Good to hear from you hasta!  I didnt make the connection between cauli and roasted veg (Im not one to use the oven) but starting to rethink other veg potential.  Bee - I had a canolli recipe (an italian love) in which you used cheesecloth to compress 'drain' the moisture from it.  More power to tofu lovers - also cant get past the texture thing.

Rachael, you brave sole venturing through the gusty snow, which I personally love but from behind a window.  That body fat seems way off to me at 177 lbs.  Keep in mind for 3 mths, you not gained it back like so many do and are headed in right direction. :D

Good luck Sarah tomorrow - a good week is a great way to go into weigh-in and hard to believe tomorrow already.  Gina, Im an Obama mama so it was a bit much after last night to hear Clinton got TX.  Dont get me wrong, if no Obama, she'd have been my 2nd choice - Im also a fan.

Rachael - in 7 years Ive had a few squirrels in the same wall who find their way out and one who chewed thru.  For it I bought a heat vent grid, sealed the vent from the back and nailed it over the hole.  This new hole - right next to the fake air vent.

The election board honestly didnt know what to expect for turnout.  Dem nominee is always deterined prior to TX Caucus so this was the first year it mattered hence the turnout. I was told at my location, only 10 voters showed for it last Pres election.  Us voters knew little of the caucus too.  This is how they are supposed to go:

1. TX caucus begins at 7:15 p.m. or when the polls close, whichever is later.
2. Caucus-goers arrive and put their names and presidential preference on the "sign-in sheet."
3. The group first elects a chair and secretary.
4. Those two then take a count, noting the total number of people and how many are for Obama or Clinton.
5. Delegates then are determined proportionally.

With 1500 who werent close to fitting inside, we ended up with basically with a second election with the final decision being endurance.

Granted it was one of those big churches but not big enough.  Your right about the exercise - maybe not for someone else and even with the chair, the area was extensive enough that with all the moving around I woke up today with sore calves LOL.

Nuts in the house!  It was that or PB for the cage I'd picked up to trap the squirrel.  Other animals had baits listed as oatmeal or tuna but squirrels were just nuts/PB.  Ive been okay with them so far but just choose normally not to buy them - nuts and PB are a portion control problem.

Hi, I just started SB today! I was just wondering how everyone has been doin and what the weight loss totals were for everyone....

Hi Missie!  Wishing you well with Phase1 :D.  Here are two LINK LINKS for phase1 that might help.   SB has been berry berry good to me.  Of course having the gang on this thread has been a major factor too.

Granted Im a bit of an extreme case because I started at 465 Lbs but Ive down to 348 now.  For me it helps keep my hunger in check but the emphasis on good fats/carb.

Eventhough my long caucus night didnt result with a TX win, I got some satisfaction to see this on Yahoo headlines:
"Barack Obama regained lost ground in the fierce competition for Democratic convention delegates on Wednesday based on results from the Texas caucuses, partially negating the impact of Hillary Rodham Clinton's string of comeback primary victories."
Yea - my consolation prize :P.

Checked my weight from last week (forgot to log it) and turns out I was 248 - I lost a 100 lbs and didnt even know it!  Ive corrected the post and today am 344.6 from my squirrel chasing, caucusing exercise program.  That and my new foamy shoes.

Ive worn the same exact show for years -black flats.  Alice got me to try on these foamy rubbery black ones on because they were so amazingly comfortable.  They were so amazingly comfortable! Theyre not particularly purty but hide under my  floor length dresses anyway.  The thing is theyre more comfortable then walking shoeless.  I got Walmart knockoffs of a Skeechers brand and now have happy feet.

Sarah glad to hear your scale gave up and gave you your props! You must be enjoying the 50s :D and hubby time too.   You did the same Bee - last week was a tougher week but at your lower weight, that 15 lbs is something to smile about.  Glad your appetites adjusting towards your health and good luck on your exam!

Hope your daughters up for a visit Rachael - sounded like such fun last time.  You dont have much weight to go and I know its great to drop but you maintained and that means no gain.  I often put chicken in baggies and dont know til its deforsted if its thighs or breast.  If its thighs I usually have it for Kiki - not that theyre bad but since she prefers them and Ive adjusted to breast.

Wet and cold weather here so made some turkey chili with black beans and pinto beans.  havent tried it yet but the whole house smells wonderful.  The rest of the family is begging for cornbread but Ill have to pass and just be satisfied with the smell of it.  If I have just one bite Ill eat the whole thing LOL

Speaking of shoes I also bought some last week and almost had a heart attack at the price.  I splurged and paid the high price but my feet are very happy I did.  This was the most money Ive spent on shoes since I did track in high school.  Im usually the $9.99 kind of person so this was a big spend

HEE hee I dont ever want to the 160's again.

Look at that  -- Yeah for us!!!  Thanks for that Rachael - I found this for you Bee (not to speak for you :D) LINK  which was references 1/26 at 139.  She may have an update for the 16th.

I found some 98% fatfree Cream of Mushroom bought by accident at Thanksgiving (still good) - just what this rainy cold day needs.  High on sodium as soup can be.  Funny, didnt think about sodium before you Rachael and my friend Alice.  Id have the same cornbread concern myself Sarah, its that first bite problem.  I do the $10 shoes too - I wear them out but it makes it easier to justify when you find something to splurge on.

Stay warm everyone - especially if your out on a bike ride Rachael, brrr.

Chili was awsome going to make it again soon.  Went to walgreens and all that easter candy looked so good.  Lots of new items that I havent seen before.  I would stand and look at it... pick some up put it in my cart.... then put it back on the shelf... I did this at least 6 times.  I walked out with nothing but party supplies for my daughters B day in july(getting a head start) I was so proud of myself.  Rachel I saw all of your favs.  They have plenty of my favs too but just standing in the aisle and touching a few items seemed to do me just fine. Hope everyone else has the same good luck when confronted with all that stuff.
