A few of us have been chatting about how difficult we find weekends. Our problems range from not drinking enough water to simply not logging on to CC at the weekend. Other favourites include not exercising, drinking too much alcohol and not exactly staying on track food-wise! I'm pretty sure I've stayed away from CC at weekends because I knew my "friends" would kick my butt, get me moving and help me stay on track and I didn't REALLY want to! If any of this sounds familiar, then come and join us. I'm committing to logging on more at weekends, in order to stay focussed but I need people to chat with - interested? And if you have any bright ideas on how to stay on track at weekends, then please post them here - otherwise, chat to you at the weekend! |

For me, Friday night is the start of the weekend troubles, I am logging in to check out my support group! My plan is to stay on the straight and narrow tonight and tomorrow, but my family gets fresh bagels on Sunday morning, and some things are just what living is all about. I plan to have half a bagel with lox and onions, that's not out of the question. I got fresh strawberries (yum!) to keep me out of the cookies tonight, and tomorrow I've got salad veggies which I plan to prepare in the middle of the morning (ie before I get hungry). Not sure what I'm going to do about dessert tomorrow - maybe I'll try this recipe for pineapple/cottage cheese mousse. And of course - let's not forget my water challenge! yum, matty -- how did the dessert turn out? ( : I <3 fresh berries too. sorry I wasn't around last night. we went to see a friend's band play where I shook my booty for hours!! |

how's everyone doing? I didn't do so well, not so bad, but the pineapple mousse didn't really set, so the chocolate cookies started to sing a little tune from the cabinets... However, I did succeed in 64 oz H2O today, so at least one success was there! |

Well, I rode the bike for 20 minutes this morning, it was pretty hot and I didn't get started early enough, but that was pretty good, and I washed the car. Been doing pretty well on eating too. We went out last night and I had Cajun Catfish and veggies, don't know exactly how many calories, but it should have pretty light. Today I had a scoop of coconut gelato, I have no idea of how many calories in it, but it was a single scoop in a sugar cone, not too bad. Doing pretty good so far, I hope everyone else is too!!! My name is Carol and I want some strawberries too!!! |

I love fresh berries. I cant wait for the blueberries to come in. The sun is out here and I am waiting for my husband to get his lazy (ok fine, he worked until midnight) bones out of bed so we can get started with the day. I am planning to put in a serious workout this afternoon during the kids' nap time. I am desperately hoping nothing interferes with it. That is my biggest weekend problem. I have every intention, and every distraction. |

Welcome to all the newcomers -- Just checkin in -- Friday night Jeff and I stayed in and made dinner and I stayed within my cals for the day ( really excited that we didn't just say screw it lets go to the bar and watch the Cavs game) Yesterday was my marathon day - woke up and did a Heart Walk for the Heart Association. Parked my car at a friends house, walked a mile to the starting point, 3 miles for the walk, and a mile back to my car.. went home showered, went to my best friends wedding shower (ate small portions of all the good stuff and one delicious dessert even though the massive tray of chocolatey goodness was an arms length away from me) then went home, changed again, and off to work I went till midnight where I was running around, making sure beers and food were plentiful. - I was chugging water everytime I had a split second in between -- I'm liking this new job and from what people were saying / tipping lastnight I'm doing a good job at it too. 13 more days of teaching then summer is here! -- Woke up today to see *gasp* 162.2 - Jeff made me breakfast, and its off to the parents for dinner and the Cavs game... Lets hope they knock out the Celtics!! Hope everyone else is having a good weekend!! and ready to head back to reality tomorrow! |

welcome to the new girls ( : I did terrible this weekend. BUT I am hoping that by getting back to the usual lower cals and utrning the cardio notch WAY UP this week, maybe I can convince my body that it needs to lose a few before we go on vacation. yuck yuck yuck- so I have noooo willpower K- first to answer Olivia (and I have no Idea why I haven't used my real name)... it is Angela- nice to meet you :) So, I went out for the bday- to a really fun place, we had a tasting of appetizers, so not too much to eat- but the drinks, ehhhh.... not so much- I got caught up in the fun and then I wasn't feeling so well- so I missed the 5 k- I did try to get out of bed for it, but, laid back down for a second and that turned into a few more hours..... and ate like crap all day I feel like its back to square one- hopefully this icky feeling will be good motivation for me...... It is really fun reading all the activities that everyone participated in this weekend! |

Well, posting here really does help motivate me. I rode my bike 20 minutes on Saturday and 35 on Sunday which is a first. I also told my husband not to make brownies on Sunday night even though I love them. I am down a pound from Friday so I feel good about the weekend. -Carol |

Well, I have to give myself a B- for the weekend. Somethings went well - balanced meals, lots of water, no fizzy sodas. But I slithered around the dessert issue a bit more than I have planned ... However, I didn't pack the pounds back on the way I usually do on the weekend, so that's a big win for me! (gotta celebrate those intermediate milestones!) |

Well, I didn't weigh myself this a.m., will wait until tomorrow after I behave myself today and see what impact the weekend had. It was my Dad's 65th b-day on Sun and my MIL's b-day yesterday. I ran errands all day Sat, didn't check in to CC, didn't log my calories, didn't exercise (although, I'm sure that running around like a crazy person trying to do 12 hours worth of errands in 6 hours counts for something)....ate cake, had a few drinks with the fam.....so we'll see tomorrow. My name is Tammie. Nice to meet you all! Good for you Matty - I also find it hard to stay away from the fizzy drinks....

I think I failed on the weekend water challenge - awful I know! Just wasn't at home enough. Oh well. I'm making good food choices this week, so that's something. I will be checking in this weekend so come and keep me company if you want! Welcome, Tammie! |

It's almost here! ( : I will be in LA and Vegas all of next week, making good choices and still exercising and drinking water. I am sure this next weekend with a few less celebrations will be easier. xoxoxoxox I got up the last 2 mornings and RAN before work. (gasp!) |

just checkin in - so far so good this week - this weekend might be a little rough - I have a bachelorette party to go to Saturday night which might lead to hangover cure food on Sunday (i.e. PIZZA!!!!!) but I work Friday night and plan on getting my exercise in on Saturday afternoon before I head out. 3 day weekend this weekend! woohoo!
