When wasa crackers taste like a treat.
When the actual taste of real butter is a long lost memory.
When your fantasies no longer include Johnny Depp but instead, Little Debbie!
and yours?
Reason: 5/15/08: Stickied; 5/27/08: Unstickied.
Or someone is talking to you about how good lookin a guy is at the gym and you complain because if he gets into the fitness room before you he hogs the front with a spinner bike making it hard for you to go in and do your stretch and weight lifting tapes/dvds.
When the server at your families favorite breakfast spot knows you by your order: "Hi there- YOU LOOK FABULOUS! Will you be having the regular?- let me double check- egg white omelette, all veggie, sub cheese for salsa, low fat sour cream...wheat toast- dry...sub potato for fresh fruit...and ice water with lemon?" LOL Needless to say...we tip her very well:o)
when even a little bit of sugar gives you those funny bumps (not the herp, k?) on your tongue. or even slightly greasy, fatty or sugary food makes you physically unwell.
when you ask for kitchen scales for your birthday and buying a REAL LIVE liquid measuring cup is a new development in your life,
your love/hate attitude toward your scale is one of the most complex relationships in your life.
you talk to the aerobics instructors on your DVDs, and where you used to be a die-hard couch potato, your favorite way to de-stress is the foreign activity of jogging/walking.

When you go out for dinner and order diet soda and have to have your hubby taste it because it's so sweet you think you accidentaly got regular....when you need a seperate plate for your veggies because the regular one just isn't big enough for all your broccoli!
hahaha this is soo true.
I always get my family to try my soda!!!
Cant add those extra calories!!

when:
- you look at other people's food and can estimate how much they are eating
- you no longer have to take out a measuring cup to measure, or weigh meat. You just KNOW it.
- you eat all of your veggies and wish you had more opposed to the main dish
- you eat an apple for dessert because it's better than any ice cream bar you can think of
Oh my god I calorie count for others all the time. Its terrible xP But it usually makes me feel better about myself, unfortunately.
you start feeding your little sisters strawberries and celery when they go anywhere near a bag of chips.....
you start dreadin pizza parties (please tell me im not the only one....)
When you're doing really, really well with your fibre intake, but you haven't poohed yet today, so you refuse to take the scale seriously, because it's obviously out a pound or two.
If you exhibit many of these qualities, does that mean you have ED?

umm, by "many of these qualities" do you mean such as being aware of fiber and fat and sodium intakes? are you talking about the realization that fruit and veggies are tastier than cake and junk, and that water quenches thirst better than a diet soda? or perhaps the one where a person decides that it is okay to go outside and walk instead of staying in and watching that rerun of "Everybody Loves Raymond" that they've already seen 3 times before?
come on!! can we JUST FOR ONCE have a "fun, yeah I can relate to that" thread without SOMEONE dredging up "ED." honestly, that term is beginning to offend me more than some swear words do.
What's ED?
- You know you've been on a diet too long when you can pinpoint the exact food you need, rather than just being generally "hungry". It's like I'm a high performance machine now :p

Nobody else is going there, so I will:

LOL!!!! That is too funny... Yet I have totally been there... Glad I am not alone on that one! I still end up weighing-in and logging it but I have doubts in my head :P
PS. Shinybiscut... ED = eating disorder.
Oh Splitrail! you weigh yourself before???? If I have to go to work before things move...I won't weigh in!..................Guess I've been dieting too long!![]()

Cheers ^___^
I'm a bit disconcerted that we have a shorthand slang for Eating Disorder. Hmmm.
- When your coworkers want to go out for lunch on Fridays and they ask you what your options are: "Ok so what restaurants are you allowed to get food at?", because you know there are only a select few with decent low calorie options.
<---- It's true. It's SO TRUE.
The word 'diet' actually makes you wince. Diets are short term 'quick fixes' to you, and what you've been doing has been going on fo so long that it's damn near permanent. (w00!)
You get excited when you read an actual 'new' weight loss tip, because you know all of the other ones. You have developed the 'been there, done that' mentality.
You keep a sleeping bag and overnight bag in your locker at the gym because you actually live there.:P
when almost 3/4 of your plate consist on either huge tons of salad or veggies and you feel bad when some rice or other type of carbs come along the way of those healthy green stuff you now worship and swear that eventually they will lead your way to have a body just like jennifer aniston.
lol.

I was looking at some of the posts where people say they log everything immediately when they don't know how many calories are in something, or they count the amount of calories in the food of other people when they're eating. Or the fact that a lot of people just sit at CC every day when they're not eating, thinking about food or other people's problems with food.
I'm not against the eating healthy thing, where people are trying to get enough fiber or calcium or trying to stave off the sodium. I'm just concerned about the mindset of obsessive calorie counting? Or are the activities I mentioned above not obsessive enough to be part of a disorder?
fun...spelled: F-U-N
As in something to enjoy, feel light hearted about, something silly and not very serious.
Many threads out there for your worries...this is not one of them.
You know you have been dieting too long when you get snippy with people messing with your thread.

Ahaha, I like that one ;P

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
