welcome....Its great to have a place to talk to people, being that everyone I know, and love, is skinny, can eat anything they want, and just cannot understand the daily struggle with food...This site has opened my eyes to a bunch of things I could not have seen otherwise.  Like how much sodium I am eating, no wonder my rings barely fit sometimes!  For everyone struggling out there, this is the hardest time to get through, pizza parties, birthdays, christmas parties, cookies, candy....and I have three of those things this week.  I am struggling, with the first thing, a big 4 hour training session and they are feeding us pizza.  To not eat, its like I point myself out that I am different, and I know I shouldn't care, but I do.  Its embarrassing.  BUt I am going to do it, and bring my own food.  This will be really hard, because I LOVE pizza....but for me if I go there, it will start  a manic craving and lead to a whole week of bad eating......so for now...wish me strength.....:)  Thanks for listening!

hello,

Looking for a home. Been  a member of CC since Feb but been away for awhile. Starting weight was 308. Now at 266 lbs. I am so struggling. It is so hard. I take some different medications and found out I have an abnormal thyroid. Of course its hypo not hyper! They seemed to have straightened out my medicine now, but it is still so difficult to get passed where I am now. I have been at this weight for 1 and a 1/2 months. I am trying very hard not to be discouraged.

I do love the holidays,but dread the food celebrations. Anyone out there have some holiday prevention!

hi all, i havent posted in a while. I'm now down to 233.5 which means i've lost 51lbs since i started! i am 2.5lbs away from my mini goal, but i havent decided what i want to do to celebrate it yet!

My next goal is to get to 219 hopefully before 7 Feb '08, so thats 14.5lbs in the next 10 weeks.  I think its do-able as long as i really dedicate myself!

Seems like we lost the thread in the mass of chatty people! Haha. I miss all of you guys! I still need your support, and I bet some of you feel the same, well I hope you do!

Please people, POST!! Haha.

I'm still stuck around 230, I went down to 228, but now I'm back up again. I don't get my body, really, I don't.

I have been drinking so much water I need to 'piddle' every hour or so, I've been cutting down on my sodium intake, and I have been attempting to reduce the amount of carbos I eat. I took a couple days off working out (Sat-Tues) and then worked out on Wednesday for approx 3 hours burning off about 1200 calories, and I haven't been able to get there since.

It's my last week of actual classes this semester and I'm slammed with exams next week. I have 5 altogether. One of my classes was finished this week, so that relieves one exam. Oh man, when I'm finished on the 15th I'm going to work out so much, and gunna try and reach under 200, HOPEFULLY.

Anyway, I miss all of you and hope you post more!

alldolledup, ah I also have finals coming up! Good luck on them.

 I'm also around 230 pounds now. I'm hoping to get down around 227 by Christmas and 225 by New Year's.

I LOST WEIGHT ON VACATION!

That does it! I simply MUST MUST MUST go on more three-day vacations to the coast! (giggle!) I stepped on the scale this morning with tremendous trepidation and Herculean hesitation and somber seriousness ... only to see that nifty red digital number go to ... (drumroll please).... 307.4 pounds. WHAT!?!? I got on and off three times, but my wonderful DH assured me the number stayed the same each time! (I rely on him since I refuse to wear glasses for the weigh-in since they ... well, weigh something!)

WEIGHT LOSS REPORT FOR SATURDAY, DECEMBER 8.

Starting weight: 369.0

Current weight: 307.4

Weight lost this week: 5.2 pounds

Weight loss to date: 61.6 pounds

Percentage of weight lost (of starting weight): 16.6 %

I was missing this thread, too, Dolled, glad you brought it back.

I'm now down a total of 19 from very start, Oct 4.

Having trouble staying the course now and then, but trying to get to 230 (another 7# loss) by New Year's.

We've been running ragged with various commitments, which should taper off in the next week, but I am so NOT ready for Christmas!!!

Ok I was gone from CC a loooooong time but am back now.  My starting weight was 368.0, I lost down to 309.0 and then gained back up to probably the same starting weight. Right now I'm at 362.5 AGAIN and having more trouble this time losing than before.  So I guess that makes me in the 200+ lbs to lose group eh? LOL.

 But here I am! Congrats to all of you who are doing so well, it is inspiring. I hope I can join you soon.

Way to go Molly and Jenn!! You're doing so awesome. Very motivating and inspiring to see these losses each week!

Here's me....

Starting weight: 280

Current weight: 260

Total lost: 20 pounds!!!! 7.32% of weight lost! Can't wait until I reach the 10% mark.

The whole numbers game of keeping weight loss and deficit logs really helps to keep me on track. Something I can see in black and white I guess.

I was hoping to reach the 250 mark by Christmas, but I really think that's pushing it. I'm just happy I'm losing. I still can't believe that the key really IS diet and exercise. Who knew?!
